Great little cafe in kasson for breakfast or lunch. Fair pricing and good home cooked meals. Pies and cinnamon rolls are delicious

My wife ordered the walleye and lobster, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I had the filet mignon, cooked exactly the way I like it. And don't skip the sides. Seriously. The bread pudding, au gratin potatoes, and coleslaw are all must‑haves. They're the kind of dishes that remind you why this place has been around for generations. We'll definitely be back. I believe it's the oldest restaurant in Minnesota, and it definitely has that historic charm. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it was a really nice experience. The place is well-kept, and the inside has lots of old photos and antiques, which add to the cool atmosphere. The service was great--everyone was friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was decent. We tried the steak, lobster, salmon, and their famous onion rings. The onion rings were probably the standout, but overall, the food was just okay, especially considering the prices, which are a bit on the high side for the area. Drinks were fine, nothing too special. If you're ever near Rochester or in southern Minnesota, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. The restaurant is worth a visit for the history alone, and the town of Mantorville is super cute with nice people. It's a great little place to explore!
