This franchise location is great. This area has a wide variety of customers who add to the overall diversity of selections. There are swim suits, costumes, dance items, and sports gear all year round. There is a lot of main brands and high end options offered here. The prices are always great and they do a lot of sales like $1 sleepers or half off toys. I appreciate they buy all types of kid and baby items all year round. The staff is young but they really hustle getting everything sorted, priced, and sold. This location is accessible but reaching high shelves or bending down low for clothes could be an issue for those in a mobility chair. I recommend going at a less busy time to have a personal shopper with you. read more

I get there and they tell me it's a 1 bin limit on clothes. So now I have to drive home 30 mins and wasted an hour of my time. I bought a crib. Only one sweet young girl helped me. I am almost 8 months pregnant. No help taking crib apart or carrying to truck. Husband came to help load it in truck. We had to carry it out without being able to take it apart. We had to carry a very heavy crib out the push doors and only the same sweet girl helped us. No other employee stopped to help. My back is sore and nerves are tingling. After I bought crib I was told to just stand by it until my husband who lives 45 minutes away came "so no one else takes it". No sold sign to put on crib. Not happy about the lack of help especially helping a pregnant woman. I use to work at a once upon a child in south county mo when I was younger with my sisters and we stopped to help woman carry items to their car and helped take items apart especially if they were pregnant! read more

This is the better location for the franchise. The store is always clean, customers are greeted promptly, and the registers are wellstaffed. I love this place for infant clothes, basically trade in almost new clothes for the next size up after a few weeks. The clothes are typically in good condition, often with tags, but it bears checking to see what the brand is before buying. As in any thrift or resale, sometimes an item is a steal, sometimes not. Also, this location has lots more gear than the Bridgeton location, so keep that in mind when planning a trip. read more

This location is super unorganized. Sized mixed up and not many options. Floors were super gross. Employees were not helpful, pretty rude during check out and openly bad mouthing managers/owners (?). It is worth it to drive further to a different location. read more

Within the last 6 months they have increased their prices significantly without increasing what they pay you for donations. Example: a brand new SHEIN dress is online for less than $5. They have it for $6.50. When asked about their pricing they were unclear and simply said they do not price match. Bummer. Used to be worth the visit but now you might as well buy brand new. I recently worked for this company, as they are highly promoting that they are hiring all hours(full time/part time, yet my first 2-3 weeks I was sent home due to it being slow/labor) before starting the job I was told they do a several week training so you get plenty of training on each skill you needed to learn. But once I started this was quickly seen to be a lie, everyday I was learning something different without more than being shown and maybe 10 minutes before being told to do something else or stay on register. Which was another issue, you are repeatedly told everyone does every job from buys, register, hanging, tagging, sorting, whatever else needed to be done but most management does not touch the register. They will see a customer and then tell someone else to handle it while doing a task as if everyone doing a task isn't as important as the other but they stress being fast as possible(as you are timed repeatedly) even before your training has been completed or truly started on some things. The week before I quit/found a new place of employment that Friday was a bad storm and Manchester had multiple lights down(I left 45 minutes early to arrive) but was still 5 minutes late and as I pulled in to park Iot was already being called and I was telling then I was walking in which made me later due to my phone being connected to my car(it would of hung up). The next day I am wrote up over the said 5 minutes and told a minute late is a minute late, while I do understand this and punctuality some thing are out of our control as people and I wasn't going to get my phone out while in traffic/driving it's not only illegal but not worth possibly my life over 5 minutes. A week goes by and no issues but that Saturday I work til the last hour of my shift where I was then told labor was low and to go home so I did. Next morning without any communication from the store managers or assistants my entire schedule was removed. When contacted through text to make sure this wasn't a technology error(as this schedule was just posted friday) I was ignored. I then 2 hours before my shift was suppose to be I called the store where I was told Saturday had an issue but Chelsea the store manager wasn't aware of what the issue was and needed to talk to the management team from Saturday who hadn't addressed any issues bout Saturday to me(as there were 3 managers there). I was told she would call me back in a few minutes where I waited 3 hours for a text saying I wasn't meeting there expectations and I had some time to think bout my position but wasn't given a reason on how or why, which is originally what she was suppose to call and speak to me bout. This management team is extremely high school like as far as respect/communication. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS AS A JOB. read more

After a few years of learning local resale scene (I live an exciting life) - I've found my favorite. OUAC is my favorite. They have a well organized oasis of resale clothes, toys, gear, and more. This is definitely the biggest resale shops I've been to. Be warned - you could easily sink half a day in here. I'm ashamed to admit that I've done it more than once. Organized by sex, size and item type it's easy to hone what you are looking for and get right to it. The thing is I have two kids and tend to buy bigger sizes of everything so pretty much the whole store is up for grabs to me :D I usually go here for clothes. They have lots of end of season sales on top of their discounted prices. Sometimes 20% or more of what you can fit into a bag or my favorite $1 sale on select items. I found a name brand magnetic snow suit for $1 at this sale and that is - to this day - one of my favorite/best thrift shop finds. If you follow them on Facebook, they often have gift card giveaways and give you a heads up on upcoming sales. Be warned tough - OUAC are independently owned so a sale at the Kirkwood store won't translate to the Ballwin store. Sometimes the crowds - especially during sales - are savage. But other times it's empty. Like all thrift shopping, the selection can be hit or miss. Sometimes I walk out with nothing and other times two armfuls. That said, it's worth a look! read more

