The attorney Steven Cohen disappeared from my case halfway through the process, and both Steven Cohen and attorney Allison Ramelson-Kert gave poor advice that nearly prevented me from achieving my goal in court. It was very disappointing to have Cohen and Ramelson-Kert offer no support to perform the final important services to help achieve my goal. Additionally, their billing department, specifically Keysy Gordon, is excruciatingly slow to respond and sends incomplete invoices. The experience with this law firm during an incredibly painful and traumatic time period only added to the pain. The value in this law firm is simply awful. Please stay away from this law firm. She charged 1/4 of an hour to read and reply to each email response (even if it takes 1 minute), making every e-mail correspondence cost $175. Additionally she'd charge 1/4 when she checked in on status, thereby having free rein to inflate her bill. To put one situation in context I asked for a lawyer recommendation for my partner, which I was charged $350 for her to provide and didn't get flagged until I saw the bill. Additionally her work did not reflect the intent of what I was trying to accomplish, which having additional drafts only further increases her bill. I'd recommend others for services as I spent several thousand to receive no benefit. Additionally when I posted my experience, she responded in a bullying and condescending manner, publicly stating I was trying to get free services which is a bold-faced lie; all because I questioned why asking for a lawyer reference cost me $350 or her other charges. I feel bad for the client she is charging for the time spent posting google review responses.
