I'm surprised anyone is giving less than 5 stars. Very creamy ice cream. Great flavor selection. I found the staff to be friendly, the line wasn't too long. Once we found this place we went everyday the rest of our trip. read more

This cow obsessed ice cream parlor is a must visit if you are in Charlottetown. So far this is the best Ice cream I have had in my life - very creamy and flavorful with unique flavors. I have tried their caramel moochiato, gooey mooey, mango sorbet, moo crunch, strawberry sorbet, wowie cowie ( and probably 2-3 more flavors). While all of them are absolutely delicious, I would suggest choosing the ice creams over the sorbets. My favorites are the gooey mooey and the wowie cowie. read more

Truly great ice cream. I tried the wowie cowie, which was delicious. They also give free samples so take advantage! High on milkfat = high flavor. Service is also real friendly. The cow parody items are cute too. MooTube? Justin Beefer? Clever. They are available online as well, definitely worth checking out. read more

This ice cream is soooo creamy! It's super fresh and smooth tasting. I personally am picky about ice cream. I rarely ever eat ice cream from a carton in the grocery store, that's how picky! I judged this place by its chocolate and vanilla flavors. To me all ice cream should be judged by its most basic flavor options to know if it's really good. These flavors were spot on! You don't need anything extra when you have a perfect scoop of creamy chocolate. We also tried the Fluff and Utter and moosie-something (forgot the name). Fluff and Utter was chocolate ice cream with marshmallow fluff and peanut butter cups. The other was cheesecake ice cream with Oreos and chocolate syrup. These were good but less impressive. They tasted great!! However they didn't really taste much like their mix ins. I barely noticed the marshmallow in one, and couldn't taste the cheesecake flavor in the cheesecake ice cream. It was probably more like vanilla ice cream. These ice creams still tasted great, we ate every bite, but what's 5-star worthy here is how creamy and perfect their basics are. The idea of having more "creative" stuff I think can turn too gimmicky and takes away from the quality anyway. If we come to PEI again, we will definitely stop for Cows ice cream! read more

I don't usually go out and buy ice cream from a shop except when I'm on vacation. I couldn't resist having some from COWS. I first saw a COWS a few years ago in Halifax and also went to the one in Banff but had never tried their ice cream. This time I couldn't resist on a lovely evening in Charlottetown. The smell of the fresh waffle cones draw people to the shop. There were about 25-30 flavours and I chose the mint oreo in a cup. It was delicious and not too rich. I wished I could have a cone the next day but was too full from my dinner. I'm glad they don't have a COWS in Edmonton because I wouldn't be able to resist! This is the best ice cream I've ever had! read more

Day 20/30: 30-day yelp challenge I love Cows! Being from out west, my first introduction to it was in Banff. Great ice cream and funny t-shirts that capture the trends of the moment. I think they do a cute parody of current pop culture... in stock today are things like MooMooLemon, MooTube, Fifty Shades of Hay, Moodern Cowfare, etc... Their ice cream is great - fresh ingredients made with real cream and milkfat and a nice variety of flavors. Loved the chocolate cheesecake and the burnt sugar flavors... came in twice this trip since it's so good! You can choose from regular waffle cones or dipped cones and the number of scoops you want. Starts at just under $4 for a single scoop + plain waffle cone and goes up from there. I've never had bad ice cream from Cows and it's nice to have it in its PEI hometown. read more

first time visit ~ in March , so not a big selection of flavors, I had pei strawberry with chocolate cone. The ice cream was Devine !!! So creamy , not too sweet and had strawberry bits ! However the down side is the cone, not that tasty, should have ordered in a bowl! Definitely coming back in the summer !!! Better than Hagen daze ! read more

Sure, it's fantastic ice cream. Especially the Chocolate Cheesecake. But $4.50+ for a single scoop of ice cream that disappears into the depths of a cone? Wow. Believe it or not, the staff has to carefully weigh each filled cone on a scale before giving it to the customer. That's just stingy. Hey, Cows, how about you maybe relax and cool it on trying to maximize your profits by reducing serving sizes and micro-managing your staff? Oh, and I was in line at the Charlottetown wharf location when a store manager instructed an underling, rather loudly, to clean some aspect of the waffle-cone maker, pointing out that it hadn't been cleaned in over a week. So, suffice to say, I didn't get a waffle cone. This is a food review, so I shouldn't really comment the dozens of Cows t-shirts with horrible cow-related puns on them. But I'm going to. First, they are truly awful puns, and second, they walk right up to infringing on other people's copyrights. So, doubly cringey. But I guess they must sell like hotcakes, because if there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that Cows knows how to maximize profits. read more

