Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. This CO-OP opened its doors in July 2020 and does require just a little more a walk from Downtown vs. the much closer (and smaller) Tesco. You'll also find a separate coffee shop and Post Office here. It's also just a few steps from the train station if you want something for the road. We were happy with the wine selection and a few variety of English biscuits. I also indulged my print newspaper fetish and picked up a daily Guardian (except Sunday) at any opportunity. Check out is either self-service or not. I preferred the counter near the post office. The store was large, clean, and pleasant.
