I had to come back to finish where I started. My poor dog, Rhett Butler, hasn't being the same…read moresince 6/22/2026. I had a voucher from the Animal Service, for being a senior and retired. I was very please and happy with staff that took care of me that day. The post-op was successful, apparently. He had all his leavened up, vaccines, chip, etc, up to date, with Dr. Carter. The procedure was done on 6/12/2026. 8 days into the post/op, the dog started vomiting non-stop, which left me without a choice of bringing him back. Also I noticed that his bowel movement was coal black. I can't complaint of the second time I visited them. They prescribed the dog Trazodone 2mg and Gabapentin 200mg and gave him an intravenous of vomiting fluids. That night, Rhett didn't wake up for 11 hours straight!!!When he finally woke up, his bed was full of urine and vomit (He's trained to potty outside). He look disoriented and angry (weird behavior, since I have him since he was 5 months old, he's 14, now) I returned the next day and to my surprise, it was a different staff. They took the dog elsewhere for some tests and the gave prescribed generic Carafate (sufralcate 1mg) and a prescription of omeprazole In this visit, the dog was seen by Dr. Mike Curran? and a Technician name, John (very friendly). He informed me that he needed some extra tests done because they have found, anemia in his bloodstream? How a dog have anemia after a post-op? Aren't they supposed to do a blood work, before surgery? The total was $950.00!!! They gave me an appointment 2 days later for other tests. I left the dog 5 hours with them and picked him up around 4:45pm. When he came home, he was scared and anxious and started peeing everywhere and ever since, he doesn't want to sleep in his crate, which is humongous. Now, his favorite spot, is a dark bathroom and sleeping on the floor. The next day, I called them to explain the reason of his behavior, and put me on hold and never came back to my call. Meanwhile that night I cancelled the appt. for their negligence of not following up with me. The dog was already dehydrated and whined all night long. Yesterday, I took him to Verg ER and some of test that were supposed to be done by Coastal, had to be repeated all over again. Another $861.00!!!! To my big surprise, they found that the dog diagnose, was Dog Kidney Disease, stage 3??? How on earth a licensed Vet, would not have that diagnostic from pre up tests, before surgery? Now my dog hasn't eaten in 3 days and he's constantly lethargic and apparently in pain from somewhere. Meanwhile, I have to take him to a Specialist (Nephrologist) on Monday, and I don't have the money for these extra tests and to to cover , Coastal negligence. I've being giving him boiled chicken and rice and the ER gave me 2 pills of Cerenia for his vomit. If something happens to my only company after my husband death, I will take this the Supreme Court, if I have to. He is the only thing I have Some animal clinics, are the biggest scam when it comes to money It's a shame I had to write this long message, because I was so pleased for a few days and my it turned out to be a disappointment with some of the staff. I freaking frustrated and overwhelmed with this melodrama

He had come to stay with us and needed care, but didn't have an established vet in this area. I contacted Midway Mobile and they were quick to say they could help. We set an appointment right away. They kept in touch about their arrival and appointment time and handled everything on the spot. They provided step by step instructions about what they were doing and why. Thanks to them, the ear infection cleared in a couple of weeks and Riley was looking and feeling a ton better:). Definitely would recommend and use again in this type of situation.

I am very saddened and unimpressed with the service received by my mother and the new family pet at…read morethis clinic. On 5/6 she purchased a puppy from their partner, Puppies St. Pete. This clinic was recommended to her for the warranty on the puppy. The puppy needed to be checked the next day at this location, as this is the vet of choice by the store for their warrantied dogs. Everything at the first visit minus medication was to be covered by the store. The medication or any recommended procedures were to be discounted. It was easy enough to make an appointment or show up as a walk in early the next morning. Upon arrival, the vet on staff that day (5/7) proceeded to try to charge my mother for vaccinations that the puppy had already been administered a few weeks prior, and she had the vaccination record on hand both in the paperwork brought from the store and within their own records. At least, our assumption would be that a clinic servicing animals would keep paperwork on hand, even if that puppy's name changes in the future. The purchase paperwork had the original name documented. We suspected the puppy had an ear infection, and when that question was noted to the doctor, the doctor informed us that we were going to be charged $60+ dollars for the diagnostic. When asked why they were charging for this diagnostic because the store stated they would be covering any charges for this visit, we were told that that information was wrong and the store does not pay for it. My mother was also charged $50+ dollars for a heartworm exam that had also been done two months prior at a previous visit and was notated in the paperwork. When this was questioned, the vet on duty claimed she was not able to find that paperwork in hand or in their system. Upon review at home, the paper was in the exact folder handed over, with their logo on there. On 5/8, she called the puppy place to inform them about how the visit went and the charges that were made. The employee at the store informed her that she should not have been charged because those services had already been rendered and paid for by the store on previous visits. The store could do nothing about a refund for these charges, so the vet had to be contacted. When they were called on 5/11 for a refund on these charges, she was told that neither vet working was available, but they would call back. To this day, no call has been returned and no refund given for these fraudulent duplicated charges taken on these diagnostic tests.
