Courtyard Pharmacy in Calabasas is a locally owned and operated pharmacy. I have been a customer since they opened and have always found them to be extremely helpful, efficient and reliable. I recently had a situation where I was leaving out of the country for a week and out of a medication. Greta was more than willing to come up with a solution where she was able to get me a temporary supply of the medication to get me through the week. Courtyard Pharmacy was truly insensitive, showing a total lack of knowledge regarding our insurance as well as our medications. We spent several hours moving all our medications from CVS to Courtyard Pharmacy. And several weeks later, we were told that we weren't covered. Not only did Courtyard Pharmacy make absolutely no effort to help us with our coverage, but Greta was completely rushed, rude and insensitive to us along the way. This experience was one of the worst I've ever run across in the health care industry. From the pharmacists to the assistants to the staff outside coordinating the Covid-19 vaccines, everyone is truly focused on making sure the customer gets both the information and the products they need. They were so helpful with information/scheduling for my 16 year-old's vaccination that I have decided to transfer all of my pharmacy business to Courtyard Pharmacy! We have been using this pharmacy for the past 6 months. We are very pleased with the service. Everyone that I have spoken with on the phone are always very polite and they do not put you on hold for longer than 2 minutes (unlike CVS -45 minutes). The pharmacist named Greta is extremely knowledgeable of different drugs and will give you the one on one that I need ( CVS have too many different pharmacist that come and go, it is difficult to build a relationship with one). My 95 year old mother is on GJ tube and the medication that she needs is out of stock. Greta is willing to go the extra step to talk to her gastroenterologist to get another rx and send the paperwork for insurance to approved it. It makes the process so much faster. This is the most amazing place, with the nicest people who work there. We needed a last minute piece of medical equipment after an injury. The person who answered the phone took the time to check if the item was in stock. But the pharmacy was closing in 10 minutes, so she offered to stay past closing until we arrived, so we would be able to pick up the item. The most incredible customer service! I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Greta and her staff for the amazing service and support I was provided. My school's program required a list of immunizations needed for this upcoming semester and I had a short turnaround time to submit them. My primary physician was booked out for appointments so there was no luck getting them there. In addition, as I have been extremely cautious about where I go out, I wanted to avoid the local CVS stores where there may be higher foot traffic. Labcorp, where I typically go for routine work was closed early due to New Year's Eve. I was beginning to get a little frantic. My mother recalled that there was a local pharmacy at the Courtyard at the Commons that I could try, which turned out to be Courtyard Pharmacy. From the moment I first called I was greeted by a friendly staff member. I was later directed to Greta who listened so intently regarding my situation and the urgency I had to get my immunizations submitted on time. Immediately she offered me a solution, suggesting I forward all my program's requirements along with my immunization history, letting me know she would look over them and get back to me on what vaccines were needed. I was a little taken aback as I have never experienced such kind and thoughtful service like this, she definitely put my my anxieties to rest. On the day I went in for my vaccinations I contacted the facility to ask when would be an ideal time to go in with the least amount of foot traffic. I spoke to one of the pharmacists, Sue, who understood my concern and let me know that I could call once I was parked and she would let me know whether other customers were around. This gave me a peace of mind and I could really see how thoughtful everyone was at this clinic. Inside, the facility was absolutely spotless and clean. Sue greeted me warmly and directed me to the private room where the vaccinations would be administered. She let me know that one of the injections might hurt a little more than the other but I felt absolutely no pain. I was in and out quickly and left feeling grateful to have this local pharmacy nearby. Everything was efficient, safe, and my experience was very pleasant. where the pharmacist was gracious enough to order an urgent medicine I needed that my regular pharmacy wasn't able to get, she then told me on pick up that she won't be able to fill it anymore after because it's "too expensive " and she will be "losing money " by getting it for me. This is a critical medicine for me at the moment and being told this plus then having to go call multiple other pharmacies to get it refilled is just super annoying. I can't say enough good things about my experience with pharmacist Greta Goldshtein at Courtyard Pharmacy. My doctor was out of the flu vaccine and suggested that I try to get one at a drug store. I found Courtyard via Google and was very impressed with the posted reviews. I gave them a call and was blown away by the customer service. In order to accommodate my concerns and limit my time inside the store, Greta set me up online, with my health insurance information included. Greta was waiting for me when I arrived and brought me into a private room to administer the vaccine. While I was there, we discussed another vaccine that I had heard about. I subsequently discussed her advice with my doctor who was in total agreement with everything that Greta had told me. The only reason that I wasn't in and out faster was that I was very comfortable inside the store and stayed to do a little shopping while I was there. Greta is extremely professional and both she and the drugstore itself are COVID compliant to a fault. (FYI: If I had chosen to do so, Greta would have given me the shot while I was in my car. Greta and Courtyard Pharmacy are amazing. I always thought that a Pharmacist was just someone who took your prescription and gave you your medication. They are much more. They have made sure that the proper dosage is ordered. They will communicate (yes real communication) with the doctor and make beneficial suggestions to make sure it works for the patient. Greta takes her time to describe the medications, interactions, and issues, well beyond just reading you the label.
