They display their menu outside which is very convenient and easy way to have a peak at what is being served. The waitress was very friendly and took my order immediately. I am a salad guy and I tried their Mediterranean Salad with Goats Cheese, Pesto and Pine nuts. It was delicious and plenty to serve as main lunch. They offer french bread with the salad (which I decided to skip). Their coffee is very good and falling short of superb. It is quite good hence it did not affect the 5-star rating I am leaving. There is one small downside - there is no free wi-fi. Come on guys, next time I visit I want to connect to the Net of Things for free :) I quite enjoyed my hour spent there. Worth visiting.

Its not the cheapest place for lunch but you get what you pay for. Delicious sandwiches, panini's and salads. There are also different specials every day. My favourite is the ploughmans its the best Ive had. Kids love the freshly made milkshakes. In the summer you can sit outside in a lovely terrace. The staff are friendly and very efficient - they wont keep you waiting even though every lunchtime the place is packed out. If you are in Maldon in the summer I recommend their special evening eat as much as you like barbeques.

Tried this after seeing the review on here and like to give places a chance…read more Very clean - sterile almost - bare, white and minimal, not really my idea of a place to relax and have coffee. We had a standard and very large cappuccino. Well it said cappuccino but it came out of a vending machine, basically, operated by the owner. I have never seen this in any cafe before, only at stations or motorways service stations and unsurprisingly it tasted about the same. Yuk. Thought it was the same price as a real one that you could get elsewhere in Maldon. The staff were friendly and helpful and the cafe menu looked fair enough with (veggie) breakfasts and food available throughout the day. I won't be back though. I prefer a warm, relaxing environment and more to the point ... properly made coffee!
