The location is rather off the main area, obviously since it has a very nicely maintained golf course. The dining hall is big. I can imagine numerous wedding receptions have been held here. We arrived toward to the end of the Thanksgiving lunch hours. I thought most of the delicious looking Thanksgiving delicacies were picked over but they still had enough for more than our group of six. In this southern traditional setting enviroment, I thought my experience, being an Asian alone, would be some what awkward. But to my surprise, I was welcomed by a number of Asian staff members, mostly from the Philippines. Just them being there, comforted my situation. But I didn't know how many knew I was an Asian, except my Filipina waitstaff: Before I ask anyone of their origin of where they are from, I introduce my origin first. Our waiter was a very pleasant and efficient server and when things had gotten slower, she shared how she liked to work in the club and this country. She said, "People are nice here." Go back to the lunch buffet: What I enjoyed the most from the buffet was the ham. It was a chunk of meat. I asked for a fresh slice, the server was willing to cut a new slice, with his smile on his face. He sliced a huge one. Other two meats were good but I liked this lightly sweet, salty. and juicy ham. Make your own salad was became my second favorite of this lunch. I got green salad as the base and julienned carrot. My toppings were fresh crab, and potato salad. The crab was so fresh and flavorful that I wanted to have it over a bowl of Japanese rice, and seasoning with soy sauce. Of course, there were non of that. I could not try one of group's favoritea, baked salmon. I looked light and airy. On the way out, I was siting in the waiting area near the main entrance. I noticed the stand with the list of coming up events: on the top of the list was the weekly even on Saturday - Men's Walk-in Clinic and for ladies on Monday. I thought it was a kind gesture of the club to catering to the Boomers that I saw quite many at this lunch. Some members approached to compliment how much they liked my black silk with velvet polka dots sheer shirt and how I came.

This course is in a very nice neighborhood with a lot of potential, but overall disappointing. I played the back 9 due to the front 9 being closed for aeration (understandable). Majority of tee boxes were below standards with a lot of dirt. Fairways were solid throughout. The greens were very bumpy and mostly in bad shape. I forgot to take pictures of the greens. Again, this course has a lot of potential, just needs some work.

Originally I was looking for Hybrid Iron set, and Hensley put me in the simulator and helped with iron selection and shaft type. After monitoring swing speed, distance, and accuracy we agreed on the Cleveland Halos. He then took a look at my driver and 3 wood. Hensley was not only patient and knowledgeable, he was not high pressure to sell me something I didn't need. He adjusted my driver and we tried out 3 or 4 clubs. Only to decide that what I currently had was the best the option for now. Hensley was very helpful and he is a definite asset to the store. Stop in and ask for Hensley, he will not disappoint.

There is a 9 hole golf course on a lovely stretch of property, a tennis course, a clubhouse, and our favorite, a lovely pool overlooking the picturesque landscape. Everything is very well-maintained, and their member events provide an opportunity to get to know other members of the community and have fun together. They have a full bar, snacks, cart rentals, and light fare is available on the weekends. The club is very family-friendly, and has a kiddie pool alongside the larger pool. There are picnic tables, lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas, and the entire area is fenced in, which makes me feel much safer with my son in tow. The greatest part is probably the staff. David has some of the friendliest employees around, and we never fail to have a great time when we visit.

There was a second putting green next to the first tee for practice while waiting for the people ahead of you. There were wee tees for kids and five other sets of tees. Not very much water on the course but the hills made the course fun. The one negative thing were the bugs, since the course had marsh areas near the course the bugs would constantly swarm you in the cart and on the putting greens. The country club had a nice pro shop and restaurant. The carts were nice, they had a screen for the distance to the hole, speakers with Bluetooth for music, and other information. The carts also had usb charging ports for your phones. Overall the course was in great condition and payed 25 dollars per person for 18 holes with a cart. Would defiantly go back.
