I can't put into words how wonderful this place is. We stayed in the sky two bedroom two bathroom. It was so beautiful and so comfortable. The view from the back patio was breathtaking! The breakfast was wonderful. Jamie, the hostess And the daughter of the owners, has to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. She recommended a great restaurant to us where she goes for her birthday and we went the last night we were there and it was lovely. We met her mom the morning before we left, Jen, who was just as lovely as her daughter. We were made to feel so welcome, more like family or personal friends than just "customers" We do plan on coming back and staying again. I can't think of anything that was lacking. I've stayed here twice now - once by myself in the Vortex room and another time with my partner in one of the bottom floor rooms. Both times were lovely! The location is perfect with easy access, beautiful view of Bell Rock, and away from busy traffic. The rooms are indeed very cozy and have very thoughtful touches to them. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and some snackies to take with us on our hike. The property is very clean with chill decor and a wonderful backyard area where you walk out & hike right from there. They breakfast provided is ok, but I did miss how on my first visit a few years ago, it was homemade yogurt and pastries. Now they have more of quick bites for breakfast. But the host is there too and she was friendly. I love that it's adults only too! :D read more

Loved our 3 night stay in the Desert Rendezvous room. Our room had a private entrance and parking up front. Breakfast was perfect- lemony yogurt, granola, fruit and muffins for continental breakfast and sausage and stuffed bread pudding for hot breakfast. The view from the patio was amazing for a nice cup of coffee/breakfast and a sunset happy hour. We did a number of hikes, ate at great restaurants, did a Jeep tour while in Sedona. While the Cozy Cactus is a 15 min drive from uptown Sedona, we didn't mind the scenic drive to get to the nice restaurants. Friendly hosts that provided tips and helped make our trip amazing! Can't recommend this place enough. Maybe next time we come to Sedona, we will rent the other rooms that has the beautiful views out back. read more

This is my 12th time at the Cozy Cactus and it never disappoints. This time I was so excited to stay in the new Court House room (house). It was absolutely perfect. It has lots of natural dreamy light and the most epic view. Every room has Bell Rock in the mix. I did some light cooking and enjoyed my spacious room to relax and slow down. This was the nicest room I have stayed at CC. I felt spoiled. I noticed lots of upgrades on the property. I loved the new landscape and the nice and airy common room. Which felt so expansive. Feels like a retreat for my body being on that property. I did my usual hike 2x day literally steps away from my room. This place truly has it all. This is my home away from home. Truly an amazing stay over at Cozy Cactus B&B. Where do I start? It felt like staying in my own home. I could not have asked for anything better. My room here was upgraded to cowboy hideaway. I loved this room because it was on the ground floor and I had an easy access to the backyard and the view of course was stunning. The room was beyond cozy and the decor was so appropriate. The room also was spotless clean with full kitchen and amazing bathroom amenities. You also get your very own parking spot, which is a huge plus for me. I also enjoyed my continental breakfast with delicious homemade muffin every morning. People here of course are the best part of entire hideaway. Mark was waiting for me with Tequila for meet and greet before I arrived. Later I also met Elaine and they both are the kindest people who will welcome you as their own family. The Cozy Cactus has become our go to place to stay in Sedona. For years we paid the outrageous prices to be right smack in the middle of the tourist area. Last year I searched for an alternative place to stay and found Cozy. The suites are all comfortable, well-appointed and immaculate. Mark and his crew bend over backwards to make your stay problem-free. Open the back door to your living room and you are looking right at Bell Rock. We've been back four times in the last 16 months and will not stay anyplace else. I joke that we come back because Cindy likes the yogurt Mark serves every morning. Come to think of it, that's not a bad reason. FYI - High speed internet works fine. Big screen TV in every room. 20 minute on the most scenic highway in Arizona if you really need to see tourists and t-shirt shops. read more

