One of the best dinosaur museums I have ever been to. Room after room of displays and dinosaur fossils. Admission is 5.00 per adult. You can easily be there for 2 hours looking at every thing.

Looks cool but it was closed when we went! Heard great things about it but I can only say we are disappointed that it was closed and the times it was open was incorrect. Opens April 15 th to October 15th.

Quite fascinating. The explanation of the distribution of dinosaurs on Gondwana land was very thought provoking. After visiting the museum I could still remember this place which meant it made an impression on me. I usually despise these roadside attractions with a vengeance, on their more than unusually insipid and ghastly displays, but this Museum had substance. The dinosaur displays were quite convincing and I even took a few good pictures to remember them by. Hopefully I may be fortunate enough to make a return trip in the future.

Owners, paleontologists and artists Stephen and Sylvia Czerkas have created a professional, well crafted and curated museum. The displays are all well done, labeled and displayed in a manner that you would expect from a prominent museum. Skeletons, fossilized skin, dinosaur eggs, footprints, feathered dinosaurs, eggs and babies, beautiful realistic sculptures and state of the art graphics make the world of dinosaurs burst into reality. Some displays like the mummified Edmontosaurus cast can also be found in other museums like the Senckenburg Museum in Germany. There are also dinosaur movie posters, memorabilia and exhibits illustrating dinosaurs in popular culture. Open Monday-Saturday 9-5 from April 15-October 15, it represents an exceptional value and experience. Admission is $3.50 adults, $2.50 seniors and $2.00 for children. While you are in the Blanding, Utah area,The Edge of the Cedar Museum and State Park and Utah State University exhibit "Nations of the Four Corners" are also quality experiences.

Wow! This is the largest collection of feathered dinosaur paleontology exhibit I have ever seen. In addition, this museum, obviously repressed a lifetime of movie set advisement or dinosaur model/animatronics. This makes the experience very unique while studying the vast array of detailed and well researched exhibits. The fossils and bones you would expect to see are in abundance including mummified remains of Edmontosaurus or Dilophosaurus in addition to several others. Well researched tracks and stomping grounds in the region including casts of prints are wonderful to review. Gives you lots of ideas of where to visit from here while you are in the region. Absolutely fantastic. Ok, this is for the curators, the movie posters are AMAZING! I never imagined that dinosaurs were featured in so many films. Please, oh please offer this collection in your gift shop. I would have purchased the entire collection. Or just some t-shirts. It was amazing. Oh, wait, I already said that. I also particularly like the still photography exhibit. Hope you don't mind I am posting a picture of what you see through the lens. All in all, I definitely recommend this inexpensive stop on your journey. It is a destination in and of it self. But please plan for at least an hour. The research in the exhibits could be poured over for a week. Wonderful!!

Love this place. Visited this place almost 7 years ago and was amazing. I came back thinking it might be the same, still was, but they added a new attraction. Their sign says "new exhibit every year" but I think just has small additions. Still amazing. The best part is that it's never crowded, you can have the whole place to yourself. Also pretty heap admissions, $3.50 adults and less for kids and seniors.

Spotted this place while trying to find a restroom. Glad we did. We stopped in and enjoyed the exhibits. Cheap! A lot to see.

Moab Museum - The story about recreation in Moab

There was minimal focus on the Settlers and the founding of the town. There was not much history telling daily life of the settlers before the uranium discovery. There was barely any mention of surrounding environment and the native Americans relationships to the settlers. Overall, it was a good way to spend an hour to an hour and a half. Admission price was $10 for adult and $8 for Senor. Free parking in front of the museum.

Aside from modern day Moab being a big tourist destination and jumping off point for adventures in places like Arches NP and Canyonlands NP I didn't know much about its origins so I was excited to visit the Moab Museum. The museum is one large room and while you can view the exhibits in any order I found it was best to start at the very beginning and work my way clockwise. The museum starts with the indigenous people who lived in modern day Moab and ends with Moab being central to two national parks and a recreation hub. Missionaries, fur trappers, cowboys, miners, adventurists and dinosaurs were all covered in between. My favorite exhibit was about William Grandstaff. The exhibit called "Tracing the Story of William Grandstaff" traces his roots from likely being enslaved in Virginia to becoming a Civil War era soldier, frontiersmen, pioneer, cowboy, miner and saloon manager in Utah and Colorado. I love when museums leave me wanting to know more and William Grandstaff is definitely someone who'd I'd like to learn more about. I'd also like to hike the trail named in his honor - the Grandstaff Trail in Grandstaff Canyon. One of the best features of the museum were historical pictures of the Moab area that you could scroll through on a tablet. The photos really helped me understand the history of Moab. Admission was $10 for an adult and I felt it was well worth it. The museum has a good bit of reading, some artifacts and a few interactive exhibits sprinkled in so some kids might be a little bored but I really enjoyed it. Kids 7 and under visit for free and students are $8.
