Not the normal location that I go to and I've never had a bad experience at other staff at other locations but this location was super rude. Did an app order, in the location less than 2 minutes. Tipped them with cash $5 on a $10 order, completely rude and ungrateful. Tipping is not required and I did not have to do that and they acted like it wasn't enough. That's a 50% tip. The enchiladas and chicken taco salad were excellent tonight. I see many negative reviews and have decided these people should blame themselves. I've had lousy tasting food at all the California-burrito type places. This is like going to a Mongolian buffet. YOU choose what goes in your food (burrito, etc) and it's not easy to get a good combination. I found I should keep it simple. Some refried beans, very little rice, my favorite protein/meat, cheese, and some type salsa or pico de gallo. I get lettuce, diced tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream on the side. For the chicken salad I make it simper. Tortilla, salad mix, pico, cheese, and grilled chicken. With the creamy green salad dressing. I've tried getting these items with most everything--it was flavor overkill and I didn't like it at all. The people at Costs Vida are generally very pleasant and helpful. Know what you want before getting in line. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The sweet pork is their most popular item, but I HATE IT! It's always clean there except maybe a few straw wrappers near the soda machine. They move things along well and do care. I've found that if I treat them well, everyone is great to me. I'm shocked by all the negative reviews.. you must all be part of a group that is nearly impossible to please. I used to be a die hard chipotle girl.. I ordered from them easily 3x week while on the go on my way to work or after a long work day and I was pleased with them for a very long time but their prices just kept going up and up and they got more and more stingey with their portion sizes. I enjoyed my salads from them with the guac and honey chipotle vinaigrette until it became $20 for that salad with guacamole, barely any meat, wilting lettuce and no vinaigrette half the time. I know everywhere has become expensive, and I'm willing to pay a higher price for quality, but I just wasn't getting that same level of quality anymore, so I stopped going a year ago. I switched to Qdoba as they have a much more reasonable price, and guac is included for free, not 4 freakin' dollars on top of your entree's cost. They were decent for a while, and they've maintained their price, but their quality went far downhill as well. I had two especially bad experiences at the one in Nampa that led me to stop going there. I like Cafe Rio okay, but it's not somewhere I would frequent.. it's out of my way and can be hit or miss. Eventually, I decided to try Costa Vida, which is in a convenient enough location for me, and offers some unique options for toppings for your entrée like salsas you don't see at any of the similar chains. I've now been about 5 times, and the customer service, accuracy, and quality of my meal has been nothing short of excellent! I LOVE the Raspberry Chipotle chicken salad.. it's so tasty and is at least a couple of bucks less than Chipotle's salad, which I honestly don't miss anymore because Costa Vida's tastes way more fresh. Okay, sometimes I do miss the honey chipotle vinaigrette, but I've heard from multiple people now that they're charging for that now, too, even when you order a salad, which is such BS It's all good, though, cause the Raspberry Chipotle sauce satisfies my need for sweet and spicy flavor ... and they have a honey honey Habenero salsa as well that's very flavorful too. Anyways, if you've never been to Costa Vida and are reading this now, don't listen to all the haters on here. Go visit yourself and try something off their menu. Maybe you'll like it like me, or maybe you won't, but you might just be pleasantly surprised like I was, and no matter the outcome, at least you can say you've tried it. Enjoy! Where to start... my first time to this place and it will be my LAST!!! Not only is the food overpriced but the females including the blond with nose ring as the Manager is the rudest, most unprofessional, unfriendly crew I've EVER ran into! Not only did they mouth off to me but they have no idea what customer service is or that the customer should be treated professionally! They shouldn't even be working at McDonald's. When I asked for a little extra rice- beans- meat they acted like I was asking for more than my share- They not only under served me and over charged me but the blond so called manager shouted rudely as I left- THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU CAN HAVE- NO WONDER THE PLACE WAS EMPTY - YOU GOT MY $20 BUT YOUR GONNA LOSE MORE THAN THAT BECAUSE OF YOUR RUDE- CRAZY PEOPLE WORKING THEIR! Usually when you go to Costa Vida the employees rush you through all the toppings and maybe even place the plastic lid on the container before you can say everything that you want included. I am the type of guy who usually wants every single topping. The gal who served us on Saturday did a great job not only giving us a proper portion but also gave us all the toppings we asked for. read more

I've been going to Costa Vita monthly for several years now, but today I've decided to start going to Los Betos and other great Mexican food locations around instead because the portion sizes at Costa Vita have been reduced so dramatically that it's immediately noticeable! Burritos and salads seem about 33% - 50% smaller than how they were just earlier this year. The value and portion sizes offered at literally any other local Mexican restaurant are a far, far better option now. Costa Vita please get your act together dang!! read more