The Cozy Cactus is a secluded, yet convenient, inn that served as our base for Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. Well appointed rooms with a charming and whimsy southwest decor, stunning vistas from the quiet, large and beautiful patios from which we enjoyed breakfast, and a delicious and ample morning meal with the best coffee anywhere (included with the room) only partially describe the Cozy Cactus. What truly sets this inn apart is the warmth and genuine welcome from Mark and Elaine who were there every day to make and serve breakfast and help us in any way they could so that our visit to the Cozy Cactus and the Sedona/Oak Creek area was the best! We met many repeat quests, which serves as a testament to the inn's warmth, service and hospitality. Elaine was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us in advance of our visit and Mark offered much appreciated advice on hiking trails in the area. Our reservation confirmation included recommended area restaurants as well as a request to let them know of any food allergies, restrictions, etc.... Our room had great Sedona/Oak Creek trail book that we kept with us in the car during our stay. Parking passes were also provided so we didn't have to pay for parking at the trailheads. You could even access some trails from the property! Nice little extras that I'm certain are quite unique to the Cozy Cactus. As far as COVID is concerned, nothing to worry about at the inn. I was more than comfortable with the precautions Mark and Elaine have taken to ensure a safe environment! No question about it, I will certainly return to the Cozy Cactus! read more

Hands down an AWESOME bed and breakfast! The location is great as it's a couple miles south of downtown Sedona in the town of Oak Creek, and has priceless views from the long patio which we spent most of our time at when we were there. It has a cozy quaint Adobe southwest style inside the suite we stayed in. Everything we could think of we had already in our room, and even things we didn't think we needed were available from Mark. From borrowing coolers, to movies and even sunscreen, it was a great experience. When we arrived, Mark greeted us and showed us the property and then gave us a tour of our room and explained how breakfast would work the next day. Each room comes with the Sedona guidebook and parking pass which we took with us as we explored Sedona, it was a really nice touch. We stayed in the Cowboy King suite and it came with a little kitchen dining table and a living space with TV. The kitchen doesn't have a stove but it has a full size fridge and freezer and all the other kitchen appliances. There is a common area grill that is available and was well maintained with all the tools you would need. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast with Mark and Eliane. We are foodies and the food did not disappoint! We had delicious coffee and choice of juice with breakfast followed by a three course breakfast each day. Would come back just for the food!! Mark and Elaine have thought of everything you could need in a bed and breakfast, and will go the extra mile to make sure you have a special and memorable trip! From the great living space they provide to the huge patio with multiple sitting areas and multiple fire pits, and easy access to hikes right outside your door....we will def be returning! My husband and I have never visited Sedona so were full of questions and Mark (co-owner, host, breakfast master and muffin czar) was full of honest answers. The rooms were clean, well thought through and full of amenities you didn't even know you needed (guide books, Red Rock passes, tea, coffee, microwave popcorn, etc). And the view... the best place for your morning coffee or wine at the end of a long hike. What impressed me most was that all the other people staying at the Cozy Cactus were return guests. Once you stay at the Cozy Cactus, you will not like staying anyplace else in Sedona! Mark and Elaine are top notch hosts - we received a quick tour of the place, outside, inside, fire pits, shared "open room" where they keep the coffee and tea and some chocolates... We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite and could not be happier!! Beds were comfy and sheets were soft. Came with a small kitchenette and refrigerator. Breakfast is included every AM, you get 3 choices to pick from. Perfect! Coffee is brewed every morning super early. Once we checked in, we felt right at home, like we were staying with family in a "guest house". It is quant and charming and has a more "home" feel to it. Is it the Enchantmnet Resort? No. Is it the Hilton or Howard Johnson where they don't care about you at all? No. Is it some uber expensive boutique hotel in a crappy part of town? No. Is it a perfect combination of a quiet B&B with a personal touch in a great location? Yes. Worth every penny. There are gorgeous trails for hikes right out your back door. The location is at the end of town, which gave us more peace and quiet and less traffic. We had a great time, staff is super friendly esp Mark, made our stay very special. We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cactus. It was perfectly situated outside of the hectic Sedona downtown and backing up to simply gorgeous park land and hiking trails. Cozy Cactus Review: One of the best vacation stays ever! The Cozy Cactus gets my absolute highest possible recommendation!!! It's location is absolutely stunning, with the