Yummy. A great treat that's open late. I went on a Wednesday night and it was a bit before 11pm and there were tons of people there waiting for ice cream. Well, maybe more were in the gift shop but it was steady. Generally a good sign. There were so many flavors that I just didn't know which to choose and I wasn't rushed. Instead, I was asked if I wanted to sample a few.... jackpot. Ice cream is always delicious no matter what flavor it is I find but these flavors... unbelievable. They had the classics but also some inspired by local ingredients and no, I don't mean lobster and other seafood. I mean locally grown berries, and fresh local ingredients. My girlfriend and I got a strawberry flavored one and it was pretty darn creamy. Put all that on a chocolate rimmed waffle cone and you've got yourself a pretty darn good treat. The gift store part looked pretty cool with classic souvenirs as well as some with the Cows logo on it. Some might disagree but the ice cream was the main star of this place..... I barely looked at the gift shop because i was too busy being a fatty and eating my ice cream. read more

I am an absolute ice cream lover and this place is at the very top of my list! The service was quick and painless - and the ice cream is SO good! My boyfriend and I tried two different flavors and could not stop fighting over who would get the next lick! Really creamy, gooey, and full of chunks of fun stuff (ours had chocolate bits and brownie)! We can't wait to go back! read more

COWS - Delicious!! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Such a fun place to get ice-cream and buy merchandise. I love to read all the sayings on the T-shirts! Just bought two " 6 ft apart " t-shirts for my grandsons . Love it! read more

Amazing ice cream good service very busy thought. Expensive but there is lots of selections. Recommend you go there if you like ice cream. The Udderly Smooth cream is very expensive and Sobeys sell it way cheaper. Same bottle different name. Love the ice cream read more

Usually ice cream bothers me but this stuff didn't at all. It's also ranked the number one ice cream in Canada. I had 2 scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone one day and a milk shake the next. The milk shake was so so but the ice cream is all that is suggested. Highly recommended but give yourself time as the lines are massive at all locations in Halifax and PEI. read more

Incredible ice cream. Could be the best I have ever had and I love ice cream. If you have to decide between dinner and ice cream. Go straight for the ice cream. Tour - not worthwhile.. read more

It was my first time having Cow's! Had the Wowie Cowie and the Pumpkin Patch (I think it's seasonal) they were both so creamy, milky with the perfect amount of sweet. I hope they branch out to Toronto soon. Miss it already! read more

Meh. This place bills itself as the 'best ice cream in the world', and that simply isn't true. The flavours on offer are pretty par for the course, and the quality is middling. It's marginally better than big-chain parlors (Cows too, is a chain), but can't hold a candle to the gelaterias of Italy, or the smaller, high-quality shops pretty much anywhere. A large merchandise section is a cash grab, for those who want to buy heavily branded and faintly witty apparel. read more

Strawberry sorbet was very creamy, famous institution in the maritimes, lots of interesting flavours to try and a bright atmosphere!

not all staff members are nice... which is upsetting to me as ice cream shops must be friendly all the time or you do not want to return... get rid of those bad, not attentive and unkind waitresses! there are plenty of nice students around that would do better! interesting flavors. not on the same level as a good and real gelato, but still a decent job, in the Ben and Jerry category of ice cream (i.e., that are good because of the chunks they put in rather than the ice cream itself). I likely will return to try other flavors. potato chocolate chips, yes, must be tried. they are quite loaded in chocolate, as I guess less would taste weird... however, corn flakes with less chocolate (the kind of clusters) are likely providing the same but lighter combination of crunchiness and chocolate. read more

Count me as a new fan! The names like Wowie Cowie and Messie Bessie are corny, but the rich flavors are loaded with mix-ins. I'm not sure how any "pure" flavors sans add-ins are, but vanilla loaded with chocolate flakes and caramel was a winner, as was the chocolate espresso. In the summer they're open until 11pm, so you can wander out and sit on a bench enjoying the Island summer and an ice cream. read more

Yum! We loved the creative flavors they had here. My husband loved the apple pie crumble icecream (forget the name). It tasted like a whole dessert and not just a scoop of icecream. I had a coconut ice cream which also was packed with flavor. So good that we are returning for a second day in a row! read more

Definitely the best Ice Cream in the world! I tried so many flavours and all of them are fabulous and unique. The store is located in an excellent area and the staff are very nice and helpful. This is definitely worth the wait! read more

I scream, you scream....There is better ice cream! Nothing special, it's cold, it melts and pricey.......

Absolutely brilliant ice cream. I normally try to not eat sugar but caved and had a kiddie cone of coconut cream pie. It was worth it. Enjoy all the flavors and make it a point to stop in. read more

Amazing ice cream! Great service! Fun tshirts! I went when I was in Charlottetown this summer and loved it!

We love going here !! so many flavours and very rich and creamy texture. I am so glad summers is approaching.

Long waiting but taste good at least, but I found it no reason to have tips on their machine as they can't really do anything extra for you
