I purchased a 1972 Camaro in Nov 2025 and walked thru each step in the process. There were 3 items on the car that we agreed would be fixed upon delivery. When I finally received the car in late December, NONE of the 3 items had been fixed satisfactorily. This car has been in the shop more than I've been able to drive it. If interested in a vehicle here, do your research. They have a 55 Pontiac Chieftain that they are asking a few dollars under 95k for. They told me they would let it go for 86k. I did some research and found a video on youtube where they bought the car, just three months before, in PA, for 50k. The car is the same now as when they bought it so not like there was money put into it to justify the price tag. I wrote an email to them mentioning my research and did receive a reply but no mention of working with me on price. BUYER BEWARE! have 2 friends who dealt with Coyote Classics and they don't lie to your face , but they are not straight forward with the truth either. They are currently trying to sell an SS Chevelle tribute as a real SS and never came out and said it's a Malibu. ano friend purchased a C3 Corvette with a severely corroded birdcage the whole time advertising "no rust" that they are aware of. They don't lie, but take advantage of your unfamiliarity, so just beware they are truly "used car salesmen". The vehicle that I bought looked better on the video than in person on delivery, several items not addressed on the work order that the tech noted and the car was not detailed, had over spray all over the body. I contacted them and was sent a check to cover those cost and for miss communication on there part. I drove the vehicle for about ten miles and since the day I received the car it ran rough. Upon further investigation I found that the cam and lifters were wiped out and this was supposed to be a 45000 mile engine. I have contacted Coyote Classics several times and they have not responded to this issue that was there before I received the car. So at my own expense if I want this dead car in my garage to move again, I will have to pay for it. Dealing with Coyote was no deal for me. If you don't go see the car that you want to buy, your taking a big chance on it costing you much more that you planed on. read more

My mistake of calling the company and talking several times about a certain car I was interested in and of course they are salesmen and do not tell the truth. I should have flown there and checked it out myself with my mechanic. I paid over 50K for a 68 Camaro that was actually worth 25K. They were not truthful about anything, the videos they send you and pictures are doctored. These people are salesmens, not classic car enthusiest. After I recevied the car, I had to spend another 17K just to make the car run correctly. Suspension bad, motor knocking, you name it. Please, I advise that you go to this company and test drive yourself. I'll never buy online and believe words of a salesman from their company. read more

Don't get sucked into buying anything from them just by watching their videos. Never, ever buy a large ticket item sight unseen--you're an idiot if you do. I carry that badge of shame. When I received the car it was pretty obvious that it wasn't worth close to what I paid for it. I don't even think the car had a tuneup since 1965. I just dished out another $1000 to repair an issue with the clutch assembly. I asked the mechanic what he thought the car was worth and he was shocked that I had paid that much for the car. (LOL, he actually turned red.) This was an emotional buy (big mistake) my mother passed away last year and my brother had a stroke. Early this year I found out my cousin's cancer had returned and mostly likely won't make it. Then several months ago I found out a good friend of mine I've know for 30 years has brain cancer. So me just turning 65, thought screw it, I'm going recapture part of my youth (owned a '69 Chevelle SS396 when I was in my 20's.) I came across their videos and I was sucked in. It's simple folks, DON'T BUY from anyone selling over the internet unless you can see it and drive it. You will get screwed. read more

Coyote Classics did a great job getting me into the 1967 Pontiac LeMans that I now own. My internet sales rep Dave was very diligent and conscientious. The owner Chad was attentive and down to earth. The office staff made me feel very comfortable. When I actually met everyone in person my observations were confirmed. As far as I'm concerned, no one does internet sales better than Coyote Classics. Dave in sales handled my purchase. Chad Austin the owner, called me once I had picked out a car. There was no pressure, no money on the table, just a sincere "Hello and Welcome". However, halfway through I changed my mind when another car on their lot caught my attention, which I ultimately purchased. There was no friction at all. Coyote owns their classic cars. No consignments, no "I will talk to the owner and get back to you". Believe me, I had a lot of questions for Dave, including speaking with the previous owner (which I did). I had the car appraised and it produced a few new items that they took care of. The deal was done when owner Chad called me and said they detected low oil pressure and would fix it. It required taking the engine out to repair it, with no additional charges. While the engine was out, they even painted it, WOW! Now it was time to drive 650 (1300 round trip) miles from Ohio to Greene, Iowa to 'kick the tires" and test drive. The test drive itself was a lot of fun. I met Brant, their mechanic who took the time to put the car on a lift. Brant pointed out why he agrees with the appraiser that my 1967 Pontiac LeMans is mechanically and structurally sound. bought a 62 Buick several years back and I knew better to buy it without looking at it first but went against my better judgement. When the car arrived it was rougher than the pics showed. The car was full of expandable foam and was not mechanically sound. The tires were very old and weather rotted, rear end and carrier bearing was bad and growled very loud. brakes leaked and i could go on. I ended up selling the car because it was so disappointing and took a huge loss. Never ever take another persons word and go see it for yourself.. That goes for any classic car dealer.. Do not buy a car unless you go there and see it in person. This place is just another "used car dealer" that will misrepresent their cars. I sold the car and lost over $5000 and had friends laugh at me for buying such garbage. The Chevelle I bought was previously totaled and put on a Buick chassis and I found out from the original owner after selling the car. The original owner that tracked me down looking for his old Chevelle wanted it back and I found out it went to auction and it was never titled since. I went to MV in Georgia and they said the car was never registered since I owned it. read more

