On 12/08/23 Dave McGill & Tyler Greer of DM Electrical Services came to my home & installed a…read moreceiling fan in 1 of our bedrooms (Tyler) , a sconce in our main living room (Tyler), added outlets in our upstairs hallway & bathroom( Dave), & an outlet in our foyer (Tyler/Dave). A few days after they did the work, I went to my jewelry armoire in my master bedroom & realized that Dave or Tyler STOLE my Circle of Love 1st wedding married gift my husband gave me on 12/25/07. They also stole our Dyson sweeper, the attachments for it, a purple drink bin for Halloween, the Gatorade in it, and some things in our bedroom. Dave claimed that Tyler accidentally thought the Dyson was theirs, and returned it the next week. But, he never returned the attachments & the Dyson he returned to us WAS NOT OURS. A few weeks later, when I was getting my hair done at a beauty salon in Oenn Hills, Dave returned the necklace to me at the salon. Dave is a snake, a liar, & a cheat. He was a former HS friend of my husband, but with friends like that, who needs enemies?

SCAM ARTIST. I had J.L. Smith come in to have a cable wire installed, and he 1) charged me $15 more…read morethan the top end he mentioned on the phone ($215 total), and 2) made several holes in my basement ceiling which he just covered with blanks, 3) ruined my baseboard with his drill, 4) pulled the cable wire through the living room floor and then back into the wall above the baseboard (leaving the wire exposed), 5) didn't show me how the wire was exposed until I asked why he was drilling through the floor, and then 6) tried to tell me that's normal for the wire to be exposed and no one would see it because it was behind a shelf. All the while trying to sell me on doing other jobs around my house. He talks very sweetly on the phone but did such a terrible job. Would never recommend and will never call again. I don't know how this man has such high reviews on Facebook and Thumbtack.

I even gave my number to him on Yelp, and he neglected to reach out to me directly until he was "on his way". He said he would contact me after thw first few jobs he had, and I said it was okay, but he gave not time frame at all for a call or visit, so of course when he called to say he was done with his other job and could be on the way, I was not available to take the call. I sent him a message to ask if he schedules appointments or could give a window to expect his arrival, but as before, no response to my message. I honestly cannot say whether his work is good, but I can say the way he operates is not conducive to getting things done in a way that most customers are accustomed to. Without consistent communication or setting up times for service, it was neay impossible to accomplish working with him. I wish the best of luck, but the experience was not organized or professional.
