Went to the coffee shop next door and SO CUTE! The service was GREAT, ambiance GREAT, and menu GREAT! Got an iced vanilla latte, blueberry muffin, and tofu breakfast burrito. The best kept secret in southeastern Utah. Liza has an incredible eye for art. The jewelry, pottery, fetishes, and paintings are unique and very well-wrought. Artists who she works with came and went during the hour I spent with her, indicative of her 30+yr relationships with some of these folks. Her art sensibility was invaluable as I struggled to de ode which piece to buy. I settled on a lovely Thomas Begay work that I love. Don't miss this gallery read more

Beautiful, museum quality, beautifully curated trading post. and the owner Liza is wonderful. We felt good knowing that Liza has a genuine connection with the artists and makers represented at her shop. Highly recommend a visit! read more

this place seemed to be closed but we enjoyed the old car outside and the overall feel and look of it. We ate at the Red Rock restaurant nearby. read more

This was an amazing place, considering the seasonal nature of business in the area, but sadly, the restaurant closed. You can still shop at the trading post, though, and it has an exceptional selection of Native American (Hopi, Zuni, Navajo) crafts. read more

OMG!! I can't believe that I had not yet written a review for Cow Canyon Trading Post. I've been traveling Navajo and Hopi lands for over 60 years (since I was 5 years old with my parents). I trade/collect a lot in Navajo rugs and Hopi Kachinas. I'd say a good 30 years now, Liza's place has been my favorite stop. Liza has incredible taste in her offerings and she clearly cares about and supports the artists. Thomas Begay's wonderful and unique works are not for sale at any other locale. You gotta' check out his work! Anyway, every time I am at Cow Canyon, I end up hanging out there for hours. Liza has become a good friend to me and she can be yours as well! Don't pass this place up. read more
