A couple of weeks ago, I reserved a limo with these guys for our party - three couples, two of whom had birthday girls (one of those being my lovely wife). "Cowboy", the seemingly affable owner, told me that he needed to take full payment in advance, of $319 for four hours. When I asked if I could give him my Amex, he said that while he did take Amex, he prefers Visa (unfortunately, my debit card) because he gets paid sooner. (In hindsight it would seem he did this because Amex is harder to win customer disputes with.) When the driver arrived, he asked for his tip in advance. (I said no, thankfully.) He then asked me to sign a contract, in the dark. I later learned that is called a "Contract of Adhesion" and it's no more admissible than the legalese you get on an automated parking garage ticket. About twenty minutes into the drive, one of my friends lights up. The driver literally stops the limo, comes back and opens the door, and tells us we can't smoke. No problem, we say, and we put it out immediately, without any discord. Three minutes later, a woman from the limo company calls me (who we later deduced was "Mrs. Cowboy") and says she heard there was smoking, and she was going to charge us $250 to "fumigate" the limousine. After speaking with three different members of our group - alternately trying the "good cop", the "bad cop", and the "lawyer cop" - she wouldn't budge, and she finally gave us a choice: pay the $250, or terminate services immediately. We said fine, we'd terminate services. (Our plan was to use the $75 in tip money to pay for a ride home.) Guess what? When I returned home, I found an email that they charged us the $250 anyway. So now we have paid $559 for less than 1 hour of services. When I called the next day to try to discuss it, they refused to answer the phone. Later that week, I got an email solicitation from them for future services. I responded with detail of my issue, saying they didn't return my phone call. That email has not been returned. read more

These are the comments that should be on their web page. My daughter won a contest on q98 for her whole prom experience to be paid for which included a limo for her and 7 of her friends. All the businesses that took part in the contest delivered wonderfully except one, cowboy limos. The day of the prom 4 hours before pick up they call and said they could not deliver the limo that we signed a contract for because "some Mexicans messed it up inside at a concert the night before. " and it needed cleaning. They sent a small bus that looked like the one the hospital uses to transport visitors and patients! It was so very disappointing. "Mr. Cowboy" did not want to return any phone calls of course and did not care to make his customers happy. Needless to say we have found a new limo company that wants to make us happy this is why we have already used them twice this summer. read more

I would rather take a horse and buggy than ever use Cowboy Limos. They are con artists who will take your money and leave you high and dry without blinking. Don't fall for the "good ole boy" routine. I cannot believe they are still in business considering all the bad reviews. I fell for their BS (shame on me for not checking out the reviews first) and finally had to fight with my credit card company to get my money back. Months later and many stressed filled text conversations with Mr. Cowboy (because he would not return phone calls) I finally got the issues resolved with VISA. I never used their service, although they still had no problem keeping my money. It still really burns me that these people have no conscious, morals or decency to treat their customers with honesty and good old fashioned customer service. read more

