Leabrook Farms is a place I could see from 283 but never really knew how to get there to access it. It's a few miles off State Rd., on Leabrook Rd, and you can't miss it. A storm was brewing that day when I arrived so I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked. Every plant was 50% off, even ones already on sale were not excluded from the sale. They had annuals, perennials, succulents, houseplants, and arrangements. I was in awe. Tables and tables of plants in good condition, small and large + a few greenhouses. I filled a wagon and had I had a larger vehicle would have gotten more. Some of my favorite scores were the succulents, a decent size, all $1 and some change after the discount. I also scored a massive mostera plant for less than $10 that at Lowes for that size sells for $64. In hindsight I wish I would have bought them all for resale and made a few bucks. While many of the plants were labeled, there were many more that were not. Since I'm looking more for low light houseplants, a label identifying the plant and care instructions would have been helpful for many of the items I bought. The plain (Mennonite) employee there said they came from an auction and she didn't have any information. Also some of the prearranged plants in ceramic containers had chips, and or appeared to be used, like they picked them up at a thrift store. Not that I'm opposed to that, but some weren't in the best of shape. I made it out right before the storm, barely, with a car full of plants in tow. I would visit them again even at full price, but most definitely at their 50% sale. Since they are plain owned and operated no Sunday hours.

I called the nursery last week to check on the shipping status and spoke with Jennifer, who couldn't have been any nicer. She updated me on the shipping status (delayed due to frost and freeze advisories/warnings) and let me know the plants should ship in the next day or two. The next day (Thursday) I received the shipment notification and the plants arrived Saturday. They were packaged beautifully in plant boxes. The plants arrived intact and well protected. They are starting to leaf out already and are beautiful. Thank you to Tim and Jennifer for their excellent customer service and for their care in packaging and shipping these plants! I wanted to order more but they are sold out! I'll definitely be ordering again in the future!

Fry's Greenhouse is one of those places that I end up coming back to every single season if you're…read moreinto plants at all, it's a must. We stopped in early April (which is still pretty early), and they already had a ton to choose from. I was on a mission for mint because apparently I need every variation that exists and they had several kinds in stock. The one I was looking for specifically wasn't in yet, but they were super helpful and said it should be coming in later. Even this early in the season, the selection was solid: flowers, herbs, succulents, pre-made planters, and even little terrarium setups. And if you've been here before, you already know... it only gets better as the season ramps up. Peak planting season here is next level. One of my favorite parts is walking in and seeing their little water garden setup it's such a calming, "okay I'm about to spend money" moment. The whole place just feels like a reset. Prices are about average not cheap, but you're also not getting junk. Everything looks healthy, well cared for, and worth it. Overall: 5/5. If you garden, even a little, this place will get you.

Searched garden stores open late on a Friday and Conestoga Valley Greenhouse popped up. Navigated to a farm, with another smaller road that took us to the greenhouse area (follow the signs). There were multiple greenhouses and areas with lots and lots of plants. We checked out the vegetable plant greenhouse and there was so much to choose from! Lots of varieties. I was able to find the pepper plants my mom wanted at such an amazingly low price. The girl working the cashier was pleasant and provided a box to carry them all. Next time I come back, I will stock up on other types of plants too. What a great find!
