I know what you've been thinking. You've been thinking that for your entire life there's one store…read morethat has always alluded you. And that is a store where you can buy your alpaca skeins of yarn, your alpaca sweaters, your alpaca plushies that are so soft it feels like your hand is moving through absolutely nothing at all, but on top of that there was something else that you wanted. You weren't ready to make two stops, you only have time to make one. And you had to get home for dinner! Yes, you can buy your dry pasta here as well as your alpaca hats. But, that pasta is not going to dress itself. Just like you need to dress yourself in the best here, you're pasta needs to be dressed in the best as well. That's why there are no fewer than a dozen different varieties of olive oil, that you can buy in little tested guys, or fill a large jar from huge vats in the center of the store. For what it's worth, I can assure you've never seen anything like this before.

On Monday evening, we stopped in for margaritas ... mine was strawberry and his was lemon. They were fun and tasty! Tuesday we had lunch there. If you go, have patience. From the time I got in line to order, ordered and got our food, it was an hour. It wasn't overly busy ... about ten people. We got a margarita (mine was strawberry and Gord's was lemon). They don't have a big selection. Gord had Esquites (Mexican corn salad, ancho chili, crema, herbs, pickles and cortina cheese) and he liked it. I had Mexican Fried Chicken. It was good but not a great value for the $$. There were three small chicken pieces and they weren't boneless. They were obviously freshly cooked so hot hot hot ...yay! There were no forks ... just spoons and knives ... so it was hard to eat until it cooled down a bit.

We went here in March after seeing it listed in a winter activities ad and were happily surprised…read moreby the experience! Driving in, you see a cute farmhouse and separate building, where all the maple syrup magic happens...the steps to go in/out at the back are a little treacherous in the winter but manageable (a handrail would be useful!) We were taken on a tour by their young son who did a fantastic job of explaining the entire process as well as what we were seeing while we walked through the expansive, beautiful maze of trees. He handled all of our questions like a pro, and the best part was getting the impression that he genuinely loves doing it. When we returned from the walking tour, we were treated by fresh maple taffy, tastings, and a walkthrough of the maple syrup making process. We left with a (rare) bottle of dark syrup along with maple mustard and bbq maple sauce. Looking forward to making this an annual tradition!

Kind of pricey at 25 bucks but so good! Today I came and had one of the fresh ground (3 cuts of beef) burgers. I've not found very many good places to eat in the area so it's surprising that this food truck has been the only place I get excited to have lunch at! And to post a review on. The fries and "rosemary beef demi-glace" (fancy $2 gravy!) are really good too.
