The menu consisted of a cold buffet and menu items of the day. My friends ordered the buffet and 2 of us ordered the 'Loma de Pesca'. Our fish order showed up 20 minutes later as sliced filets of Lomo de Res. The waiter was profusely apologetic and stated his mind confused the meat with the fish. 35 minutes later, still no fish, but complimentary glasses of champagne for the delay. At the 45 minute mark, the fish arrived. More apologies and we noted the sauce on the fish had already congealed, so it had been sitting awhile. Coffee with some complimentary dessert bites. Sadly, the elegance and service I remembered was very much lacking. As a 'bonus', 20 minutes after leaving L'Orangerie, someone charged $1200 USD on plane tickets to Chile on the CC I had just used at the restaurant.

I don't know... this is a hard one to write because I love tea and the location is beautiful…read more However, they are simply not geared to host guests on site. First off, it's on you to figure out whether or not to order your drink at the cocktail stand or the kiosk with the pastries as well as paying through the waitress or at the stands. Secondly, service is terribly, terribly slow and anything besides pastries are a joke - do not get a salad here! The salads are prepacked in clear, plastic containers, and that's how they are served. You literally have to go to the stand to insist hey pick through and offer you one without wilted, dead, dark-green lettuce. Also, tea opens are very limited, which is so confusing and though I asked of the tea comes in a pot or cup and was told it would come in a pot (the only reason I ordered), my tea came in a cup with no explanation. Why would I go to a tea spot for a cup of tea? Some of my friends were frustrated and got coffees to be safe but they all came in to-go cups. I had to remind them 4 times for the little pastry I ordered and had already paid for as well. Go to buy loose-leaf tea, go to take photos, but that's about it.

They gave me a little timer (sand in an hour glass) to make sure I allowed my tea to steep long enough. The fruit salad was sweet and refreshing and the tea was aromatic and comforting. I do love a spot of tea in the afternoon.

First time we came it was in a Sunday and we had their brunch special which was a roast beef sandwich, french toast and a small salad. Amazing. Second time we came during the wk for a quick breakfast of muffin and coffee. Went again for lunch yesterday and had a steak sandwich w roasted potatoes. Their natural infused water are good as well. They have a great light menu when like me you have been in Buenos Aires eating tons of meat. Will miss this place when i go back to NYC, come in and enjoy their yummy coffee or a pastry and tea.

Example, just had lunch with my mother in law and wife, the in-law has fond memories of the place. We took our seats and it was a few min before the waitress came by and gave us the menus. We received and when ready to order we had to call her over; the. We ordered, after we ordered she finally came by with bread and drinks a few minutes later. They charge a table service which includes bread and water (no water was delivered). We got no plates for the bread I ordered a mixed salad and 3 empanadas Wife had a $17 entre salad, and suegra got a matambre al verdeo The food came in decent time... -My mixed salad was equal parts tomato slices , lettuce (not the crispiest) and onion... lotta onions... no love into that plate; but I just put olive oil and balsamic (seemed to be 100% olive, that's a good thing) - empanadas were not hot... the meat one was the one I liked the least it was just puree of beef - wife's salad was a disgrace. A couple leaves of ruculan, beat up mango and old brown avocado... and wet quinoa , and after the 2 forks of leaves were gone it was pitiful. It's supposed to be an entre. This is made by someone who doesn't eat salad and doesn't give a sheet about customers who do; and an establishment that doesn't care to keep good fresh vegetables. - the matambre was tasty, but very tough (super overcooked- probably cooked earlier and cooked again before serving) After we go the food the server NEVER came back to check; she tended to tables near by but made sure not to look in our direction. Seems the staff is trained not to look at the tables. Finally when we were done I wanted to speak to the manager- I noticed who it was and I signaled him over.. he tried to send the waitress but I made it clear that I was looking for him. He wasn't assertive when I asked "are you the manager " he just responded "what's the issue"... we explained about the salad. He says it "normally doesn't come out like that".. and he offered another... we said, the rest of us have been done for a while... no sense in ordering now. He got a little base in his voice about "I'm just offering something to make it up "... we said just take it off our bill.. too late now, (i5 been over an hour by then) What a shame.
