I cannot say enough great things about Erin and her wonderful business. As a former vet tech, when…read moreyou leave your pets in Erin's very capable hands, you will literally get a peace of mind! Erin is just absolutely great with all animals- big or small. She gives each and every one of them the love and attention they need and deserve. And as an animal lover, I couldn't be happier with her services. Now, Peace of Mind Pet Sitting is the first place I recommend to friends and family whenever they ask about a good quality pet sitter.

We were looking for an alternative to boarding our large, active, hairy, pooping, peeing machine…read more I stumbled across a business card for Peace of Mind Pet Sitting at the local pet store. Peace of Mind is bonded and insured. Ms. Creel is the proprietor and a Registered Veterinary Technician. She offers a couple of levels of service, visiting the house as needed or even sleeping over to care for pets. Ms. Creel met us at the house. She provide references and proof of insurance. We worked through a checklist of the dog's needs and habits. She then spent time with the dog. We agreed on a twice a day schedule to visit the house which included a substantial walk every evening. She also agreed to pick up the newspaper, mail and water a few plants. While we were away, Ms. Creel took great care of our shedding monster. She texted us regularly with updates, and left a running series of notes on how the day went. We have used Ms. Creel 3X in the past year and hope to continue using her. It is about twice the cost of boarding the dog which is well worth the peace of mind (no pun intended). I strongly recommend Peace of Mind and Ms. Creel. He passed away the first of the year. I would treat cat sitters who hold themselves out as professional as suspect. This status can get in the way of individualized customer service. The pretense of professionalism imposed unnecessary complications. Ms. Fink insisted that it was impossible to do her job in less than half an hour. I limited her to five to ten minutes with my feral cat. Whose needs was she trying to satisfy by insisting on more time? Ms. Fink or someone on her behalf posted a review of my business the day after I left my review of her. The timing makes it highly improbable that it was someone unrelated to the situation. I asked Ms. Fink to remove it. She ignored me. My clients asked about the review. Yes, I did seek to hold Fink accountable but defamation is hard to prove. Ms. Fink expressed her regret that my cats had to spend four days alone, but no apology for callously not helping when I was in crisis. She had no obligation to treat my emergency with urgency. But, wouldn't it have been nice if she did? It is illegal to post factual untruths. It is immoral to do so when you know a fellow human being is already involved in a dire life circumstance.

I drop my dogs off for boarding and despite me asking several times they never stopped using the leash that was choking the neck of my tiny Italian greyhound. The third day of boarding I visited and noticed a lump on his neck and he was having trouble breathing. The doctor on duty assured me she would keep a close eye on him and make sure it didn't get any larger, unfortunately this did not happen. May I add that I was the one who found the lump (golf ball sized) they never even looked twice at him long enough to notice. I showed up the following day and his neck had tripled in size and no one alerted me. They did not even bother to take the paper collar around his neck off that was cutting off circulation. He was in so much pain he was wheezing and whimpering. I stressed how disappointed I was there was not an eye kept on my dog and the kennel attendant responded " you are right I will let them know to keep a closer eye next time" what if there had not been a next time? What if your neglect and mishandling cost him his life? I firmly believe if I did not take my dog immediately to receive emergency medical attention that he would not be alive. We are currently doing multiple forms of testing to figure out how he obtained the lump and how to treat it. I will attach photos.
