My name is Dylan and I completed a driving test today at this location. I'm using my wife's yelp. The instructor is not rude he's a teacher that is teaching a very serious subject. He gave me extra time before the test and explained everything he was looking for. During the test he entered "state representative mode" lol. During the test he made no extra conversation and let me perform the test. Explained to me very thoroughly what will make you fail and why it is that way. If you can handle constructive criticism and better yourself for Washington roadways no one will have an issue. read more

The worst driving teacher I've seen rude and self centered won't let you answer questions or talk he's right and your wrong don't come here unless you ready to blow your hard earned money to someone who scams for all he's got he will fail you on your first test how can you ask questions about driving under the influence to kids who have never even touched drugs and mind you it's illegal to drive under influence how can you question kids about it in a state test! Go to any other place the test are far easier to understand and don't ask ridiculous questions with no right answer save yourselves!!! read more

Cowlitz Driving School called me back regarding an inquiry I made in January 2025 to sign my child up for class. When I explained our scheduling conflict, the man copped an attitude and said, "thanks for calling me in advance" and hung up. If this is how they treat someone making an inquiry regarding driving school, I can only imagine the way the traffic school is run. After that encounter, I'm happy we are choosing to go elsewhere. I'd encourage Mr. Kaber to do some self-reflection and participate in some classes on professionalism, etiquette and customer service. read more

My daughter attended the five week course and it was very flexible in my opinion. If she missed a class for any reason she could do make ups on Friday. She could also view the class online which she had to do while she was coming back from a softball game in Vancouver. Besides the class, they also have her take her written, driving test and several behind the wheel lessons. I was very impressed with the all inclusive sessions, that included the classes, the written test, behind the wheel instruction and the opportunity to utilize the company car for her driving test in the future, I definitely recommend this place to other people. She is my fourth child I have had driving lessons for and this is definitely the most comprehensive I've run across. read more

Came in to take a drivers test scheduled ahead of time however he later prompted me after I signed the paperwork that I could not take my test as my permit says it's expired even though it was renewed until May 2024. Then further explained I needed to pay more money on top of the drivers test to take a written test. He then ended with saying it doesn't matter what your permit says. Very strict with his time, came off as rude and demanding. Did not care about his customers and blatantly insults them on minor mistakes. Don't waste your money here, do yourself that favor! Go to Drivan's, he is wonderful! No stars is not possible, otherwise it would be none. I have a theory, this place stays in business because the supply does not meet the demand here. We have been on a waitlist for 6-8 months... honestly forgot we were on it because I never received a call until that many months later. Not sure who the person was who called and left a message. I returned the call immediately to let him know we no longer needed the class, not something I needed to do but did out of courtesy, again forgot we were on any waitlist! The reponse was rude - "would have been nice to know!" And hung up on me. Mind you we were still a month out for said waitlist. Anyway, I can see from the other reviews I am not the only one. I have two other teens that will need to take driving school in a few months and I will drive to Vancouver before I spend dime here. He obvioulsly knows the people in this town dont have many choices and treats them as such. read more

Shawn was the best. 32 and did not know how to drive and he was friendly and gave me the confidence to get on the road. I didn't go through all the classes but did my permit and one on one driving lessons and final test. Would recommend them. read more

The instructor, Jerry Brush, was my child's instructor for driving. To give you the short version: He took my son to his house to pet his guinea pigs, bought him a soda, swindled his cell phone number from him (when he had called me the day earlier), took him to the river to take pictures, took him to lunch, and then on the 6th and final drive asked him if he was not doing anything on that Saturday, would he (my son) want to meet him (Jerry) for lunch. This is just a brush of what happened, nothing illegal. Just child grooming it seems to me. Seems like the license is the cookie dangling these teenagers' heads and all they want is their license at that age, so they are not going to say anything and they will follow what they are told to do and go where they are told because they are wanting their license. Not only that but how many kids don't tell their parents. I have made a police report and if this happened to you you should report it to. Talk to your children. Please, this is unacceptable behavior. Thank goodness my child is strong willed what would he have done if he wasn't? read more

I called Cowlitz Driving School to ask some questions about taking the driving test and to schedule a time for it. The person who answered the phone gave short, incomplete answers, and I tried asking again to clarify his answers. At this point he became very rude, and said, "Look, I have to go, I have a class to teach, goodbye." I started to ask if I could schedule the test, and he cut me off, saying, "I have to go, goodbye!" This was not a long conversation, it only lasted 2 to 3 minutes at most. This person does not seem to understand even the most basic rules of social or business etiquette. His rude, unprofessional behavior made it very clear that he does not want to do business with me, so I will be contacting Drivans, instead. read more

I called for information regarding taking the knowledge portion for my license and the person that answered the phone was very polite and had all the information I needed. I will definitely be taking my test there. read more