The response I received from the dealership "coyote classics" did not allow me to respond back to them. Justine did answer which is great but the response was half full!! I received a phone call from her and i did respond immediately by email that all communications would have to be through email to keep records to protect both parties! I believe that was fair but she never responded!! Yes, we did come to a $1000 reimbursement agreement shortly after purchase which I was taking a 70 percent hit on the repair amounts that were requested by the mechanic. Unfortunately after attempting to order the parts from 4 different distributors, the parts were not available and the repair was 3 times the amount ($6300)!!! A whole new rear end had to be installed!!! The Yelp rating for this company is 2.4 stars. That sums it all up!! Wish I would have seen it before trusting them!! They love to "puff up" the conditions of their crummy cars!!! Everyone I talk to and every website that talks about classic cars I leave a negative review about Cayote Classics!!!! At least they've earned that!!!! I have gotten plenty of feedback from potential Coyote Classic buyers thanking me for helping avoid them and their dirty online sales tactics!! Wish I would have read the reviews before I bought. I made the big online mistake when I purchased my 1965 Plymouth Satellite from this dealership. I trusted the video, pictures and the salesman so I bought my car without personally going to Iowa and inspecting the car. When the car arrived, I took the driver to his truck. There was a terrible vibration in the engine. I said what the he!! is that. The driver said I don't know, it didn't do that when I loaded it. Well the story begins. I did a lot of inspecting of the car. I found the engine was misfiring on two cylinders. H ad two plug wires that had gotten against the headers. Replaced them and the engine still vibrated. I contacted a transmission shop and they said it had a un-balanced torque converter. A friend looked at the engine and said it had the wrong harmonic balancer. I also found the steering gear had a lot of slack in it. I took the car to the shop to have the steering gear and torque converter replaced. They found the rear main seal was leaking very badly. They said the vibration caused the seal to start leaking so the pan had to be removed to replace the seal, After all that I still have the vibration. Its going back to the shop. On to the next problem. The car was not charging so I took the altenator to NAPA and they said it was bad. The brush holder had melted. So I had to buy a new altenator. They said the car had a classic am/fm radio and it did. However, there were no speakers in the car. The drivers floor had been replaced and not replaced properly. It left the seat to close to the steering wheel. Had to buy a smaller steering wheel. Heater controls are bad. The salesman said they could not find one so I said I would look at it. There were several on the internet but are expensive. They said they could put in a classic air unit at the tune of $3000. There were no horns at all on the car. The foot feed cable was broken so it was hard to push. There was no kick down cable for the transmission. Gas gage was not working. Just unplugged at the tank. Its working but is not accurate. The carburator was running way to rich. Could not adjust. Smelled gas fumes all the time. I think you get the message. I have owned this "POS" since February and have put 13 miles on it. The moral of this story is "do not trust the salesman or the dealership". Worst buying experience ever. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment in this business.  I was very excited to pick up the 1972 Chevelle after purchasing it online.  The sales associate, Clint, had misrepresented the car to me on the phone and in photos.  I should have known something was wrong when he was not at the showroom for delivery when I arrived to pick up the car. The other sales associate, Mike, showed me the car before he put it on the trailer.  He told me when Clint said there was no rust, he meant through the floor.  Once I got the car home, I had it checked out by four different people.  All of them told me the car needed paint, bodywork, and that it was not a real SS, nor did it have a 12 bolt posi rear, and one of the cylinders was not firing.  While the rear quarter panels were replaced, they were not installed correctly, and the doors were not hanging in line with the rest of the car. All in all, had they been honest about this particular car, I would have just bought another one.  I also would have had the paint and bodywork done.  After returning the car, I drove away feeling completely taken, I realized once again, Clint was not at the showroom (hopefully embarrassed). If you want to purchase a classic car, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.  Spending money at Coyote Classics will prove to be a disappointing experience from beginning to end. read more

