My recent experience with trying to sign up for a membership with Costco was more than disappointing to say the least. I am 17 years old. I recently went in to sign up. The women working customer service was beyond disrespectful. She was forceful in trying to sign me up for a credit card, after respectfully declining multiple times. She then, raised her voice and was disrespectful to my friend who was just standing next to me. She said, and I quote "Don't tell her what to do, you're screwing her out of a good deal." in a very aggressive manner. She eventually was willing to let me sign up for just the Gold star membership. I signed up with one email, and she kept telling me that it wouldn't work. She then proceeded to get me to sign up under another email account, which was also unsuccessful. She then said "Well you could have just signed up online." Which I then replied with, "If I was able to, then I would not have driven all the way out here to purchase a membership." She then sent me away and told me it was not her fault that this was not working. When I walked to my car, I got notified that I had been signed up under two separate email accounts. We then walked back in to ask how I had been signed up, but still unable to purchase and use the membership. She became increasingly rude. We were treated with the most disrespect I have ever experienced. She lied to her coworker about our prior interaction, claiming that this was my issue. She then started telling me that this is all because I am not 18. This is incorrect, as the Costco website clearly states that to open a new membership, you must be 16 years of age. After a solid hour and a half, I left with no membership. They were unwilling to delete the accounts they had created. This is no way to be treated. She was more than rude to me. I continued to stay respectful, even during frustrating times, however, she crossed a line. As a customer, I am disappointed that this was the beginning and the end of our business relationship, as I will no longer be purchasing a membership. As a company that prides themselves on good customer service, this was absolutely absurd. Having such disrespectful employees, being the face of the company, does not make me feel confident in them at all. I am absolutely disgusted in the fact that I was treated like this, just because I am a minor. read more

Costco's great as usual, came here to pick up some groceries. Canada has some different items than the US, particularly for baked goods and snacks which were interesting to see. They don't have Chex Mix here which is sad, and their European cookie box had a lot of white chocolate. The eggs are also in huge portions (5 dozen, 2.5 dozen) and the smallest was 2 dozen but organic and hence expensive. No tofu nor 2-lb spinach either. All of this is probably dependent on store and Canada vs US, but all is well regardless! Found a lot of items we usually get like bell peppers, mushrooms, cheese (which was also different and smaller packs), milk (sold in 1 gallon instead of 2), fish, and some other items. I also noticed their food court doesn't have churros and has chicken wings, chicken fingers and fries, and poutine. Good pricing as usual and self checkout lines are great! read more

Newest Costco in Calgary. Lots of parking and it's a Costco. Staff are friendly and got the usual Costco items from huge boxes of food to electronics to food area Kirkland. Gas station and liquor located here as well. Not getting the usual 4 or 5 stars most Costcos get as the cafeteria is one the slowest slowest ones ever. Line up was only 4-5 people deep but took 20-25 minutes. Twice this has happen. If you like Costco to buy not eat than this location is ok. read more

This location is somewhat closer to where I live. Plus its new so I decided to check it out. Though the staff are mostly new they were very efficient. It got a weird lay out for the bread though its separated from the bakery area...maybe its temporary Since its my first time, the navigation is not smooth flowing which is fine. The aisles are huge...love it. Clerks are friendly. Well stocked up aisles. Just like any other Costco...well not really...its cleaner...since its still pretty new, its not as busy yet. The bonus....gas station! Love, love! It is recently situated at the end of east hills shopping complex. There are more stores opening up soon. Stay tuned to my added review down the road. read more

I was at the Easthills Costco in Calgary, AB and had an unpleasant experience. I was waiting in line with my family and one of the managers who had short blonde hair and a short skirt came to what I thought organize the line. Instead she rudely told customers to, "go, go, go, move, move, hurry" with hand gestures that were implying "hurry up." Her tone was extremely inappropriate and gesturing customers as if they are a herd of sheep is quite unwelcoming. I have had good experiences at this Costco location up until this point. I believe customers should be treated with respect as well as employees to maintain a friendly environment. Just my thoughts, I want to ensure she does not create a hostile environment for customers. As well as her attire (short skirt) was inappropriate for a workplace that holds high standards. We can see tattoos all over her arms, legs, etc read more

Tire centre service was disappointing. I don't know what the point of making an appointment is if they have to take 20 mins to find your tires when you get there? Also had to wait close to two hours for them to balance the winter tires and put them on the vehicle. We were there on a Tuesday and would not say they were overly busy. Seems if they were more organized things would have not taken as long. Thinking next time we may go to a smaller locally owned tire shop. read more

By far the best Costco I have been to. The store is always clean. Staff are always friendly. Lots of sample booths even on weekdays. Even when the store is busy you get through the checkout fast and efficient. read more