natural setting beginning where the backyard leaves off. Looking out the large back windows are spectacular views of bell rock, courthouse rock and cathedral rock formations. There are numerous hiking trails which begin at the gate in the backyard and mountain biking is almost as ubiquitous as hiking with a bike shop across the street. The trails range from easy to scary for those who are adventurous. There are numerous special restaurants nearby in Oak Creek Village and many more in uptown Sedona. We spent much of our time hiking but did partake of a great jeep tour that took us to more remote canyon sites. The tour provided us with a constant stream of information by our jeep tour guide on everything from the Hollywood films made in various locations around Sedona to the geology of the rock formations to the flora and fauna and how the indigenous people used the plants. We stayed in the Courthouse unit, which had two large bedrooms with bathrooms, one with the tub/shower and the other with a ceiling and two wall showerheads. There is a loft with a balcony that offers a wonderful relaxing space just to hang out and enjoy the light playing off the rock formations. The unit is decorated in the most charming way with artistic touches all around, making it truly a cozy environment Everything felt fresh and clean with plenty of modern touches such as USB charging outlets on the night tables, flat screen TVs mounted in the bedrooms, the game/main sitting room, and in the loft and high bandwidth wifi everywhere. The kitchen is professional grade with top-notch stove/oven, microwave, separate refrigerator and freezer. There are so many surprising accommodations to make the stay extra special, such as a fire pit just out the back door, snack jars with trail mix in the kitchen and loft, everything one might need in the bathrooms not to mention a laundry room with washer and dryer. Breakfasts are a delicious adventure with exceptionally tasty muffins fresh and different every morning, and OJ along with a local concoction of juices. Other treats include yogurt with granola made in house, fresh fruits, and different special dishes such as tacos with ham and eggs, bread pudding, Mexican flavored omelets, sausages and more. Breakfasts were served in the common area along the back of the space with a view of the rock formations and with a chorus from birds including families of quail running among the cactuses along the back of the property. It was an enjoyable space where we met many of the other guests and shared tips on good places to hike or shop. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Mark who oversees everything is a fellow Steelers fan and has a corner filled with awesome memorabilia which captured my attention. Heather, Elaine and Mirtha were attentive to all our needs and went above and beyond helping with difficult arrangements for local travel, restaurants, hiking advice, and ensuring our unit had everything we could wish for. We just got Engaged here!! I had been to the Cozy Cactus in 2022 with my girlfriend and we fell in love with the walking path out back of the bedroom. When I knew I wanted a beautiful landscape for the proposal this bed and breakfast came to my mind. I reached out to the staff and Mark and Heather surpassed all expectations. My husband and I spent a blissful eight days here in June. The Vortex Vista Suite has the classic Sedona Red Rock view to die for and was very cozy. A helpful hiking guide and Coconino National Forest pass made hiking easy--there are fantastic hiking trails out the door and further afield. The proprietor and staff were very friendly and helpful. Frist time in Sedona. My friend wanted to FEEL the Vortex energy. We arrived in dark driving 5 hours from Vegas. When sun came up a red light reflecting Bell Rock stands directly in front of us! The property is on the national park line. Two bedrooms have two bathrooms. Spacious living room with kitchen and dining room. All Mexican style interior with American convenience. I wish I could have been here with my family not my friend. I wish it should have been a week long not 2 nights and 3 days. Clean, convenience, and location! The Cozy Cactus was such a delight. A friend recommend this spot, and it did not disappoint. Mark made the most delicious muffins and fruit and yogurt parfaits every morning, I told him he should add Parfait Czar to his calling card. Heather was so kind and inviting. The care and comfort they brought made the weekend enjoyable and stress free. Stunning views, the rooms were big, bed was great, shower worked well. They also let us use a parking pass so we could explore all the local hiking spots easily. Summary-great location but I'd stay elsewhere next time Scheduling-We intended to arrive around 5PM and told the host that via email. Happily, we made good time and were set to arrive at 4. I tried calling the host several times but due to the phone service we never fully connected. The long and the short of it is, when we got there no one was there to greet us. I tried calling several times again