We were instructed to go to a drugstore and purchase ear wax remover and return in 3 weeks for the hearing test. Apparently, they can't clean ears. Given that her ears were just cleaned by an ENT the previous week, I am suspect of this business. We were there less than 5 minutes. The ??audiologist?? at this location was substituting for the regular person who was on vacation. I declined scheduling another appointment in three weeks, blocked their business phone as spam, and unsubscribed. My next destination Costco-- I do not recommend HearingLife under any circumstances.

She found the source of why one of my wife's hearing aids didn't work (needed a replacement for a clogged filter), cleaned and tested both aids; she also checked and cleaned my aids and advised that I needed to have filters for them (original provider never advised me of the need.) The Hearing Aid Dispenser, Jacob, was SO patient with my 80 year old mom. He spent the time with her to clean her current miracle ear hearing aids, giving her a tune up, and administer another hearing test. He was so thorough and explained things in a way my mother could understand. This was an overall great experience and I get the sense that it is for many others as well. I watched as Ramona answered the phone, accommodated each person who called or dropped in, and she called each person by their name from memory as they came in for their appointments. Then Jacob would greet them with a smile. They are a great team that make meaningful connections with their customers.

I saw Dr. Kortebein and I have never felt more seen or heard by anybody in my entire life. He listened patiently to every detail I wanted to give him, went over my MRI in depth, and developed and changed treatment plans several times based on my comfort and needs without any judgement or pressure, validating my thoughts on everything. He did not rush my questions about the injection and I felt he would've taken as much time as it took for me to get the answers I needed. I asked him if I could see him for my other pain with my fibro and he welcomed me back to talk anytime to help my neck pain. There was something so healing to have someone validate your pain who obviously knows and sees pain daily and understands how it effects the whole mind and body. Dr. Kortebein is extremely intelligent, objective, easy to talk to and very passionate about what he does. I am grateful and hopeful to have found someone to help me improve my quality of life. I've also seen PAs there who were also wonderful and front desk is always friendly. I also love that they screen for depression and anxiety every appointment.

He raised his voice and said "doctors don't like that answer. It's either a yes or no". He then said "I don't mean to be an asshole...". There's no black and white with pain. How about asking "on a scale of 1 to 10, how and where is the pain?" Then he ordered a cervical MRI which was totally not needed if he had allowed me to state the previous treatments before he rudely cut me off.

While sitting there a man in a black Ranger Rover pulled up and proceeded to park on the handicap ramp. He was parked there for over 30 minutes. This is not a parking spot. The man came out of the business and put a box in the back of his vehicle. It wasn't a particularly large box. Why the business allowed this is beyond me. If he is the owner of the business then shame on him. As someone who occasionally needs to use that ramp, this irritates me. People need to be better! Also, he saw me taking pictures and didn't seem to care.

A few months later, she was having some issues that needed adjusting. He was super kind and helpful in handling the adjustments, even shaving the hearing aid down for my mom so it would fit better. I guess?…read more Finally got through to the ER nurse, who then told me "shift was changing" and to "Call back in 30 minutes" --this is an emergency... THEN I call back and they tell me they don't take calls until 10 am. SO... I guess if your parent has an emergency, you can call within set hours, but not while they're changing, and not before or after certain times so if you want an update, good fucking luck. Shit staff.