As a new grandparent, I couldn't resist the allure of low prices and nearby store to get a few toys for my house. Yesterday I bought a few and brought them home. One item was missing a vital piece. The other item was an adorable toy electric piano. The piano wasn't working, but I assumed it needed new batteries. When I opened the battery compartment, it was filled with corrosion. I returned the 2 toys the following day and received the refund but it was crazy how little they were bothered by the inconvenience and frustration I endured. A fair amount of the toys this store sells use batteries. Glad I stumbled upon it instead of a child. read more

I guess I'm just not a fan of these stores. Over the past 10 years I have visited the locations in the area. Perhaps what I like is not a great business model since that one is closed now. This one by far is the most organized. I will give it that. They have a Ipad check in and you can een watch your name on a screen to see where they are at with your resell items. The store is organized. The best I have seen. It was easy to find items. The staff at these places is something of a hard pill to swallow. Very robotic short and most of the time snarky. Here they just didn't talk so I guess ... Thanks? Most of my resell items were clothes that the grandparents keep in drawers for when she visits and doesn't already have an overnight bag. You know how grandparents are.. just in case? Did I mention they buy uneccessary high end name brands? I have finally got them to never remove tags until she is walking out the door with the item. But they still sometimes do. So she has drawers of new clothes without tags that never get worn. So we bring them in only to have the staff say that they won't buy because they are showing signs of wear. I could understand but their purchases are on display.. I can see where standards have been. And after all this I can say that it's not the worst one I have been to. But it's still so far out of my way that I won't come back. read more

I can be a bit of a brand snob...so this place is great! I can get Gymboree, GAP kids, etc. at really great prices. I have been always surprised at their selection. Recently, they have done some reorganization and it has improved the overall look of the store. The only thing I have not been able to find is shoes. They all seem to be VERY used...but kind of expected as kids are pretty rough on them. They have great bows for girls in EVERY color of the rainbow, which I love. Prices on those are pretty reasonable. I usually go once a season for my daughter and find some great things! read more

I come into this store twice a year for my kids because I live about 45-50 minutes away. I brought things in to them, and waited a total of 2 and half hours just to ask them if they could squeeze me in so I could get back home in time. But from the beginning of this shopping tri until the very end these ladies were extremely rude, did not make eye contact and didn't even answer back when I talked with them. I was shocked at the hostile ignorance towards customers! I mean grow up, treat people kindly, and goodness show some respect!!! These young workers were pitiful! read more

Love this place. They are on par with or even cheaper than goodwill plus they have MUCH more stuff and it's well organized. At most thrift shops all baby stuff is just in one section together so you have to dig and it can be really hard to find the sizes/styles you want but here it's organized by sex and age. Every item I pick up is either the price I would expect or maybe even a tiny bit cheaper. Stuff changes all the time so it's hit or miss but still usually find something. If you want cheap onesies you need to go. They are just in big bins so you have to dig through but they are $1. At goodwill they are $1.25+ and they don't have anywhere near the quantity to choose from. After going here my mother and I agreed we are done going to other thrift stores for kids stuff. read more

It's soooo frustrating selling to them. I have now had 3 different instances where I drop bags off and they don't even go through them. I caught on to this so I specifically put things in a particular order and found again that they don't go through them. I had an entire bag full of clothes and know for a fact they didn't even take them out of the bag. I called in and told them that it's a waste of my time and she said that closer to the end of the day sometimes they won't go through them. SO WHAT IS THE POINT of being a second hand store???? I dropped off at 3 one day and 11 another, both times they did the same. Which means this is probably happening a lot! Another time I brought in a huge bag of shoes, again they didn't even go through them and offered me no money. All that to say, the laziness of this location is definitely frustrating. If they did their job and went through the clothing bags like they are supposed to, it would be an incredible place to sell. read more

This is a great place to bring things for resale. They give you decent prices. It's actually much more difficult to shop here. Things do not stay in stock long. If you see a bike or scooter buy it. I purchased a Fisher Price baby swing October 13/17. It was 80.00 and the most expensive in the store. I thought I was buying the best swing they had. The swing broke and the baby fell but thankfully was not hurt! That's what is most important. My Grandson was born the same day as I bought the swing. My son started using the swing a month later and the swing broke when he was taking him out without any pressure put on it. I had to keep going back to the store to get a refund, they had to keep calling an owner( which took forever) and then they would only do store credit! I asked if they would start a claim for a recall and they said they would probably just throw it in the trash! Dissapointed! read more