I like to start of that the driver showed up with a 4ft.long deep scratch or as if they wrecked against a building, on the passenger door,then it looked like they just spay painted it black to cover the long mark. The point being it was a wrecked black 300m . He parked in front of my neighbors house instead of my house ,so my neighbor was calling me complaining that he is on the limo is on his grass .I asked the driver why,the answer from the driver was that he didnt want the sun to damage the color ,so he is in the shade, he just didnt want me to see the wrecked up limo yet. The driver came to our door and asked us to look up the address to the prom. That to me was letting me know that he didnt have the time to look it up himself,but insisted 20.00 an hour upfront for tip. So we did pay the 120.00 in tip. The driver brought my daughter home at 11:00 am to ask for gas money.We booked it from 6pm-12pm for prom. I was told that the girls could go to dinner after prom from the nice receptionist. I took video and pictures of the limo to post later. I just didnt want to take a picture where my daughter and her friends can be seen in front of this wrecked limo. After he came back to pick up some money for gas at 11:00pm he drove off as if he was going to gas station first then take them to a night out for the rest of the payed time,but he did a u turn 10 minutes later and drove around the neighborhood really slow until time 11:45pm came around ,he was pulling our leg. Took advantage of our kindness to tip,and he argued at the girls ,which by the way my daughter recorded his smart a.. remarks at them. I didnt have a problem with the wrecked limo ,but when the driver becomes rude and disrespectful it makes the limo look ugly and the rest of the cowboy limo service look like they have no sense in customer service,or care about the customers at all. I liked cowboy limo but now just because of the driver I will be taking my good hard earned money else where.My daughter and her friends did not have to be treated like as if it was there fault that gas was on empty. By the way he gave my daughter another business card for limo service else where that cowboy limo charged too much ,so we need to go else where.All this time I thought it was a good reasonable price,but the driver didnt think so. I would have paid for another 2 hours because its my daughters prom night . The point is money was not an issue but customer service is.Why pay for you to slap me with attitude and rudeness and lies.Very very unacceptable in my opinion. NEVER book a limo with cowboy limos. You WILL NOT GET A REFUND. You will get stuck paying 1,000 for NO SERVICE or a ugly bus. I reached out to all the schools in my county to make sure no more limos were ever booked for prom/events by Cowboy Limos. DO NOT use this company. The driver ran their bus into the building I manage. We called the police to report the "hit and run" but the bus kept going. Calls to the owner were unsuccessful. Cowboy claimed we need to talk to the driver. He did not take ownership of the problem. He stopped returning calls and emails. I had to pay about $1000 to have the building repaired. I hired a bus for my guests and a limo for the wedding party for my wedding. I went through the step by step on how the day needed to go with each limo driver. The driver of our wedding party got the idea. He took the groomsmen first to the ceremony site and then came back for the bridal party. The driver of the bus however thought "he had a better idea" of how everything needed to go. I specifically told my guests (who were at multiple hotels) that there would be two pick-ups for the ceremony. He decided to sit at one location first for 30 minutes and then go to the other hotels to pick the others up with the same concept. this caused a number of my wedding party to be late who were ushers for the guests, and many guests were calling me to enquire where the driver was because they had been waiting for well over 45 minutes beyond what I told them it would be. So there was only one run. Everyone got to the reception just fine and we all had a blast. Our limo driver was awesome! He took us all around and was just really great. He even took special care to put colors matching our wedding theme in the limo! Loved him! The bus driver, however, instead of making runs every hour on the hour like I had asked starting at 8pm, he waited until 11 when everyone had cleared out to take them back to their prospective hotels. I possibly had people waiting on that bus for 3 hours. That is ridiculous and totally unacceptable!! If I recommend anything, I recommend you STRICTLY tell your drivers what your plan is and you explain to them that this plan is NOT to be deviated! I spent HOURS as a bride figuring out the MOST convenient way to transport my guests and expected them to follow my directions to the letter. After all I PAID for their services, not their opinions on what THEY thought was a "better idea". This is why they do not get an "excellent" rating. Everyone got where they needed to go, however it was not to the exact request by the person that hired them. (I am just thankful January 19 was 70* because I've just read many reviewed that people didn't have AC or Heat and that it was blamed on the drivers for not knowing how to operate the vehicles.. HAHAHAHA if that's true, perhaps the company needs to hire smarter drivers.) This would be my only caution. Otherwise, They did a great job transporting, were friendly, and the transportation was clean. I do recommend this company, however, I do recommend you LAY OUT what you want and let them know that the END RESULT of what you want is not only what you pay for. I Have used Cowboy Limo several times over the past few years. They have taken my children to prom every year. They were prompt and the drivers were always good with the kids. This past Friday evening I used them again for a girls night out. The driver arrived early - was courteous and friendly - the limo was beautiful! The experience was wonderful. STAYYYY CLEARRR!!!! Rented the "Eclipse" party bus for by daughter's 21st birthday. After telling the owners my apprehension of using them because of the reviews I read, they assured me of their professionalism & integrity. Bunch of crap!! I had 13 people waiting at my house when a rather old limo pulled up instead of the party bus! Needless to say, I went off...the driver got Mrs Cowboy on the phone & surprise, guess what she said, the bus had broken down so they sent me an "upgrade". No phone call that day to tell me that I won't be getting what I paid for or anything. She was to total B*&#@h on the phone! Gave me the opportunity to cancel only at that time, 5 minutes before we were supposed to leave! If she would have done the right thing, to call that morning & tell me, I would have definitely cancelled and found a more reputable company. The "upgrade" limo had a short in the radio, only two of the speakers worked & basically was a piece of crap! I could go on & on but please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Guess u would try and defend your employer...OMG!!! The staff are liars as well. So when a vehicle has trouble with the lights and there' no power, uh duh alternator. As for the limo you explain to me how 10 passengers 3 of those plus sized fit into a small sized Chrysler 300. Like I mentioned earlier people were sitting on laps. U guys were complaining about food and drinks spilled on the bus...what do you expect its a party bus...thats like a hotel renting out a room and not expecting to wash the sheets the next day. Yes me and owner were arguing because he didn't want to compensate anything and told me to shut up!!! The bus was leased for 9 hours and the only reason we were over our time was because we had to wait 2 1/2 to 3 hours in the freezing cold with cocktail dresses on due to the alternator. What a complete scam! Cowboy limo is a disgrace to the American working man, taking advantage of their customers by contorting any failure of service to make it someone else's fault. I only wished that I had looked at reviews before making our reservation. Our night began with a vehicle with broken AC and a broken vehicle door. Cowboy limo was prepared to fix this by trading out with a new vehicle and reassured us that the switch would only take 30 min. Over 4 1/2 hours it took us to arrive at our destination our original travel time was only 1 1/2 hours. There is no reason even with restroom breaks that our trip should have taken that long. 18 passengers missed an event in which we were give free admission due to our Military affiliation. The manager of the Greensburo Coleisum and the marketing manager of PBR went above and beyond to support the military. Cowboy Limo made myself and the uniformed services look like fools. Upon discussing this with Cowboy Limo they were prepared to avoid blame at all cost, they just talked in circles the whole time, when told that they would call me back with a response they never did. Do NOT be taken by "cowboys" good o'l boy demeanor, he is scam artist with a car salesman pitch prepared to take your hard earned money, they clam to be most concerned with ensuring that your experience is the best it can be. That's a lie, their concern is to feed you just enough to take your money. Grudging by the amount of comments found on reviews they have be using people for quite sometime with no intention to change the way they operate, I going to do my best to spread this poor display of professionalism to as many review agencies as possible in hopes that they do not take advantage of another person. read more