from the B&B but finally decided to just do some shopping until after 5. When we got there after 5 the owner had returned and seemed to blame us for the problem. To me, arriving an hour early during normal business hours, especially when we had been driving all day, should be good enough for the owner to have someone greet us. I've never had to hit such a narrow window for check in without some accommodation made. Room-heavy musty odor. Smells like mothballs. Good size, and includes what you need in kitchen, bath, etc. TV with movies available in common area Outside-has some chairs with great mountain views. Also a grill for cooking out. The fire pit was kind of cheesy, being only fueled via a small propane tank, but still gave some warmth. A hot tub would have been a nice touch. Breakfast-freshly prepared, but more sweets than anything else. Location-right on trails that lead to the mountains and mesas. Excellent! FYI-I left a pair of pants there and was charged $25 for their return to me. Seems excessive, but the owner said that was the standard charge. read more

This was a great find for our 10th anniversary trip. Carrie, Mark, Sara, & Tequila are wonderful hosts. They are great resources for finding things to do and places to eat in the area. Of course the view can't be beat. We stayed in the Vortex Vista room and had stunning views of the red rocks. Breakfast is consistently amazing. They are very accommodating to any dietary needs you may have. They have a great amount of items you can use for hiking in the area. We borrowed trekking poles for a quick morning hike to Bell Rock. You can reach the trails just out the back of the property. You get to see all sorts of wildlife if you sit out on the patio. We saw rabbits, a family of quail, hummingbirds, and much more. I don't know when we will make it back to Sedona, but we will be staying at The Cozy Cactus when we do. read more

Our two-day stay in the second story "Vortex Vista Suite" was spectacular. We wish we could have stayed longer! The tastefully appointed suite had all the amenities and the spacious balcony gave us a beautiful view to the north of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. And you can hike straight from there to see the amazing red rocks without having to worry about parking. The location is great for hiking right out the back gate and avoiding having to find a parking spot at the local trailheads. Just returned from staying at Cozy Cactus Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights and it was wonderful! A home away from home! We stayed at the Vortex Room and the room was elegantly decorated, warm and inviting, COMFORTABLE, clean and everything that is listed on the website is there and much more. Mark and Carrie, the owners of this beautiful property were so friendly, charming and great hosts! You couldn't ask for a better location for Sedona area - near shops, restaurants and trails; and, the views were amazing! The property itself is beautiful - the back yard is so comfortable and they decorated it match the natural birds and animals that gently stop by to drink from the birdhouses or drinking plates on the ground. Mark and Carrie accept all who visit, from the many different people that stay with them to the small creatures that come to visit the backyard. Every part of the stay was enjoyable and the service was generous - I want to point out that Mark and Carrie went out of there way to rearrange a breakfast time for us when we told them that we couldn't make one of the 830 am breakfast time. Carrie, without hesitation, asked the others that were staying there if it was okay to change breakfast time half-hour earlier! We would give 10 stars if we could :) It was our first time in Sedona, and we could not have made a better choice than staying with Mark and Carrie at the Cozy Cactus B&B. They are two of the warmest people you will ever meet, have absolutely thought of everything to make you feel welcome (from popcorn and "cozy snax" in your room, to ponchos, coolers, Red Rock pass, etc. for use during your stay), and always have plenty of amazing suggestions regarding things to do (and eat!) in the area. We stayed in the Vortex Vista room upstairs, which showcases stunning views of Courthouse Butte and Bell Rock. There's nothing quite like waking up to the sun lighting up the red rocks, just outside your window. We started each day with an amazing 3-course breakfast starring muffins from Mark the Muffin Czar, a refreshing fruit course, and a savory or sweet breakfast entree from Carrie. The "Take out Tuesday" continental breakfast (consisting of yummy bran muffins, fruit parfait with homemade granola, and juice) was perfect for our early AM departure and was packaged/delivered with care the evening before. Words cannot adequately express how much we will miss the evenings spent lounging by the firepit, trying to spot the quail amidst the dozens of different little birds from our balcony, listening for the snuffling grunts from the javelina that come out at night, and of course, our charming hosts and Tequila!
