When we first starting working together, I was at a stressful and frustrating point in my career and considering a change. We dove deep and explored every option, leaving no stone unturned. We developed methods to evaluate every potential route I could have taken, discussed the pros and cons of big decisions, and worked together to create a vision of my future that I wanted--then made a plan to achieve it. Mara was excellent at helping me figure out my strengths, my career criteria, my personality traits, and all the things that make up who we are, but we don't necessarily think about. I learned so much about myself through the process. Mara was thoughtful, organized, kind, and extremely supportive in every one of our sessions. She also has a great sense of humor and we make each other laugh a lot, which keeps our sessions fun. If you're considering working with a career coach or life coach, know that it's a relationship and relationships require work from both sides. This isn't a service where you answer a few questions then someone tells you what job you should have. There are Buzzfeed quizzes for that. With Mara, I brought ideas to the table and we worked through them together. She provided resources, tools, and a framework to guide my thinking. She brought her own ideas to the table and we discussed them. There was homework. Research. Big things to think about. Lots of introspection outside of our 1-hour sessions. I've since started a new chapter in my career and I continue to work with Mara for her guidance on leadership, balance, and where to devote my energy. She's a wonderful coach and an awesome human being.

As we identified potential industries and roles that would be a fit, she provided valuable targeting and interviewing strategies to help stand out. I recommend Annie, and encourage anyone considering coaching to schedule a consultation and see if it's a fit. That's part of what I appreciate about Annie is that she believes in working together if it's a good fit; so scheduling a consultation did not make me feel pressured to make a decision but rather made me feel empowered to gather information and decide what kind of work I needed and what service would best fit my needs. In the end I went with Annie, and am so happy I did!

Before I worked with Alex I was consistently having power struggles with my teenage daughter during which I would feel alternatively aggressively angry or completely powerless. This pattern wasn't working for either me or my daughter! During the session I learned a new way of being through movement that felt powerful, strong and relaxed. It was interesting and felt good but I didn't think it would have much lasting effect. However, several weeks later, I haven't had one power struggle with my teenager that I remember and the kitchen is getting cleaned when I ask :-) I have nothing else to attribute it to but the work Alex did with me. I am impressed. Thanks Alex!

I will admit, I started my journey with Kim with a little bit of skepticism. It wasn't until after my first session, that I quickly realized the beautiful gift that she carries. The gift of light that she beams to all those around her is what she shares so that we can in turn also find our inner light and beam outwards to the world. Kim and I spoke for approximately 90-mins during my first session. I remember entering the Zoom conversation with my walls up and not being very optimistic about the process. Kim and I spoke about a variety of topics to get better acquainted and the session ended with a sound bowl meditation. To my surprise, I left our first conversation feeling rejuvenated and hopeful. I also felt lighter, as if some weight was lifted off my shoulders. Before we hung up the Zoom video call, Kim reminded me that all sessions are recorded and made available for her clients to re-watch. She suggested I take some time to re-watch my first session so that I can compare my aura at the beginning of the session to the end. I didn't understand what she meant until I re-watched the recording. Indeed, in an hour and twenty minutes time, I went from a negative and gloomy state to a bright and vibrant one. My conscious willingness to open my mind to change, and to have some faith in the process, was all it took to see and feel a shift. Kim makes it very clear that results cannot take place without self-realization and a personal commitment for continued improvement. One must first recognize the ego and chip away at it so that it no longer occupies the leading role. Heart healing is a process and it is with time that the process will render life changing results. With determination and perseverance, life can be anything you want it to be! I feel blessed and grateful to have crossed paths with Kim in my life journey. For anyone who is also looking for a little bit of guidance, I highly recommend reaching out to Kim. She is one of the most genuine human beings I know and has a heart of gold.

Matthew made the time to listen to my issue patiently and conscientiously before determining that I would be better served by talking to another professional he is familiar with in the field. I have seen other reviews (including of other mental health professionals) where people have been dismayed by this, but I found it to reflect his professionalism. Although it appeared he made a call that I wouldn't be a paying client at this time, he really took the time to listen and assess the relevancy to his work before making his recommendation. At the end of the day, that referral went nowhere (didn't at all return my messages) but Matthew retains my utmost respect as a professional and human being.

But you know what, that really didn't bother me at all! What was truly offensive was the number of times he checked his clock -- which was every time he finished a sentence -- during the 1 hour session I was paying him top dollars for! So I kid you not, he looked at his clock 25+ times...yes, the frequency fascinated me, so I started counting every time he checked his clock hidden in the other corner. Maybe if you see him as a regular therapist and you are able to connect with him then maybe he can be a good therapist for you. For me, I just don't see it.

Her guidance helps me grow and that growth helps me fine tune key interpersonal relationship patterns both in and out of the workplace. I value her ability to combine skill with intuition and have found her to be a natural from day one. Something I appreciate most with Peggy is that she has an open mind and works to hear what I'm saying. I've worked in the Human Resources industry for about nine years now and have seen many life and executive coaches do their work. I've found that it's rare to work with someone who doesn't want to put you in a little box that fits their theory of how things work. Peggy spends the time to see where you're coming from and how she can guide you through your life, as opposed to working out the issues in hers through you. (If you've ever had a bad therapist, you know what I'm saying here) In the time I've been working with her, I've found that when I'm stuck or overwhelmed by an issue I automatically think to talk to Peggy to get her perspective. We all have multiple "mid-life" crises throughout our lives. Having Peggy there to advise me, to help me find me has made a noticeable difference in how I've handled mine. I have in the past and will continue to recommend Peggy to anyone pondering their purpose - at whatever level.
