This firm is the best! As a loan officer assistant, I can tell you I've worked with a lot of title…read morecompanies. I get mad at my loan officer when he gives deals to anyone else. Dave and Antonia answer my emails quickly, I don't have to remind them to get stuff on our closing calendar, they're so nice and easy to work with, and my loan officer is always requesting a ton from them...like "can you do a Saturday morning settlement at their home in Frederick?" Dave, who lives in NoVA, NEVER bats an eye to do it. They'll match fees to help you get the deal. They figure out tough title situations. Even as a loan officer assistant, I've had three of my own deals, one was my father in NC (so Dave could not do), my friend purchase, and now my friend's brother-in-law is refinancing with me. I sent them both to Dave. Dave is settling the brother-in-law this Friday evening at his home (because they're teachers and that was when they could meet). I felt bad and told Dave if there was another time that worked for him to just let me know, but he just responded "works great, I'll see you then." I seriously can't say enough nice things about them! Whenever something needs to be figured out, if it's with another title company, I worry...if it's with Dave, it's going to be fine. They'll handle everything. If a lock is expiring, they'll figure it out. They'll return the docs in no time. Give DB Title a try...you will not regret it! AMAZING JOB!

In two days to prepare for trial she was able to win my case. Outstanding results thanks to Rachael Hammer and Katrina Smallwood her devoted paralegal.

Whatever agency regulates or licenses this company in Virginia should review their transactions…read more We recently sold a rental house there; we live in CA so lots of phone & emails. 3 days before closing the tentative docs seemed OK and bottom line of what we expected to receive for sale was as expected (we knew there was to be another small change). After closing on July 30, 2018 we received our first email HUD-1 for signature but it showed our net was $1000 less than we expected. We reported the 'error' and over the next several days got a flurry of new docs to sign including a modified HUD-1. They had an imaginative solution that restored our $1000 - it involved us (and perhaps the buyers) resigning LOTS of docs including a new amendment to the sales contract. Have since learned the title has been successfully recorded at the court house but we won't be paid until the new docs are all returned. On the phone their personnel were polite but tended to talk about various documents like we used them everyday - and that we could instantly print, sign, scan, and email them back. We got so tired to signing & resigning docs that we lost track of what was what over the last 3 days. We just wanted it to be over. We don't own the house anymore but still hoping to get paid, 2 days since closing and counting . . . . Edit: Got paid Aug 2 (3 days after closing/settlement). Wonder how this would have worked out if we'd blindly signed first HUD-1 (like the other 30+ docs we signed) and not reported Title One's error for a week or more - guessing with all the paperwork filed that we'd have lost that $1000. For a better experience, use another title company or better yet use a lawyer - it worked for the other 10 houses we've bought/sold over the years.
