ASDA is well known for being the cheapest of the main supermarkets and I must admit that I agree. I often spend less in ASDA and get so much more. ASDA now has added electronic self serve tills to my local store allowing you to scan your own shopping, great fun!! lol Asda not only sell groceries but sell electronics, cd's, books, clothes, and I could go on forever. Recently ASDA have started to put more things on offer, it had previously simply aimed at customers by being the cheapest but now have offers such as 2 for 1. Keep an eye out as you can get some brilliant bargains on roll back! Most asda stores now sell petrol too, which you can pay at the pump - great for if you have a baby with you that you don't want to leave alone. Overall I love ASDA, shame they don't do BOGOF items though!!

However, a reasonable product range for a small store, and they are always quite well stocked. Interesting point: it falls within the historical city boundaries and there is a lovely marble feature in the lobby showing the expansion of the city since the mediaeval times. Nice touch.
I visited this branch of Sainsbury's after an interview at Coventry University to refuel. Situated…read moreon a sloping street I found it very difficult to even get in!. There were 3 door on the street but none of them seemed to be open or working. So I had to go around the corner to find a main door. This is a rather compact version of the usually large Superstore, but has everything your average student will need: beer, crisps, pizza. Very close by to the University and centrally located in the city for easy access for all the residents. All the tills were open and busy when I went, which is good to see as that means rapid and easy service. Rivals, I would say, are the Tesco which is also nearby.

The food in Sainsburys is much better than our over local shop Morrison's…read more Im actually 99% certain you will find the food you buy here top notch. And if you dont like the food you buy, because you are disapointed just tell sainsburys. They gave me a voucher last time i did and they were really nice about it. Saisburys pricing isnt as cheap as other places so if you dont like paying extra than this is not for you. Store is fairly old but staff are great most of the time and its always easy to find what you are looking for. Always has great offers on as well, and the pre-cooked meat from the counter seems to be quality on top of the quality that you already get. Tesco's and Morrisons are not as great for quality but if you dont mind paying a little extra its worth it. Also bakery has a large range of cakes which is always nice, but make sure you dont leave it to late in the day or there wont be any left. Can become really busy which is a pain but overall good store to shop in, food great but is more expensive than other supermarkets.
Sainsburys is a great supermarket. And this smaller store is no exception…read more They have a great range of fruit and veg available even having seasonal items too which is good for a small store. They also sell the usual stuff like every other supermarket. Uusally this store gets quite full, but you never seem to queue for too long which is good. Customer services are helpful in every aspect, which cant be said for some stores! They also have a cafe too, which is really nice and reasonably priced too. I have been here a number of times on my lunch. Its really nice.

Prepare to spend a lot of time in here if its your first visit and you're planning a walk down every aisle. It has a large clothing department, entertainment and toy department. Oh they also sell food. They have a really nice salad bar too. There are several retailers within the tesco arena shop including to name a few: dry cleaners, library, game and carphone warehouse. There is also a cafe which can get busy on match days. Check out the conditions of parking if you're going up on match days! 2 hours free any longer you need to spend £25.

Situated next to the Ricoh this is the biggest tescos in Europe. So why they put it in coventry is yet to be seen. So much choice for everything. My weekly shopping store. Prices are cheaper than sainsburys and morrisons…read more Staff are ok, but not helpful when something is wrong Store is kept clean and products are well set out in a clean, easy to find manner Apart from it being cheap and reasonable value, the quality of the food for me isnt good enough. Yes it is good for some of the quality brands but Tesco's own brand for me is too cheap. For example the ham from Tesco's was 25p cheaper than Sainsburys. But the Sainsburys Ham was a lot lot better. Worth more than 25p better in my opinion. The self service tills do seem to be a bit of a pain and there always seems to be one plonker who is right in front of you who doesnt know how to use it. Can be an efficient way nevertheless. Tesco's is my weekly shopping store for branded goods, but i wouldnt use Tesco for its own branded stuff.

There is good parking and many other shops located with the cannon park shopping centre so it makes it well worth a visit if you live quite close by. However, for a more complete shopping experience i would adivse the Arena Park tesco which is the biggest in europe and sells almost everything in one store.
