They apparently didn't have much experience serving because we had to make lots of requests for tea, chips,ice, napkins..... Well..... food finally arrived. And uh..... for the prices I thought we'd be getting some really great food. I was wrong. Food looked and tasted old, over cooked and just plain sad and neglected. Definitely would not recommend this place. Service was horrible, waited exactly 45 minutes before our food came out, no complimentary chips(only hot sauce). It will be a very long while before returning. Hopefully by then new management with plenty of staff. Don't remember the last time we left without tipping our waitress. Pretty dang good! Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Got seated right away, they have plenty of tables. It's got a casual country feel to it. Very cute and quaint with lots of charm. I got the migas, eggs and chorizo. It comes with a HUGE flour tortilla that is home made (so are the corn). I would get it again, it was nice and crispy and eggs and chorizo cooked well. The breakfast here is amazing! But the reason for the 2 stars is there lunch. I ordered a sombrero which is supposed to come topped with cheese and it didn't and also the chicken was a bit dry. I had the plate to go and they brought it out with the plate sideways inside the plastic bag as if they really didn't care that my food went all over the place which it was. I didn't call and complain cause I see it pointless. I love to support local restaurants during the pandemic but hard when I get a plate like this. read more

What a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!! We decided to try this little cafe because it seems as though it may have potential for some good meals. Boy, was I completely wrong. We've done at this cafe twice. Our first experience was rather underwhelming and we thought maybe it it was just us. The meals were so-so, nothing that would make it stand out. I ordered huevos rancheros and the sauce, basically all tomato, was way too runny. On our second attempt to eat there sealed the deal that this is one establishment that we were not going to frequent again. Once again I ordered huevos rancheros but this time I asked for the salsa on the side. The waitress responded that they couldn't do that. I asked why and she said it was because the cooks were barely learning. WHAT??? WTF does that even mean. That is one thing you never utter to a customer that about to eat the food you are cooking!! Instead the waitress wanted me to completely change my order. Instead I just ordered a breakfast taco. I was still perturbed about what the waitress excuse was concerning my huevos rancheros when out unsweetened tea was brought to out table. When I tasted it, the tea tasted old. We asked if the tea was made today because it tasted old. Without hesitation, the waitress replied "it was made yesterday." We looked at her and asked for new tea. She stepped away and spoke to the manager for a brief moment. When she returned to our tables she said "The manager want to know if you want something else to drink? WHAT!!?? You just told us the tea is old and even though we questioned you about it and you verified it was old, you want us to order another drink rather than brewing fresh tea!!?? That asinine question sealed the deal and we walked out. read more

When it comes to the food was quite cold when the waitress brought it to my table, maybe it was a busy day but 3 waitress asked me several times what was what I ordered , they need more coordination. Delicious food, with a home-cooked taste. Of particular greatness are the huevos ranchers, which come in a wonderful salsa picante. One thing I didn't like was the numerous television screens playing movies. If me and my family want to watch tv, we will do it at home, not when we go out to eat. read more

We had been going to get breakfast here for a couple of years now, and service has never been out of this world bad and since the food was good we would let it slide. However, for a couple of months now the service quality has decreased BIG time and today was the last of it. First, when I asked to get us a table cleaned to eat the lady just placed the plates on the table next to it, and left all the breadcrumbs on so I had to clean it myself. Then we asked for chips and was told that they ran out, we were informed food could take around 30 mins to be served due to all the people eating, however the people that was there by the time the 30 mins was up they had been long gone. Then, a family after us came in after 40 mins of us been there, and they not only got one basket of chips, they got 2! Another man that had arrived before them did not get chips, but did get his food first, we were told that it was because he only ordered eggs, but the problem is we were only a table of 3, that had also just ordered eggs. And after an hour of us been there, the food arrived and it looked like it was just thrown there and even a bit warm, glad at least it was not cold but definitely did not feel hot/warm as if it was just made fresh and by then there were only 4 tables with people there besides us in which only one had arrived before us! Terrible, unfortunately we will never go back, which is such a shame because the food was usually decent. read more

I decided to give this place a try for breakfast before heading out of the valley. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the building and the decor. It is setup very nicely. I ordered the 2-2-2 special, which consists of 2 strips of bacon, 2 eggs, and 2 pancakes. The food was good as was the service. Wow! First time here today! Only a few people dining in, guess it's slow during the lunch hours. They have breakfast all day! I ordered the chilaquiles con pollo and holy shizzz! they serve it in the pan its cooked in, side of beans and potatos! Had to take the rest home! Super delicious! They should really hire more cooks. Restaurant cant seem to keep up with their business. My family went in for two breakfast plates and a pancake. It took over an hour to get our food. Tables that had been dirty when we got there, cleaned, then seated with other people got their food before we did. Don't visit unless you had a meal to hold you off beforehand. read more

Poor service, the chorizo was not well done like requested. Waitress had an attitude. Cashier was clueless. We ordered two specials which included coffee but was charged for a coffee. Cashier went back to verify whoever was back there took a long time to come and explain. There were only two other tables being serviced. By far the worst advertised Cafe, Waitress told me chicken fried steak was homemade, it was a frozen chicken fried steak. Ordered 2 waters and got charged for the waters, when ordered my chicken fried steak you cannot substitute your sides your forced to eat the sides that are provided if wanted another side you will be charged. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident on a Sunday morning, but before getting there we stopped at Starbucks for a protein coffee. When we arrived to the Country Cafe, they sat us and then said they did not allow outside drinks. We were near to finished with our drinks, but they told us we had to leave. Why would any restaurant refuse service to a customer because of 2 $3.00 coffees? I asked one of the staff what was the reason, and with an incredibly rude tone responded, "because it says it on the door" We usually spend $25-30 or so on breakfast but we decided to take our money elsewhere. It's really unfathomable that this restaurant would be so petty and let 2 customers leave because of 2 drinks, which btw we planned to consume drinks in the restaurant as well. However I wouldn't go back either way because when you go inside they let you pick where to sit. So we were looking for a booth, and every single one was filthy with unwashed plates and food that hadn't been picked up after the customers left. It was disgusting. read more

From the waitress walking away because a person changed their mind on what they wanted to eat- he asked for a steak and waitress NEVER once asked how he wanted it cooked. I asked if I could have double veggies to sub for potato her answer was 'it can't be done'. She served a table of four next to us and another table with two, refilling their drinks when I had already asked for some limes all the time my glass of water was half empty. She completely ignored our table and didn't mention that our food would be out shortly since the table of four ordered after us then served first- we were only two. My food was lukewarm and came with tortillas in which she never brought. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed and will never return. Food is good however service is everything. read more
