I spoke about my style as the employee gathered a few styles and we looked as well. She made me feel comfortable and talked me through the different styles. She was respectful and not pushy. I additionally appreciated them having the option to hold on to my dress until I was ready for pick-up months later closer to my dress. It's a beautiful and clean store! At both of my dress appointments, I had an idea of the type of dress I was looking for, but tried on anything that the consultant or those with me pulled for me. I am over the moon happy with my dress, but even more so with the experience at In White. Doing my alterations there was incredibly easy. The team were very accommodating as last minute work travel affected my appointments, and they kept both the dress and veil onsite until I picked it up the day before the wedding. Then I remembered my oldest sister went to Classic Weddings for her dress, so I gave it a shot. First thing I told one of the women that worked there was I just wanted to look around I didn't want to try anything on that day. They were totally fine with that, and they showed me a bunch of dresses I loved it there they were very helpful and not pushy. I really wanted to look like a classic movie star at my wedding, and they showed me so many dresses that could have worked and I tried a bunch on but nothing was really giving me that special feeling that you're supposed to have when you try on THE DRESS. Finally, the one sales woman got the owner to try and help and I told her what I wanted. She said she thinks she knew of a dress that would be perfect for me and what I wanted but, it wouldn't arrive to the shop for a month or two. She showed me a picture it was very 1940's starlet, I loved it I just wasn't sure how I would look in it, so the owner told me she would call me when it came into the shop. The owner called me the day that dress arrived she seemed very excited for me. I went in the next day and tried it on, it was just my size and I looked good in it too! I knew that was the dress, it was exactly what I wanted, I knew I would look like a 1940's movie star walking down the red carpet. The only thing was the price. . .I was in college and only worked as a waitress two nights a week so money was an issue. I went to the bridal shop and tried on that dress like 5 times debating whether or not I wanted to put it on my credit card. The 5th or 6th time I visited Classic Weddings and tried on that dress I was looking at myself in the mirror with it on and the owner came over to me and told me that only one person other than me tried that dress on in the past few months since the dress arrived and told me she's certain that was the wedding dress for me. She sold me the dress off of the rack for about half of the original price!! since it fit me perfectly I only had to pay for very minor alterations a broke college girl's dream! I also bought my undergarment, veil and shoes there as well. I was very pleased with all of the employees at Classic Weddings the owner, the sales women and the seamstresses were all wonderful and made me feel like a beautiful bride. I didn't have a lot of time compared to most wedding timelines so I was in the market for the "off the rack" dress. I must have visited at least 10 places in the Philly area before going with my future mother-in-law in the groom's hometown of Lancaster. Patricia's boutique was my 3rd visit in the area and it was a breath of fresh air! I found a dress that I loved! The problem was that it didn't have the straps which were an absolute requirement for me but luckily Patricia had the vision. She added the most beautiful straps. They were perfectly integrated into the dress. I went to 3-4 fittings and Patricia always worked around my busy schedule. The little touches, like little red accents (my wedding color) really made the dress perfect and I am sure I would not have received that kind of attention to detail at a big bridal store. I had a destination wedding in Madrid, Spain in August 2015. Everything about our wedding day was perfect, including the dress.
