Farmers Union Lumber, also knows as Williston Home and Lumber is a great place to go. I go here when I need some quick lumber or hardware and don't want to hassle of crowds or dealing with other customers LOL. This place is medium sized, but packs a decent selection of tools, hardware, lumber, plumbing/electric stuff. I highly recommend you check it out.

Upon arriving a few years ago..my T-Mobile service needed to be retired. At that time, there was no Verizon retailer (you know, the one in front of Wal-Mart)...and Wal-Mart itself didn't offer Verizon yet either. It was order online or venture into the "local" retailers. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with Kotana. The ladies who helped me open up a new Verizon account and get a new iPhone were so great to deal with! Because I wanted the new iPhone 5, it needed to be ordered. They were so professional and fast and notified me right away when my phone came in. I didn't have a single problem with Kotana and given my length of time in Williston..this was a very welcome change!

That being said, Maurices might not be everyone's style, but it surely doesn't fall in the above categories. I find myself only able to shop in a certain corner of the store...the less-country-hick-corner. You will usually find a helpful staff and a handful of things you want to take home...which BELIEVE ME when I say that's a huge upgrade in this town. Street-parking can be limited and the hours aren't especially liberal..but any business downtown doesn't believe in over-extending themselves for anyone...specifically customers.