I had a great experience with this company. I bought a 1965 Mustang Convertible from them. I watched a 12 minute video that was very specific and showed every blemish. I took a chance and did not send an inspector because I wanted the car and didn't want to take a chance of losing it. There were a couple of things in the video that concerned me and they offered to fix them at no cost. When I got the car, it looked even better than what I expected. I wanted a nice looking driver at an affordable price and that's exactly what I got. read more

They had a nice selection of other cars including a 56 Oldsmobile that I ended up purchasing instead. All of the original documents regarding the car were available. I recently purchased a 1967 Buick Skylark from Coyote Classics. It is an amazing car. Drives great and looks great! I personally drove up to Greene, Iowa to inspect the car, and was treated like family by the entire Coyote Classics crew. They took the time to answer all of my questions and walk me through the entire process. About a week later the car was delivered. I took it to another classic car dealer and had their mechanics inspect it. They affirmed everything Coyote Classics told me. It's a solid car, a great investment, etc. I have since put new tires and wheels on the Buick, and have had some very minor work done (replacing the glass packs, etc.). Clint, the head coyote, even offered to have glass packs sent to me. I've been repeatedly told - by other classic car dealers and mechanics - that they would have asked $8k to $10K more for this car if it had been in their showroom. I have nothing but good things to say about Coyote Classics and would recommend them to anybody interested in a classic car. read more

I should have known better. It seemed to be to good to be true. IT WAS!! I traded a 1953 Chevy pickup that only needed painting and a little interior work ( and $10,000 ) for a 1939 Chevy Coupe that was supposed to be road ready, even could drive the 300 miles I came. When I drove it the engine seemed to not have much power for a built 350 engine, But, I was excited and figured they had just tuned it up ( their words ) I put it on a trailer and brought it home. My first drive was a disaster. It was all over the road. When I Checked, the tow-in tow-out was off by 1 complete inch. I fixed that and it drove better but seemed to be missing, upon checking, 4 of the valve rockers were turned sideways, the push rods for cylinders 2 and 3 were off to the side and the lifters ( hydraulic not solid as I was told ) were laying inside the engine. After I got all this fixed, the engine only had 1 miss. it was the number 8 spark plug. It was bad. ( Just tuned up with new plugs ). As I checked more the slave cylinder for the clutch was put in backwards, the Interior was not screwed in and if I fill the gas tank it smells like gas in the car until it is 1/2 full. I was taken to the cleaners. I would NEVER recommend this Classic Car Dealer to even an enemy. This was the second time I have bought from the internet sight unseen, FIRST AND LAST!! Bought a 1970 Mustang from them. To put it simple they totally shot me in the foot. Couldn't go out to see the car so I had to take their "word" and the pictures they had. I'm 18 years old, finally saved up enough money to buy my dream car, and they send me such a piece of junk that was so rusted out it couldn't even be aligned correctly. I had a wonderful experience with Coyote Classics. I purchased a 1973 Roadrunner and they delivered it to my house. I live in Wisconsin so this would have been a very long day trip or 2 days at most for me to pick it up. They were most accommodating on working with me on all the paperwork and title transfers between the two states. The people that are complaining about their purchases should have actually went to look at their cars before purchasing. I did that so I knew what I was getting. Who spends thousands of dollars on anything sight unseen? There was some minor tuneup issues with the car but with lot of original equipment on the car you would expect that. Everyone should inspect these cars before buying them, then they wouldn't have to act like they were ripped off. read more

I can only write to warn other potential classic car purchaser's. I spent 6 months talking to this company over the phone. I was in Iraq at the time and couldn't verify anything they said except with pictures. I was promised a true 69 SS and was given a clone with 4 flats. head gasket needed repair , water pump damaged, no A/C, or power steering. They lied about everything. Please dont use them. I feel compelled to share my experience regarding a Camaro I bought from Coyote Classics and say buyer beware. While dealing with this company was pleasant for the most part I would say that the condition of the vehicle was not represented well at all. There's only so much you can see in a video or pictures and as a result I've been on the hook for thousands of dollars of repairs for a car I was able to drive approx. 20 miles before things went sideways. I called Chad and while he offered to pay for a very small amount of the cost, and offer up lots of excuses, it really didn't fix my experience with them. If you are thinking of buying a car from them do yourself and your wallet a favor and have it inspected professionally, this may cost you $500 but it'll be well worth it, I didn't and am paying for it. Chad and the folks at Coyote Classics are used car salesmen and it's important you keep that in mind. Next time around I will look elsewhere. read more
