I recently had a meeting with Katherine who greets everyone with a giant smile. If I meet another staff member in the building everyone says hello or asks if I need help. It's fun to go in and really fun to see what kinds of activities and events they do for their residents. They seem to do lots of things for the residents to help them stay cognitively and physically strong--not just do activities to keep them busy. Things like the Cook to Connect class and gardening are so good for them. Loved to see the Intergenerational activities since I know how much they enjoy being around children. The residents seem happy whenever I'm in the building. Definitely a place I'd want my family members to be if they needed care.

I was a resident/patient at Hope Village for about a year and a half and just moved out in June…read more2026. There are many worse facilities. This establishment is clean and the CNA staff is good-but there are not enough of them-ever. A few of the nurses are excellent-many are half baked and not on the ball. There is a TV connected to each bed, however each TV is tuned to a different station-too loud. There is a physical and occupational therapy gym but the PT staff is not the best team. If you need physical therapy, I suggest you make an appointment with ProActice Physical Therapy found about 12 blocks down Ivy Street. ProActive is the A team. Food at Hope Village is basic institutional fare-think what you got in the high school cafeteria. They do make a great carrot soup. Ask for it. Rooms are way crowded with often three beds per small room. So conflicts with room mates are frequent and not resolved well. The facility is so crowded that if there was a fire, earthquake or flood- the residents could not be evacuated fast enough. If I were the Canby fire chief, I would demand fewer patients per room. Hope Village says they conduct fire drills- they are Micky Mouse fire drills. Ask the management when they had a real fire drill, where everyone was removed to a safe place. Sign up for CAT (Canby Area Transit) bus services-excellent little wheelchair transport provider that costs a buck a ride and well worth it. There is a limit to how far CAT will take you outside of Canby. Canby has a good little library and small independent bookstore, The Book Nook- both worth visiting. The CNA staff are good but frequently there are temporary staff. The MD in charge of Hope Village has two other large facilities he oversees. You can depend that he treats the management of Marquis, not you. Keep you own doctor and Hope Village will often follow your MD's directions. Sometimes not. I had to use Providence/Urgent care twice-once for a bladder infection. There are many adult care facilities far worse but that's not saying much. The upper management of Marquis is unaccountable and does not make patient care a priority. They are out for your money. Family and friends should monitor and supervise and your loved one will get better care. Best wishes.

My mother, at age 88, chose to move to SpringRidge because she had lived in Charbonneau for nearly…read more30 years, had friends who liked living there, and could keep playing golf twice a week :) The staff were upbeat, friendly, and caring, including the young people who served the meals. At each meal, choices varied, to appeal to different appetites and palettes. and were presented nicely. My mom enjoyed the activities that were available, from water aerobics, to Bridge and other games, concerts, lectures, and her favorite, the Friday bus excursions to fun destinations with other SpringRidge friends. When larger amounts of family wanted to gather with her there, there always seemed to be a good place for us to meet, and again, the staff could not have been more accommodating and the dining room director was terrific at coming up with catered meals or snacks for our various birthday and reunion celebrations at more than reasonable cost. My mom's 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor was light and cheerful. The patio space meant that after our Mother's Day trip to Al's in Woodburn we could together plant her impatiens and geraniums each May. After several years of independent living and enjoying old and new friendships, mom had the fall we women of a certain age all fear and dread, and broke her hip. Her attempt to recover was made extra difficult by other health issues, and had it not been for the compassionate leadership at SpringRidge, to allow her to return to her apartment with the aid of Trilogy caregivers, she would have spent her last weeks deteriorating alone in a skilled nursing facility. I will be forever grateful to the Director and staff for the compassion shown to me and my brothers as we also assisted with her care. She passed away peacefully in the familiar place where she felt comfortable, respected, and loved. SpringRidge turned out to not just be the place where my mom took up residence, but a loving community where our whole family felt welcome coming and going and relieved that she could live her life out the way she chose in a lovely safe and friendly place. This was all before Covid-19. I really feel for the staff, residents, and related family members with parents at SpringRidge and other similar living groups at this time. It must be so difficult to figure out how to keep things as safe as possible, while allowing people to stay connected with friends and loved ones. For the sake of our elderly, I wish we could do whatever Canada and Europe and Asian countries have done to get our numbers down to end this isolation sooner than later. It seems we are drawing things out by our lack of a national strategy and commitment by all of us citizens to do our part.

They went above and beyond for our mother in their communication with us and care for her. After our mother passed, they offered us their theater room for her celebration of life, accommodating all of our needs for our event making sure the residents were able to attend and all of our friends and family were welcomed. He hosted the lunch today for 23 people who also listened to a presentation by Rob Mill from CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). He told us how to take immediate steps to be prepared for any natural disaster. It was a great day and Alberto and Emerald Gardens made it perfect! Everyone I've encountered at Emerald Gardens is friendly, professional and very helpful--especially Alberto! Thank you so much for all you do for the Senior Center!

More like a thank you letter…read more Probably not the easiest review to write, but necessary to help others dealing with the same circumstances. I have a family member living here and has unfortunately has gone into Hospice care. This week has been very difficult for me and my family to say the least. I do want to say, we've all been very impressed by the professional, compassionate and sometimes thankless work they do daily. It's HARD work. The profession I'm in works hand in hand with housing such as Emerald Gardens. To me, many folks that work at some of these facilities and with Hospice are "angels walking among us" I am reminded that there are wonderful caring people in this world.. Even though our family is hurt and saddened by the loss of a family member, we all feel we were in good hands and more importantly our loved one was in good hands and acknowledged, respected and understood by the staff here, and that, brings some comfort to us. I can't really comment about the food or the activities, but I can say that I see residence laughing and happy and the rooms are warm and clean. Be Well. P.S. auf wiedersehen 2016

My father arrived here two weeks ago for hospice after a nightmare experience at Molalla Manor…read moreafter he was released from Providence Milwaukee. The nursing center was founded by nuns in 1955. The building is lovely with a beautiful garden and chapel, and has such a comforting spiritual energy. The hospice team was kind and helpful. My father who had stage 4 cancer was treated with dignity and respect. He received 1 and 1 care for the entire time he was here. I was comforted that I was allowed to spend time with him every day until he passed away this morning. Every step of the way the staff showed empathy, kindness, and support to me during this process. The chaplain gave my father a lovely blessing this morning and I'm so grateful for her spiritual guidance. It may not be new and fancy like some other places but it has a heart and soul that no other nursing center offers in Oregon. Your loved ones will be well taken care of here. Thank you to Jennifer, Sarah, Caroline, Jill, Jillian, Kristy, Michelle, Danielle, and everyone that touched our lives during this surreal and heartbreaking experience!