What a joke. Visited this location for the first time for lunch today. Ordered a Baja bowl. Was asked what meat I wanted. "Grilled chicken," I say. The worker proceeds to put grilled chicken on my Baja bowl. Cool. I get to the register and I'm charged $15 for the bowl. I asked why it was so much when the menu board says it costs $10. It's because I "ordered double chicken." I explained that I never said the word double. That I simply said, grilled chicken. The person at the register and the person who made my food proceed to argue with each other in Spanish, which I don't understand. They bring someone out from the back who continues the Spanish. I don't even know how to defend myself because I don't know what they are saying. Then, in English, the person from the back tells me I ordered double chicken and that the price is correct. I never said the word "double." Besides, if I had said "double chicken," wouldn't the worker have then had to ask me if I meant grilled or shredded? I reiterated one more time that I never requested double chicken, that I only wanted to pay for a Baja bowl with grilled chicken. I said they could make me a new one if it's such a big deal because I don't want to pay $15 for something I didn't order. The person from the back takes the food from me, tells the worker to make me a new one and throws away the perfectly good food. This is something I cannot comprehend. We throw away perfectly good food now because somebody can't interpret "grilled chicken" at a restaurant that serves grilled chicken? I guess when you're a successful chain, you can afford to have crappy employees. Anyway, I left at that point. So ridiculous. read more

To me this is another cafeteria type Mexican place similar to two other well known 'grills'. I did love the fresh made tortillas and the sweet pork tacos that I tried, but felt the staff behind the counter was a bit too concerned with portion control. Chips and Salsa..... In order to enjoy all the chips, one must have plenty of the other, and plastic cups smaller than the chips are annoying :) I just love lots of Salsa, and I know that chopped up tomatoes with a little cilantro is not Salsa to me. We did get another side of blended salsa, but not enough for the chips AND the meal. Yes, I will more than likely eat here again if near here, as they have more on the menu to try than just tacos. read more

This was the worst Costa Vida experience I've ever had. I got the smallest scoop of rice and protein. I was in shock at the amount I was given. To top it off I got to the sides area and they wanted to charge me over a dollar for the smallest scoop of rice. The steak was chewy and it was just a not worth it visit to Costa Vida. read more

Costa Vida has been my 'go-to' fast food Mexican option for almost a decade! I love their sweet pork, but I also occasionally get chicken or steak. Their portion size is good (the small salad may be on the small side if you're really hungry - and the large will probably turn into left overs). I e been going to the Nampa location for almost 5 years and have found them to be professional, courteous, clean, and efficient. Often around the holidays they will do a gift card special (like buy a $25 gift card get a free $10 one) and we usually buy 4-6 to stock up for the year! We also had them cater our small wedding reception! Definitely a good choice! read more

Terrible service. If I order enchiladas a la carte any other location then it comes with enchilada and lettuce on top even when you order it online it lets you pick how much lettuce. But when I picked up my food no lettuce just a super small enchilada with nothing on it. Then my tres lechas was dry and it is supposed to be a wet cake. Also I ordered 3 ranch dressings for a salad and paid extra and only got 1 dressing .So disappointed I will not be coming back to this location read more

First time eating here and I have to say I was surprised on how good the food was. I got the Chile Relleno enchiladas and although it looked a little small, (portion), it totally and completely filled me up. I probably could've shared this plate. The food was scrumptious, and the rice and beans went well with the chile relleno. The ONLY thing, though, was the food wasn't hot when we got it. When the food is luke-warm to not warm whatsoever, I get a little turned off and the food doesn't taste as great as it can be. Overall, though, I would come back. read more

Worst Costa Vida location on the planet, ordered on the app, went in to pick up the order, the first employees said they were working on my order, 10 minutes later when I asked again they said they were working on my order, and then asked the person who looked like the manager because he was the only one not wearing a face mask besides multiple employees in the back, he was very rude and said there were a lot of people ahead of me, but several customers had come and gone while I waited, and there was literally no one ordering for most of the time. I asked for a refund and seconds later they miraculously had my order. Some of the employees weren't even wearing gloves, some were not wearing a mask, and they weren't even nice about the fact that I waited for nearly 30 minutes to get my order. read more

A BIG thank you to Juan and Victoria and staff for their excellent customer service and for adding DELICIOUS FOOD to my daughters bridal shower fun! They came and set it all up with warmers and everything and all of the food was awesome! I am already planning the next event with Costa Vida catering to make it easy and delicious! UPDATE: We used Costa Vida again to cater 2 lunches between ceremony and reception for my daughter's wedding, at the same time, on the same day and once again we were so happy with the food and so were our guests! Once the order got to my house it was missing an entire order, plus the other 2 had several things wrong with them, and it was listed on my receipt with 1 of the 3 orders missing and $26 dollars. The choices were a bit overwhelming but that is a good thing! We tried the grilled chicken burrito and nachos and they were tasty. No frills decor but the place is clean. The food is very good. It's a bit pricey which is fine when everything else is on point. Not the case with this location. I love the sweet pork enchiladas. I cut into mine today and there was almost no meat in them at all. The young man helping us acted as if we were an inconvenience.
