She also gets to the bottom of an issue faster because she's actually listening to what's going on and taking her time to examine your pet and be thorough. She will recommend something that makes sense and is actually necessary instead of imagining everything under the sun that could conceivably be wrong with your furball, taking advantage of your love and concern for your pet, and throwing the whole kitchen sink at the problem costing you a small fortune. I really appreciate that, cause it is far too common in my experience for that to happen. She's seen both my cat and my dog quite a few times (and Dr. Welsh a couple times who's cool too btw!) and provided some relief for my dog very quickly for an issue my old vet had me confused about for ages and had me routinely concerned about and spending money on with absolutely no results. She did everything she could to help my dear Kitty (and me) through his last days which was very hard. He was 12 years old and suffering from kidney disease. (PSA, when your cat gets a little older, like 7- fact check me w/ a doctor cause I read this online- make sure to get annual bloodwork done to check for this type of thing, I had no idea how important it was, and dogs can get it too!) I've heard that many vets automatically view kidney disease as an immediate death sentence and will advise you put your pet down right away. Dr. Todd considers the quality of life of the pet first and does her best to find a way to sustain a good quality of life for them as long as is possible rather than throwing her hands in the air and saying oh well. When the time did come to say goodbye, she was extremely helpful, took the time to answer all my questions, never pressured me, and handled the situation with grace and compassion. The staff in general seem very compassionate and understanding and it makes a big difference in a time like that when your vet place is full of people who actually care vs impersonal places that treat you and your pet like a number. The receptionists deserve mentioning as well because they're the first faces you see when you come in and therefore the first impression you get. The front of house in any business really impacts the overall experience for better or worse. Here they are all professional, respectful, and good natured. I only have good things to say about them and their furry companions who roam the office (there's a very handsome and affectionate office cat who's usually in the front and some bring their dogs to work too so they might come say hi!) Anyway, they work hard behind the scenes being diligent about important phone calls etc so that things can get moved along quickly for your pet. Seems like a given, but because you may have noticed this review is half review, half rant about *other* vets () I can say from experience that not everyone is this way. For example, if I have to order something online for my pets that requires vet approval they always approve it in a timely manner. They seem to like each other too and it comes across as a happy work environment which is nice. So if you're new to the area or sick to death of your current vet cause you can't trust them or pay their ridiculous prices, go to Court Street Animal Hospital, you will not be sorry!

He is the person that comes to collect you and your pet when you're ready for your appointment, he is the person that you communicate with throughout the appointment, they don't take your pet into the "back room". We came here after a bad experience at a vet in Bayshore Plaza that required all of our visits to be recorded; we refused and they said we didn't follow their policy and procedures, like she was planning a lawsuit. I am very saddened and unimpressed with the service received by my mother and the new family pet at…read morethis clinic. On 5/6 she purchased a puppy from their partner, Puppies St. Pete. This clinic was recommended to her for the warranty on the puppy. The puppy needed to be checked the next day at this location, as this is the vet of choice by the store for their warrantied dogs. Everything at the first visit minus medication was to be covered by the store. The medication or any recommended procedures were to be discounted. It was easy enough to make an appointment or show up as a walk in early the next morning. Upon arrival, the vet on staff that day (5/7) proceeded to try to charge my mother for vaccinations that the puppy had already been administered a few weeks prior, and she had the vaccination record on hand both in the paperwork brought from the store and within their own records. At least, our assumption would be that a clinic servicing animals would keep paperwork on hand, even if that puppy's name changes in the future. The purchase paperwork had the original name documented. We suspected the puppy had an ear infection, and when that question was noted to the doctor, the doctor informed us that we were going to be charged $60+ dollars for the diagnostic. When asked why they were charging for this diagnostic because the store stated they would be covering any charges for this visit, we were told that that information was wrong and the store does not pay for it. My mother was also charged $50+ dollars for a heartworm exam that had also been done two months prior at a previous visit and was notated in the paperwork. When this was questioned, the vet on duty claimed she was not able to find that paperwork in hand or in their system. Upon review at home, the paper was in the exact folder handed over, with their logo on there. On 5/8, she called the puppy place to inform them about how the visit went and the charges that were made. The employee at the store informed her that she should not have been charged because those services had already been rendered and paid for by the store on previous visits. The store could do nothing about a refund for these charges, so the vet had to be contacted. When they were called on 5/11 for a refund on these charges, she was told that neither vet working was available, but they would call back. To this day, no call has been returned and no refund given for these fraudulent duplicated charges taken on these diagnostic tests.

I am not paid in any way, I have just been through so much and I am so grateful to have him in my life. My story with Dr.Adam's begun in September but If I had one wish, I swear it would be to have met him sooner. My rescue dog Roxy (the love of my life )became very ill and after many vet appointments with a different veterinarian and specialists I had spent well over $7,000 to only find out they were treating her for pneumonia when she had cancer. When she was diagnosed with cancer, I knew I couldn't put her through any of that pain. The vet I had spent so much time and money with wouldn't come to my house to put my baby to sleep. It was a cruelty not to me, but to my girl. All I wanted was a familiar face so she wouldn't be scared. I said I would pay any amount and I would Lysol and clean whatever she wanted. She wouldn't do it. Even though for weeks I had seen her in person. ‍ Pet Passages recommended Dr. Adam's to me and there it was. An answered prayer in disguise. I was so stricken with despair I had no idea what a blessing this was at the time. I called him and he got on the phone with me immediately. Which was odd because it's always a big deal in other offices to talk to the vet so I liked that right away. Then after explaining what was happening he said yes of course I'll come to you but if you bring her to me I can save you $125. A line I have NEVER heard a vet say before. He was on speaker phone and my boyfriend looked up like, did he just say he'd save you money? And I said no, I appreciate it but she's in an oxygen chamber at home and cannot leave. He was ready right away and told me he could come to me that night but I said tomorrow morning please. Give me one more night with her. When he arrived he gave her a little sedation to relax her and went right to her paperwork on the counter. He wasn't eager to put her to sleep, he was eager to see what was wrong. What struck me right away was how thoroughly he looked through her paperwork from Blue Pearl. He studied the notes and was asking questions and checking on her; listening to her lungs and her heart and then going back to the paperwork. I knew right then if he could have saved her, he would have. He then said I'm so sorry, but your dog is very ill and cancer... just cannot be treated. he said he wished I had came to him sooner bc these companies play on your heart when your hurting and make you spend all this money when it's simple. She is very sick with cancer. I have no doubt in my mind that all my prayers were answered that day. Through Roxy's whole life I have searched for a good veterinarian and even though it was near the end, we finally found him. I thought I wanted a familiar veterinarian to be with me and Roxy those last few seconds, but God said no, I'm sending you an angel instead. I now have two beautiful golden doodle puppies and they have only seen Dr. Adam's and WILL ONLY be seeing him for as long as he'll have us. He is just so wonderful. He's straight forward and honest. The cost is extremely reasonable but the care is EXCEPTIONAL. You don't need to search any further that this man. He cares about the animals and is a true one of a kind. He had come to stay with us and needed care, but didn't have an established vet in this area. I contacted Midway Mobile and they were quick to say they could help. We set an appointment right away. They kept in touch about their arrival and appointment time and handled everything on the spot. They provided step by step instructions about what they were doing and why. Thanks to them, the ear infection cleared in a couple of weeks and Riley was looking and feeling a ton better:). Definitely would recommend and use again in this type of situation.
