Love this store and company! They specialize in cloth diapers and keep many styles and varieties in stock. They also offer cloth diaper classes and groups. They carry great brands like Aden and Anais, SkipHop, Kickee Pants, etc. They recently moved locations from town and country to Fenton (where their warehouse is). Pros: much closer to me, can find whatever you need immediately from warehouse but cons are that the location is hard to find and get in and out of. My kids love to play here! Even though the location has changed, the customer service hasn't. If anything, the service has gotten better because of their access to all the products that are listed online at Cottonbabies.com. They are a specialty baby store with so much cute stuff that you can't really find anywhere else. They really shine as cloth diaper educators! In Cotton Babies brands alone, there are at least 6 different styles of cloth diapers to choose from. You'll leave knowing how to use each style and how easy it is to wash at home! Definitely call ahead before coming in for Cloth 101 or Babywearing 101 if you are counting on a one-on-one guided tutorial. They have so. many. baby carriers. This is a follow up to the one star review I left yesterday. Apparently it does help a disgruntled customer to leave a scathing review because I woke up this morning to an email with a lengthy explanation as to why my order had not been filled. I ordered $300 worth of diapers on May 12th and have not received any information in regard to the shipment or delivery of the order. The company said that the shipment of supplies was delayed and I should get them by the end of July or early August. I emailed them this week 8/15 and asked where my order was and that I clearly wanted a refund. They have yet to email me back or refund my money. SCAM! Absolutely ridiculous. THEFT! read more

Cotton Babies is awesome! I shopped there over Christmas and Melissa helped me. She was great! She was very knowledgeable when it came to the products, super kind and fun! She made my shopping experience easy! My wife just had our seventh child just before Christmas. It is nice that the staff at Cotton Babies know about the different types of car seats, carriers and cloth diapers. What might've been challenging for me was made simple because of the great staff at Cotton Babies! Thanks for all of your help! An update to my recent review. After letting Cotton Babies know that we were disappointed in their service and were taking our business elsewhere, they wrote us one last email on 11/18 to state that they would forward all information to our bank to move our disputed charge along. That's the last we heard from Cotton Babies until today (11/29) when we received a package in the mail with our complete order. The postage and packing slip inside were both dated 11/24 so I guess that, after all of the back-and-forth, Cotton Babies decided to re-ship our order. As you can imagine, we were quite surprised given that the last thing they told us was that they would not fill the order due to us disputing the charge and that they would forward all info to our bank! Lack of communication continues to dog Cotton Babies. We do appreciate that they fulfilled the order but wow, what a mess. It really is amazing how clear and consistent communication can solve problems, something Cotton Babies obviously does not realize. Anyways, we have canceled the disputed charge with our bank since we actually received our items and, while Cotton Babies did eventually come through with our order, I don't think we'll do business with them again. read more

You guys, I have quite a few other cloth diapering momma friends around the country who literally drool when I tell them I can drive to the Cotton Babies store for all my cloth diapering needs. That's not to say they haven't been satisfied with their web experiences or the customer service they receive over the phone; they are satisfied. They're just in awe that I can actually visit this Mecca of Cloth Diapering. I was completely shocked to read the only other review of this (the newer) Cotton Babies store because the reviewer's experience was so vastly different than my own. Now, in all fairness, that review was written almost a year ago and I'm fairly certain the store in Town & Country was a fledgling at the time, but I still felt compelled to add my two cents (which is saying something; I haven't written a new review in AGES). When my husband, toddler and I arrived at Cotton Babies this evening, we were greeted immediately and asked if there was anything in particular we were looking for (more cloth diapers for Baby #2, due in a few weeks). While one staff member directed my husband and me to the dizzying array of diapers available, another kind staffer showed my son to the play area--cozy couches for resting or breastfeeding, a colorful rug and plenty of cool toys to keep the kiddos busy (my son was especially fond of the wooden construction vehicles and tried to convince us to buy them on our way out). As for the rest of the store, it's really quite lovely--spacious, well-organized, gorgeous and filled with so many wonderful things: the aforementioned cloth diapers of all kinds (we use BumGenius, if you're looking for a particular recommendation), super adorable baby and kids' clothes, a variety of potty training items (from potties to washable, reusable pull-ups), feeding items, a ton of breastfeeding stuff (a HUGE selection of Bravado bras, nursing tanks and covers, creams and teas), baby wraps and carriers and a toy section with such cool stuff, my husband actually asked for one of the items for his upcoming 33rd birthday. For realz. Great selection of well-made wooden toys with natural dyes and recycled plastic toys (these trucks can really take a beating and remain in great shape; we know from experience). I had a really, really hard time restraining myself from buying a bunch of cool stuff while at Cotton Babies, but I stuck to my guns. We left with 12 new cloth diapers for our little one on the way--and a list of items I know I'll be back for when birthdays and Christmas roll around. Dang, those toys were cool! I'm really happy Cotton Babies opened the store in Town & Country, as it's a lot easier for me to get to than the South County location--and I'm super excited that St. Louisans have such a great cloth diapering resource right here at home! read more

