By the time we hit town, decided sharing a pot of hot tea after a fairly easy 10 mile hike was the thing to do to end the day, so that with a shared scone accompanied by butter and marmalade was just fine, indeed. Holy cats this place is busting with business. Not a seat inside, but luckily we grabbed a table for two outside--likely saving the folks inside from the somewhat less than desirable fine aromas that could be emanating from our hiking gear. Easy enough: want to know where to eat? Look for the lines. They're right here. We walked by several other tea purveyors and none had the crowd. And thereby I designate this as good as it gets in the town of Richmond.

A different approach to this ruin in that it's not manicured but wild flowers allowed to grow. The car park is adjacent to the cafe & caravan area. It's a CC CL. Public toilets in the cafe. Well worth a visit.
