So update 04/29/25, if you have been ripped off with no surveillance, no report, complain in writing to the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board 919-788-5320, you can email them your complaint. They will set up a meeting with Covington. You will be notified of the location, time and date of the meeting. About a week before the meeting Jeff will ask for an extension, which the state will grant. But on the next time/date, you will be notified. File your law suit and have him served at the Grievance meeting with the state. After several complaints he will have to find other work. Lord Bless his heart. March 18, 2025 Update, we complained to NC board. Jeff just got the hearing postponed. As of Dec 9, 2024 still no report, no photos, no communication and no refund. He takes the money and then nothing. On October 16, we sent over a $2500 payment after we had a long conversation about what we required to complete the surveillance. Had several conversations before we paid the money and Jeff seemed like he knew what he was doing. After Jeff got the money we did not hear from him until we texted and called him for 3 days. He finally sent two photos, but they did not have date and time. As of today, March 18, 2025, we have not seen a report or additional photographs . We do not know how many hours were worked. We have requested a refund, but he refuses to give one and told us to feel free to file a lawsuit. He talks about his resume a lot. 26 yrs in narcotics but no report. No accountability to the client. I've hired other PIs. We normally get a daily report. Jeff does not provide reports. He treats the case like he is LE and can't tell you what is going on, said we were micromanaging.