it was my wife 30 years old birthday patty and i want to surprises her with something special and different, i decided to rent a limo, i call these company and they promised me a lot of things that never happened, they made me pay everything upfront. the deal was that for $400 i can have the limo for 4 hrs and they were going to pay the driver and i just have to tip the driver, also i asked him about how i can meet the driver on saturday afternoon to decorate the limo with birthday signs balloons etc and he said yes that's not a problem at all the driver will contact you at friday night and you set up a time with him. but everything was a lie he just wanted my money. the driver never contact me, i had to spend almost 3 hrs from 1pm to 4 pm on saturday trying to contact these company finally at 4pm somebody answer the phone and gave me the driver's phone number, i had to call the driver by myself and he told me he was in greensboro with a costumer and he was coming back to raleigh about 7 pm so i never could meet him to decorate the limo. he was sorry about the situation but he said it was not his fault the company should it tell me the true about where he was. after few minutes he called me back and ask about if i am going to paid him and i said that they told me they were going to paid you and i just have to tip you, and that was a lie i end to pay for the driver also they just trick the driver and the customer like that. he picked us up at 10 pm and we supposed to have the limo for 4hrs and at 1 am the driver came out and said that if we want more time we have to call the office, we called the office and the owner was really unprofessional and treat us very bad with bad worse. and then the driver was feeling very sorry and he told us that he had to go and pick another driver because the limo broke down. very bad costumer services and unprofessional people they should not be on business read more

