Very knowledgeable, very friendly and not overbearing at all. Perfect service. I have recently lost weight and she knew my size when I didn't just from looking at me. I wanted to go with a black shirt and she suggested I also try white, brought me both, and she was correct when I put them on. I wanted something dressy but also comfortable and they had a selection of great fabrics that are both. The trousers I purchased look and feel like wool but are stretchy and breathable. I budgeted for double the price from Outlooks but ended up paying half with better clothes from here. Will be returning!

I've been here a half dozen times with my daughters and never once has an employee help find a size a style etc. I have to take the clothing and pull down sizes from upper racks.. As I was checking out, there was a rack of new incoming clothes behind the cashier I asked if there was a size small in one of the pieces, the cashier said yes there is & rang it up for me. When I got home, I found that the store tag on the clothing was a size small but the tag on the piece was a size large. The store is about 30-45 minutes from my home so I just ended up keeping the unusable size because the return policy has such a limited time for return. I wasn't able to schedule the 1 1/2 hour round trip in time & it wasn't worth the gas.. Overall I like the store & clothing but they really need to work on their customer service.

Large store on the first level of the mall. I came in because I was a little underdressed for the rainy weather when I was visiting for the day. My hoodie was wet and so I needed something additional to cover up. Visited The Bay, but was disappointed by their selection and pricing. Found a good selection of jackets and hoodies at Urban Planet. They even had a promotion which essentially amounted to a buy one get one free event. Actually like Urban Planet even though I have read online that the clothing materials are not the best. The pricing here is reasonable which allows you to choose different styles to change up your wardrobe.

To my huge surprise, this store impressed as soon as I stepped in. Very bright and stylish and at the same time inviting and comfy. You can see the store owners put a lot of work and love in this place. In addition to the store design, I was taken aback with the clothes selection and how it's tastefully organized on the rack and the shelves. Kudos to Natalie and Maria! And what a service! These girls treated me as VIP and for this short period of time I was given some beautiful choices for outfits and also the style that would suite me the best. It's definitely not your ordinary store. I'll be back for more shopping! Christina

This particular location of Roots is my favorite and the only one that I've given 5 stars. The size…read moreof this Roots is comparable with some other Roots locations but they are the most well stocked Roots location with clothing in my sizes, and it was at this location that I discovered Yoga Jeans! :) Roots is one of my favorite clothing stores ever. The Roots clothing style is very classy, but comfortable and still somewhat stylish. They also draw a lot of inspiration for their women's clothing from yoga, and I love yoga so maybe that explains it. Their sweaters and wraps are beautiful and I've found the best yoga jeans here (separate brand but I haven't found many places that carry them). They also make quality leather goods, and have neat country and hockey clothing lines. It's a good thing that there's no stores in the States or I would be broke. But, it's also a shame that there aren't more stores in the States because of the sales and provincial taxes in Canada, but here's to supporting Canadians through my addiction to Roots! ;)

My boyfriend doesn't often shop for casual clothes so it was a nice treat for him to get such attentive customer service. The gentleman working was happy to give feedback and picked out some nice pieces while speaking about the quality of items they bring in. Most of the items are either made local or sweatshop free in the USA. This is the kind of quality I want to spend money on and is generally a deciding factor when I make any purchase. I also wanted to speak about the simplicity of the decor and layout of the shop. Great merchandising as it really draws the eye in. They also sell some quality accessories including footwear, bags, ties and sunglasses. We will certainly be back when we visit the island again.

During a short visit to Duncan for Father's Day, I was excited to spend quality time with my Dad and treat him to some new clothes. We searched for menswear options and Outlooks came up first, so we headed there full of enthusiasm and ready to shop. We walked in smiling and ready for a great experience. I introduced my Father and explained we were looking to outfit him with some new pieces. The saleswoman took one look at him and flatly said, "We have nothing for him." No effort. No conversation. No alternative suggestions. Just a dismissive brush-off and out the door we went--feeling dejected and frankly, unwelcome. Thankfully, just two doors down was Jim's Clothes Closet. Not only did they greet us warmly, but their amazing team, especially CoCo, helped my Dad find pants in the exact size the Outlook's employee insisted wouldn't fit him. On top of that, he left with shirts, belts, a hat, and a great vest--plus a smile on his face. Outlooks Menswear gave us the worst customer service experience I've had in years. If you value your time, your money, and being treated like a human being, keep walking right past this place.
