Ever since you moved, this channel has gone down big time. Typical corporate take over and revamping a perfectly good news channel that has ended up being terrible. Your audio is pathetic, missing half the story until someone catches on. Live on air interviews get cut off due to being the top of the hour, cutting to introduction. You constantly change staff and replace with people that have no experience. I doubt that anything will change as we all know Bell doesn't give a crap! The most beautiful thing happened to me today. I am someone in a wheel chair and was shopping at my local Shoppers...my hands full of grocery. I could not carry anymore. So in the distance I called out to a women also shopping to help me get some juice. A very nice lady said yes, then proceeded to ask if I needed further help with my grocery shopping? Little did I know it was the beautiful Dana Of CP24!!! She is beautiful inside and out! I did not expect such a kind act from the beautiful let alone sone one famous. She was kindly and generous and helped me to the self check out and helped me there too. In this hardened society it is up lifting to find beautiful people can have such compassion on the lowly. CP24 all news cable channel is free during covid 19 on the internet so I have been watching it and it is very good except for the non stop irritating commercials for Russell Oliver Jewelry and Harold the Mortgage Lender. It seems like every 5 minutes these 2 loons are yapping. Bell Media the owner of this station must be desperate for $$ and scraping the bottom of the toilet to get these advertisers. CP24 seems like a default channel at a lot of local businesses if they have their televisions on. Great if you want to know anything or everything that happens around Toronto. Weather, Traffic, News, Alerts, Stocks, Sports... You are always up to date. However, for some that want to chill out.. It is just way too much instant information.. as I can only watch that for 15 minutes.. and then I just tuned myself out... Maybe it is great if I go out with my friend who has nothing to say to me.. and he just pretending he is watching CP24. Sadly CP24 maybe more interesting than me! read more

There was over 10,000 people marching on Toronto streets today protesting the draconian measures the government has taken to lock down our society. Perhaps the biggest story of our time. CP 24 is a very good news media. I have noticed that there are grammar errors and they are not corrected. There are also spelling errors , for example Rushdie, on CP24 it says Rushie. The name escapes me at present, but have you you ever watched that twenty-four hour cable news station from Atlanta? It's got that Wolfman dude, and that silver-haired Ken doll closet-case, and that room with the situation in it? I think it begins with an F? Anyway, international billion dollar news empire or not, even THEY have trouble procuring and airing a day's worth of interesting and worthwhile programming. And while we certainly are an arrogant bunch here in the teedot, facts are facts: there is not enough happening in Toronto to justify a 24-hour news station. Man-on-the-street gripes about rising gas prices don't count. Nor do we ever need to know about anything happening inside a mall. Kids are singing at Sherway Gardens? Who gives a shit. Lottery numbers also don't strike me as 'newsworthy.' And while commuters may appreciate the near-constant traffic information, who needs this many weather updates? Possibly birds, but every other species? We can wait. I guess I'm not so much upset that CP24 exists -- it's actually pretty useful at times -- but I do take umbrage with establishments that elect to blare this information parade from the televisions in their pub, or coffeeshop, or shisha bar, or resto-lounge, nail salon, dry cleaner, fertility clinic, whatever. I will say it loud and say it proud: I LOVE CP24. It's true that when I moved to Toronto I held a certain amount of disdain for 'that cheap looking news channel that's always on in the subway and the chipper.' HOWEVER, I have since discovered that CP24 is good for more than just up-to-the-minute weather and traffic reports. CP24 is also the world's best hangover cure. You may scoff, but it's true. I don't know if it's the chirpy weather updates, the news reports about lemonade stands getting served cease and desist orders, or what, but damn, CP24 is better than any 'fizzy-make-feel-better' I can find! Screw seltzer -- sit me down with a cup of tea, a fried egg sandwich (toasted, of course), some ketchup and CP24 with the volume on low and I will lose roughly four hours of my day in recovery mode. CP24 is usually reserved for my hangover days but I will confess that on Saturday morning (no hangover on this particular occasion), my boyfriend delivered to me a cup of tea and, brandishing the remote, asked, "Does honey want her CP24?" I've been sending in my son's picture and shoutouts for the past decade. Not once has it ever been placed on TV during the "milestone birthdays" segments! When I questioned them, they tried to make up some excuses saying they need the request months ahead of time seeing they get a lot of them on a daily basis. I then let them know that I've been trying for the past decade now, months weeks AND days before the big day and nothing has gone through to make it on live TV. They didn't even bother to reply to my initial email for WEEKS until I had emailed back mentioning I would put this horrible treatment on social media, then they had decided to respond back immediately which I found to be absurd. I let them know that it was just sad that they FINALLY decided to reply to me only when I brought up social media and that they had ruined my son's "champagne (15th) birthday" which he was really looking forward to finally making the big screen. They did not care or sympathize with me nor apologize about this matter. Horrible news station which we unfortunately have to claim as ours own being born and raised in this city.