These people are con artists. It looks like there are many others that have had similar problems with Cowboy Limos. We requested a hummer limo as well and they showed up with the wrong limo. They decided to show up with a limo with no air conditioning on a day that it was 105 degrees out. It was hotter inside the limo than outside...dangerously hot. So hot that the driver would not even stay in the limo and he opened the windows in 105 degree heat to cool it down. He stayed outside the limo the entire time of our ceremony. We had the limo scheduled for 4 hours and could only utilize the inside of it for 30 minutes. We cut the service short and didn't receive any refund. They said that they would replace the limo if there were any issues and they didn't. We called the owner, Cowboy, after the fact and he was extremely rude and not willing to work with us at all. He was very defensive and even yelling at us and calling us names. This is a very shady operation that they have going on and it looks like they really know how to take advantage of people on special occasions. We were not given any prior notice about anything from Cowboy Limos and couldn't do anything the make alternative arrangements because it was so close to the time of our wedding. You would be happier purchasing a $500 beat up car and taking it around town than going with Cowboy Limos. read more

My son in law requested a hummer limo for his wedding day, what a disasster . the pick up was only 1 mile from the destination and straight down the road, for somereason it took 25 minutes to get there, the driver had no idea where he was going and the limo had swedish guest in it, and they thought the driver knew where to take them.. why didnt he have directions, driver should have been prepared, then he came back to get the bride and her party (LATE) and took them 1 mile down. it was soooo hot in the limo, the My 4 year old granddaughter passed out( NOPE the owners didn't care) then when the ceremony was over the Limo was to pick up the bride/groom and the wedding party, and they were to have champagne to toast , to the reception, 1 mile down....guess what, the driver NEVER showed up until after the Bride & Groom started walking to the reception at the Carolina Inn. we have contacted the owners and believe SERVICES were not Rendered..we are due a FULL refund... read more

My daughter and a group of her friends reserved a party bus for their prom April 27th. The bus was scheduled to pick the group up at 8. At 9 the bus had not arrived so the group was planning to call their parents to pick them up to take them to the prom. A second bus driver called and said he would pick them up. At 10 the first bus driver appeared. By then it was too late to go the the prom. The entire group of seniors missed their last high school prom. I called Cowboy Limos several times to speak with someone about the incident. Each time I called, I was told the person I needed to speak with (Mark) was not available and would call me back. I never received a call. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Since the reservation was not n my name, Cowboy Limos denied doing business with me. What a classless business. Not only did Cowboy Limos ruin senior prom for my daughter and her Friends, they refuse to be accountable for their actions. No they full of bs i gt married may 18,2013. I paid my deposit n march n they lady that booked explain to me pay it before u gt married. Ok they had sent me email about my balance...I been busy with my wedding so yes it slip up on me about me paying my bill so i check my email n noticesthey had my church address wrong so i call them n they change it but the men didnt mention to me u have to pay ur bill ten to fourteen days before the date. Ok like i explain to them they didn't call me or left a vm on my phone. So i pay my bill on may 16, they took my money n everything...so later on a private call kept calling me ,I don't answer unknown num but i said to myself maybe its important so I answer n I gets thebad news that I suppose to pay the bill ten to fourteen days ! I was was mad n telling them this was important wht can i do . Plain and simple. We paid Cowboy Limo $2,085 for a Rolls Royce limo for our daughter's wedding. Cowboy never even purchased the Rolls Royce limo that we were promised. When we tried to get our money back, Cowboy would not issue a refund. We were told that they do not issue refunds and that they didn't have the money to give back to us. RED FLAG! My wife tried to work something out with them about getting buses for our bridal party. Obviously, this didn't equal the $2,085 we had paid them, but we were trying to get something worked out. They stopped answering the phone several weeks ago. We went by their location to find out that they have been shut down by DMV. Now, this week, I have been told that they have decided to file bankruptcy. I am still pursuing them in an attempt to get our money back, but it doesn't look good. This was a lot of money and, as expensive as a wedding is, to have someone take over $2,000 from us is very hard to handle. I have heard that he is planning to open another limo business up in another name, using his wife's name as the owner. I am not sure if this is true, but as soon as I know the name, I will be glad to post it and let everyone know how he does business.
