Very enclosed space, small store, but filled with all kinds of stuff! The place is decorated with cool stickers and posters. They got vinyls, CD's, Cassette tapes, A-Tracks, 45's...etc. Good service, and everything is at a decent price/value for all music.

What's going to get your record player mooing better than a Cow by mooing I mean rocking out to your favorite tunes with the two tone beat because it's just ever so neat! Records are like one of my favorite things ever to come across as I have a ton and I keep feeding my addiction to them almost every time I visit a record store because you can never have too much music as it's one of the best things in life! This is a small little store that packs a bunch of music into the spot they have I must say they do have a good selection here as there's pretty much something for everyone so your sure to find that vinyl you really want to get spinning! Another thing I always look for when I visit a new record store is the pricing and here is definitely fair for the market on just about every record I picked up as nothing was higher than it should be! The store it self is really awesome and just a few short steps away from the beach so don't forget to stop by here on your way home as I know your going to want to because music is the best! Overall this is an awesome little shop that's full of tunes who knows when I'll get back here again but if I'm in the area it's definitely worth a stop because i found a good amount of artists here last visit that I listen to and I can always use more music!

I love this place! Awesome vibes.... location makes for great business. The owner is amazing, it's always good to talk music with people who know their stuff. Support the locals! I was on vacation but had to buy some vinyl. So in and see for yourself!

Super cool store! They have a huge selection of vinyl, CD's and DVD's. It's over all just looks cool inside and is a nice place to check out.

Cows are pretty cool.

I still have a cassette player in my car. Cassettes at Cow's are 99 cents. You can't really go any lower than that. The bread and butter of the place are the records--they've got plenty of them. You could spend a day flipping through their collection. They also have an interesting used DVD section and a few CDs. If you've gone completely digital and you're looking to get rid of your old music mediums, I've heard that Cow's is pretty fair with their pricing. Go milk the Cow for all the quick cash you can!

Great selection and variety but prices were kind of steep for CDs. Workers were very nice and I will definitely be back!

Sadly I walked in... happy to be returning to a cool place from my past. The moment I walked in I was greeted with rudeness and dismissive treatment. I was polite and friendly but was received as though I failed some unknown test. One 'lurch-like' skinny ghoul back at the rear register was counting change dropping it into the change drawer with attitude glaring at me as though I committed a crime for coming in... and was absolutely un friendly. Picking up on this vibe... I checked my watch. 15 minutes til closing. I exited immediately. Here's a thought... do your drawer counts after closing or close the store a half hour earlier instead of blaming customers from walking in when you are posting open hours. It was a ridiculous reception. So I went back the next morning to look for a couple things and was treated rudely by another woman behind the counter. Finally a guy back by the music area was actually kind and welcoming and I gladly purchased from him. Thank you for being cool sir. Nobody else was.

we LOVE taking our girls to BlueBird! located in the heart of OB, we have been a number of times…read more Time and time again our girls LOVE the space! thanks to a fellow yelper who introduced us to them, when they hosted their little bday party! We really like coming on the weekends!, a few things to know: there is a waiver that can be signed up in adv., kids need grippy socks and adults need regular socks. Lets see there is an infant area, but for toddlers the ship, houses, pretend play ice cream karts, kitchens, dolls and slides is what really does it. they have a bathroom that is potty kid and diaper change station friendly. there is a back parking lot that can get full relatively fast, there is street parking around. they are located on the 2nd floor of the building. they have a shop with toys/books. what I really like is that all pretend play structures are of high quality and well built! this last time, our girls participated in the music class and had a blast with the drums!... very nice vibrant colors not just in the structures but also in the paintings, the floor has high quality cushiony mats, there is also couches for adults! I like that for the most part, I can take my eyes off cause the space is pretty safe for toddlers who have mastered kid friendly stairs. thank you again and happy 1 year BlueBird Play! more info on their website: https://bluebirdplay.com/ ig: https://www.instagram.com/bluebirdplayspace/?hl=en

We signed the digital waiver, confirmed we had grip socks, and went right into the play space. The play space was adorable, fun, and perfect for toddlers! The staff prioritized safety and limited the space to 25 kids. It did get pretty crowded and a bit chaotic around 9:45/10am, but that is likely because of the free day and that Santa was coming at 10am. They also had a guitarist who mentioned he gives music lessons there weekly on Saturdays. I imagine it wouldn't normally be at max capacity on a regular business day. As far as regular business, it is $25 for the whole day (can leave and return) which seemed very reasonable. They are open for birthday parties as well. My son had an absolute blast! They had five main areas to the space - two princess like area with dress up outfits, a pink house with play kitchens, dolls, a pirate ship, a treehouse with legos, and a fenced in baby area. Three of the play structures had slides from the second floor. All of the structures were made of wood, as well as the toys (play food, cars and trucks, etc). The floor was foam padded as well. They have nice couches for parents to sit and a cute bookstore in the lobby and also some snacks for purchase. They have a parking lot, that to my surprise, was also not full! They are located on the second floor above the OB Noodle house. A perfect location to grab a bite after or check out the beach. Really loved this concept and the space. We will definitely return!

You don't just go in a coffee shop and only use their internet without buying a coffee. And it felt safer since the store is crammed with awesome stuff, there were less people to breath with (and there was lots of hand sanitizer) I got the mood enhancer CBD non-alcoholic beer and it was delicious! You get a cbd gummy and then you chase it with your drink, so it's a lot fruitier. I don't even like beer but that is reason alone to come back! Anyway the store was like a blast from the past, it had some arcade machines and lots of random cool stuff. They had a very nice manga section and used science fiction/fantasy novels. There were a ton of comics and they were organized alphabetically. The owner was actually super gracious and helpful (I guess as long as you aren't an entitled asshole you won't be treated like one) Parking was a pain but what can you expect since it is on the main drag but I would definitely come back.

The bf also got a kick out of it since he worked as a theater manager for years and loves checking out different theaters. The inside of the store was pretty similar to other Barnes and Nobles, maybe a bit smaller. Good amount of book merch and themed table sections, but I think the lighting could have been a bit brighter. They were running some great deals before new years so I picked up a few new books. I have noticed that sometimes Barnes and Noble doesn't pick up the discounts listed on the stickers on the front covers of books, so I pay extra attention when those are rung up. The guy at the register was super nice and corrected it, no problem!

And of course, the Bookstar sign out front giving it old theater vibes. Selection was similar to what other B&N have. Their record section was cute, displayed in the front window. The store was well organized, easy to navigate, and had all the featured table displays. I was searching for The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig when I went, but they were out of stock. The employee who helped me offered to call another store in the area, which was really nice of her! I ended up getting it at the Mission Valley location. Overall worth a visit, if only to take pictures of the cool sign. Otherwise, it's like any other Barnes & Noble.