This is a great cloth diaper specialty store with wonderful customer service. They have TONS of other items too, like baby carriers, clothes, and must-have items for eco-conscious families. The one downfall for me is the tax. You can order everything they carry in the store (and more) online for no tax and free shipping. We walked into Cotton Babies in search of some unisex socks for when our little guy or gal comes later this month. I was immediately disappointed with the lack of selection here, but honestly I didn't know what kind of place I was going into to start with. We learned about this store while searching for newborn CPR classes, as they are offered at this location. At the time we were interested in the classes, and didn't bother to look into the store itself. Anyway, we happened to see the store as we were driving by and decided to stop in. If you are looking for something trendy, like glass bottles, cloth diapers, or some organic cotton based clothing, and similar toys and accessories, this is worth the stop. If you are looking for a large selection of anything, you might want to save this place for a rainy day shopping trip. There just isn't much for the every day buyer here. There isn't anything wrong with this, it just is what it is. Now, selection aside, there is one thing this place has that a lot of places do not, and that is service. The wonderful ladies working were extremely helpful. In fact, they were so helpful, that they not only got online and looked up locations of other baby stores that could help us out in our search for socks and a pair of newborn pants, but they even got on the phone and did the talking in an attempt to help us find the exact items we were looking for. While my wife and I waited, I noticed a sleeper outfit that I thought would work as an alternative to our planned take home outfit. We had been looking for pants and socks in case the onesy we had picked out wasn't warm enough for take home day. We were just going to add socks and pants to the outfit. However, after going the extra mile and really blowing us away with their customer service, I spoke up and asked if this sleeper I had found would work underneath the onesy, which led to even more great advice about overheating baby and any concerns we might have with layering. In the end, we decided if it were cool enough to need pants and socks, that layering wouldn't be much of a concern, and we ended up buying the sleeper outfit instead of going somewhere else. This is the first time in a long time that I have been so immediately set on leaving without making a purchase, and had the customer service be so good that I wanted to buy something even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted. It was a great experience and now that I know what to expect in terms of selection, Cotton Babies will be the first in my mind when looking for the types of products they carry! read more

took the cloth 101 class here with ??. I was the only one there and even tho it was her first time teaching the class she did an amazing job answering all my questions and filling in the blanks on things i didn't know. Having watched dozens of youtube videos about cloth diapering, I knew just enough to be confused about the dozens of sizes, options, folds, materials, etc. The class was organized in a way to make sense of it all as well as give pros and cons of all the various options. Bonus: The $10 fee for the class can be applied towards a purchase in the store so essentially all this good cloth diaper knowledge is free! read more

I haven't been in the store, but I have been corresponding with a customer service representative through e-mail after a purchase I made online. I WILL NEVER SHOP COTTON BABIES EVER AGAIN. I ordered daytime and nighttime organic flip diaper inserts. They came with no original packaging - just thrown into a USPS bag. They are also NOT what I ordered. The tag clearly states 100% cotton - not 100% organic cotton. The other flip inserts I have state 100% organic cotton CLEARLY on the tag. When I bring this up to customer service through e-mail (SINCE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE) they tell me that they remove the original packaging to reduce waste and that the inserts are definitely organic cotton but the tags just so happen to be a misprint. REALLY? So you thew away my original packaging BEFORE I had a chance to throw it away at my own home (not sure how this is reducing waste) and the tags happen to be a misprint. Seems like they are trying to pawn off the NON organic inserts as organic and threw away the packaging hoping I wouldn't notice. According to customer service, even with all these issues, if I want to return them I have to PAY to ship back. So I paid for these items to be shipped to me, and now I have to pay to return them when they ARE NOT WHAT I ORDERED. If this is not an OBVIOUS LIE I don't know what is. I have never written a negative review before in my life. But I will be finding every possible platform to warn people about this company. This city girl drove all the way to T&C to check out this store & learn more about cloth diapers...and it was 100% worth it. The store associate that helped me spent probably a good half hour talking through the different types of cloth diapers they carry and the differences/benefits of the various types...which was exactly what I was hoping for. Still not sure if we'll go the cloth diaper route, but I feel a lot more educated now. Bonus points for having such a family friendly atmosphere (even the staff bring their kids to work!). read more

I've only shopped here once, but wanted to warn others of the horrible customer service I received at Cotton Babies. I purchased a water bottle with a defective straw (so water was not coming out of the straw when I sipped from it). I emailed them asking for an exchange, and they replied back with a trick I should try to get the straw to work. Okay, fair enough. I tried their suggestion, and politely replied back to them that it didn't make a difference in the way the water bottle worked. I asked for a refund, and they stopped responding to me altogether. Giving them benefit of the doubt, I assumed they were busy and wrote back three more times, asking for a refund. I never heard anything back from this company. I am now fighting the charge with my credit card company for the product I received that was literally broken upon arrival. I even wrote them an email before writing this review-- to tell them I was going to have to leave reviews of my experience online, if I didn't hear back from them-- and no response. Spend your money elsewhere; the customer service at Cotton Babies is horrible. read more

OK this review is coming from soneone who raised 3 kids and has not had much experience in a "baby" store in a while. I have a friend who is very into organic and I needed 2 gifts for her. I had heard that Cotton Babies was the store. With Fall right around the corner I had in mind I would purchase two outfits for the upcoming season. This store doesn't really sell alot of clothes, they sell the new cloth diaper. I didn't know that goin in, but I can tell you they did not have one fall item on a rack or shelf. Everything was pastel and summer, and the help was really not there, you would think she could make some suggestions which was not the case. After going all the way to the back of the store behind a shelf, I spied a "sale"[ section (very small) and what do I find but an adorable little long dress with long sleeves...on sale! So I proceeded to look harder and did end up with two outfits I think will be very cute, but I am telling you I amlost walked out empty handed. read more

I went to their warehouse to give a suggestion. I also wanted to thank them . I'm glad I did they were completely hateful to me. They acted like their office was a military installation and didn't even ask me to come in. I literally had to stand at the door and talk only to the secretary. This lady treated me like dirt. Upon further investigation I noticed they had several claims with the BBB . I'm discontinuing use of any of their products. I talked to some of my friends and they agreed not to use cotton babies products also. read more
