Crows, ravens, herons, geese, eagles, chickadees, junkos, sparrows, swallows, and the list goes on and on. Binoculars and/or zoom lenses for your camera - put those on your list of things to bring. Two main areas - drive in and walk in/boat in campsites. Marina available if you arrive by water. Boat launch for small to midsize craft. All the usual camping facilities: outhouses, fresh water supply (faucet, no hookups), secure garbage. Beach and grassy area are popular with the locals. Site fills with the sounds of delighted children and their families, laughing and playing during the evenings and weekends. Decent trails around Grey's Point. Many kilometers of rocky beach to access during low tides. All manner of interesting sea life living in the small pools that remain as the waterline drops. This was the site of a Native marine village for many many years, some time ago and has evidence of this in the sand and earth dunes that are exposing many years of reliance on the ocean as the layers of discarded shells are crumbling and falling back upon the shore as part of it. It is asked that you respect this as an important site and not disturb these areas. This place is pure magic.
