The store is also near some of Birmingham's main attractions and it's handy that they have free cash withdrawals! They met my expectations of a convenience store as their products range from basic fresh vegetables to toiletries, pretty handy right? However for an off license they only had a small selection of alcohol. The staff were friendly and gave a casual greeting as I walked in and I could see they were bored they but they were surprisingly chatty when I went to the counter. In this day in age most people are trying to save money and Nisa Local has some money saving deals. When I went there they had an offer to buy two chocolate bars for the price of one. The products in general are quiet cheap as well and it was a relief to know they take card payments with no charge or them saying something like "you have to spend....to pay on card"

Price's are cheap to reasonable, and they sell a delicious large carton of orange for £2 which I always go in for. I highly recommend it! Zeb's is great for kids, but maybe not so great for parents, as children usually end up nagging for sweets every time they go inside. The selection of sweets is really great though, and I also remember trying my hardest to persuade my own parents to buy most of the sweet isle. Even today, I sometimes fail to resist the odd Dib Dab. The shop used to have a DVD store at the back of it too, I've bought some great films from there including Con Air for £1. I really miss that section of the shop, but I'm hoping they bring it back. We ordered a couple of hot beverages and then some breakfast. I opted for the sausage sandwich with brown bread, which was really good. The only downside is that the sausages were not cut in half and were left whole inside the sarnie - yes call me fussy but that's not how a sausage sarn should be! And I've had plenty of em'! We were never felt rushed despite us taking our time and chatting for a while. You can then pay at the till before you leave. Tesco describes this as "a change of consumer shopping habits", this is a change with all of their Tesco Metro stores which have been changed into Tesco Express or Tesco Superstore locations. This is probably the best supermarket in the city centre in terms of size and overall selection, I did find the stock to be a little depleted, especially on the Ground Floor with some shelves almost empty, but I do understand the shortages going on right now are causing harm to supermarkets, I hope and trust they are trying their best. It is over two floors, I personally want to get in and out of a store as quick as I can, especially with Tesco Express stores which are Tesco's answers to "convenience" stores, having to wait for a lift/escalator is just not a grab and go quick experience. The checkout area seemed a little messy, and the staff didn't seem too interested. It would be great to see a mobile scanning and payment system implemented here, which makes the overall experience much quicker and more consumer-centric, similar to what Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer now offer, at their nearby location(s). It's also great to grab a work lunch or something for dinner in the evening. At the weekends I'm a big fan of their 2 for £10 deal which includes a main, side, desert and bottle of wine for £10. This offers is always available and clearly signposted in the fridge section. Plus it saves of cooking and ain't nobody got time for that.
