It is also adequate for children's toys but as simple as you can get. If you want something simple but don't really have much of a target what to buy, you won't spend a lot in here.

The shop itself is not particularly large, but Bargain Buys makes up for this by literally cramming in as much stuff as possible, preventing even light from entering into the shop through its windows. Looking for some plastic chairs? They've got them. Children's toys? They've got them. Learner 'L' plates (for a car or hen do)? They've got them. It's hard to really pin down what they specialise in at Bargain Buys so it's probably best for you to visit here yourself but chances are there'll be something there that catches your eye. Whether you actually need it or not is another question, but everything's so cheap that it doesn't really matter too much.

The inside is spacious and has well laid aisles making it easy to find your way around. I always come here to do a bit of quick shopping usually for food! The workers at the till are fast and efficient in scanning your items and I never have to wait a long time in a big queue unlike some other shops where I've waited ages. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone as you'll tend to bump into something you ought to buy more often than not.

They have mobile pre-pay SIM cards too for most common networks. My Mum once purchased a brush from there for just a couple of pounds. You can't really get anywhere cheaper for these types of items. The owner is always friendly and greets you with a smile. Compared to other discount stores such as Poundland, they don't offer that many products but the products that they do sell, are satisfactory in quality and at the end of the day, you are getting exactly what you pay for. It is one of those shops I'd go to if I don't have time to go into town and I just need a simple item.

It may be billed as the Camden of the north but lacks the international flavour of its London 'counterpart'. There is a small food court but unless you fancy burger, chips, or a kebab you're struggling for choice. It's more greasy spoon than full-flavoured market, something you could never say about Camden. The stalls rarely change, from brick-a-brack to household goods to clothes. Once you've been there's no need to go back for a month or so, but it's worth a visit every now and again.
