If you have an issue - which I did - they don't want to deal with you. I was shouted at and pretty much called inept as John believed there was nothing wrong with the machine. And when I said then that I just wanted to return it and get my money back, John shouted that "all sales are final and no returns." (He failed to mention that at point of sale.). He even at one point shouted "I'll see you in court." It was a horrible experience! However, when I went to another dealer and she looked at the stitches - without the yelling and arm waving - agreed that the bobbin tension was off. She then proceeded to show me how to adjust the tension, plus clean and oil my machine - because I will never go back to John even for the first year free cleaning. If he can't see a minor issue and treated me this way, why would I trust him with something else? Buyer beware! (I would prefer to give a Zero rating but the system requires at least a one.)

We have found some wonderful fabrics at Anatols' for both the kichen and dining room chairs…read more We first found Lazarof Upholstery Solutions, in Ballwin / Chesterfield, and he recommended we visit Anatols, as they have a fantastically large showroom of so many fabrics. Anatol's is located off Hanley, just a couple minutes south of 40/64, so it's a quick drive from most any part of town... and it's very worth the drive. Depending on your mindset when you arrive, prepare to possibly be overwhelmed by the number of fabric options they present. Beyond indoors/outdoors, they have most anything your can imagine... and you just need to work together with your better half to get to some final options and then pick your final selection. I went to several stores trying to match an unusual blue green fabric for a quilt. In every store there was nothing, and the store employees told me that's going to be a hard one to match. I already knew that. However, as I was looking at the blue green solids at Specialty Quilts, and was still unable to find one that matched, one of the great ladies came up and said they could custom order just about anything. She pulled out a Bella color card, with actual fabric samples, not just printed colors. After we found one, she was even so kind as to take it to the door so we could check the color match in sunlight. Their hours to make it difficult for me to get there, except on Saturdays, but it is totally worth it, and worth the drive. They also have tons of quilts everywhere, to get ideas, and see the fabrics in use. The store is full and has lots of patterns, notions, and also an amazing amount of fabric. Of course. :-)

Half yards are pre-cut for many of the bolt fabrics for quicker shopping. Batiks run around $12.40/yard. Others between $11.40-$12.00. Don't be deterred by this being upstairs since there's an elevator.
