I fell in love with the beautiful classrooms and the educational philosophy. But the reality is that the administration makes it a miserable environment for teachers and parents, and therefor children as well. I had prepared my child mentally for attending CCG for over a year during the pandemic, and we were the schools biggest fans. If someone had told me somethin negative about the school, I would not have listened and would want to believe that it was a wonderful place. A place cannot be good for children if it treats children with disregard and families are met with hostility. There's nothing I can do to take back the immense stress that was caused to my family and child. Please look elsewhere, save your family the stress. I too read a bad review, but wanted to believe it was just one disgruntled person. It is not worth putting your child in the hands of an act. Go to the Groton Community School instead, or a small intimate daycare in a neighboring town, or get a nanny. Anything else but CCG.

They provide constructive feedback on progress, strengths and weaknesses, and areas of improvement. They work with us to ensure consistency between home and school. I love how the teachers rotate activities and the dramatic play areas throughout the month to match holidays, seasons, etc. Our son is still talking about the play teepee and Thanksgiving-themed dress up. Most of all, we appreciate how the teachers work with the kids' energy and direct them towards the activities that suit their personality and learning style best, rather than stifling it. As well as ensuring sufficient outside play time for the kids. Our only complaint is that we did not make the switch to ACS sooner.

Completely opposite experience with my son. Due to high staff turnover, my son was not able to receive the care and support that my daughter did. After a dozen evaluations recommended by leadership, my son was not diagnosed with any developmental deficiencies or behavioral problems and did not qualify for special needs or IEP programs. The frequency that I was contacted to complain about my son doing things that are age appropriate (bathroom accidents, sensory processing, not sitting still during circle time, etc) was astoundingly unnecessary, we chose to place him in a different childcare center as there is a pattern of toddler boys being terminated for similar and worse reasons.

I am very surprised to see some of the negative reviews about Littleton TLC on here, had I seen…read morethem before my wife and I chose the center a year and a half ago wen we moved out here from Charlestown, we probably would have stayed away. Thankfully we didn't read them as most of them are wholly inconsistent with our experience. It may obviously be the product of new management and the new director Tina (the only one we've known). We started our now three year old daughter at TLC in March of 2013, she had previously only been cared for by a family member, so she was a bit shy at first, and was used to one on one attention. She adjusted very quickly with the help especially of her first teacher at TLC Ms. Theresa. We were very, very impressed with Theresa and found her to be extremely professional and caring. Our daughter really came out of her shell with Theresa's class and has made some friends that have followed with her to the twaddlers, Preppers and now the preschool program. Her growth in the Preppers class really accelerated and we were again very pleased with her teachers. Ms. Laura was really great at helping her improve her listening skills and with the transition out of diapers. It is too early for us to fully evaluate the preschool class but I can say our daughter is happy there and seems to be learning a lot. From top to bottom we have been pleased. There have been some departures, but I feel that the main classroom teachers have been consistent making for consistency in the curriculum and understanding of each child. Tina is always aware of what is going on, and I really believe she's built a great and improving team. Even the fill-in teacher Ms. Paula seems to really know our little girl and is wonderful. I hope that those that are concerned with the reviews from the time under prior management will not dismiss TLC out of hand, because we have been very pleased and feel our child is safe, engaged and happy there. That a credit to changes that were made, and I see no slip back into the ways described by others.

The only reason we left, is because with the help of Acorn preparing her, she was accepted into the public Pre-K in our home town, (no IEP even, because of how well she interacts with kids and teachers alike, and how much shes learned). Best part- Acorn is nut free. My kiddo has a peanut allergy, like a lot of kids these days. And they are very good about checking everyone, and providing only snacks that adhere to your kids needs. We were apprehensive about sending him to daycare, but it was immediately clear that he was in a safe, loving environment. Everyone on the team was genuinely happy to see him each day. They showed interest in the things that were important to him and incorporated his interests into his learning and development. From a logistics standpoint, staff were communicative, responsive, and attentive. The team handled our child's multiple food allergies professionally and confidently. We received detailed, personal updates daily. Even teachers and staff that weren't in his classroom knew our child and supported his growth and learning. They were flexible and supportive when we needed to change his schedule for several months to accommodate a family emergency, and were open to amenable to our preferences with big milestones (e.g., potty training). I'm not the type to write reviews, but I couldn't let my child leave Acorn without offering the kind of input I wish I'd had when we were first researching daycare options. Highly recommend this lovely team.
