We stopped by here for lunch, after seeing that it had fresh crab sandwiches (a favourite of my partner). He ordered a crab sandwich (served with salad), while I had a baked potato with cheese and baked beans, also served with a side salad (both £10).
Staff were friendly, and took our order quickly, but it took over 20 minutes from ordering to get our food.
My baked potato was perfectly good (though it is hard to go wrong with this). My partner's crab sandwich was well filled, but only let down by being served on standard sliced brown bread. (The day before he'd had a sandwich served on fresh, crusty granary bread.)
So it was all perfectly okay, but just not particularly memorable. read more
