I recently underwent allergy testing as I was diagnosed with allergies at 4 however I had 2 anaphylaxis epsiodes with no obvious cause. I found the lab staff very helpful and the price very reasonable, The consultant comment and final report helped in that I discovered an allergy to lupin seed which is a cheap alternative to flour, and provided with a fact sheet which has helped me add to the avoid list. I can't recommend highly enough this laboratory. read more

County Pathology was established in 2006 to provide an independent diagnostic service in the Guildford area. It now has a national reach with customers across the UK. The laboratory is accredited with CPA and the CQC who regularly inspect the laboratory and the way it is run. The majority of testing is done on site but unusual tests can be referred to laboratories around the world.

Bill is a state registered Biomedical Scientist and Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Scientist. He has over 30 years experience in Haematology, Virology, Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Allergy, and Microbiology. He set up the laboratory as he thought there was a need for a high quality private diagnostic service that was responsive to customer needs and offered a wide range of tests on site but could also access laboratory services around the world.

While it specializes in outpatient care, it has almost 600 beds and one of the most successful A&E departments in the country (by that I mean low mortality rates). A lot of the outpatient care here caters for cancer patients. Located right next to Surrey University, the hospital offers training and practice opportunities to some of the students, but also benefits from latest medical research and has some of the most progressive treatments available currently on offer. Constructed sometime in the 70's the hospital building isnt very easy to navigate but it's not big so this usually isnt a problem.
