This review isn't to tell you about Costa Coffee in general, I'm sure you all know enough about it as a franchise already. This is specifically to rate this branch, and you'll notice the single star straight away. It was dirty. Everything was dirty, and it made for a very unpleasant place to be. The glass covering the various sandwiches and cakes as you queued was smeared and smudged, which puts you off straight away, but worse was to come. The tray they gave us was sticky and had some red fruit tea or something on it, and the one the person in front of us had wasn't much better. The spoons and knife they gave us were appallingly dirty, and it's something I've never understood - do they not have dishwashers? The glass I had was sticky too, and on the handle, so I couldn't avoid it. The tables had clearly only had a cursory wave of a cloth over them too. Just a really nasty place. Talking about the products seems incidental now, but the hot chocolate orange I had was luke-warm at best. Costa is well & good but dont go to this one if ur in a rush. staff are lovely but much too slow!

I take my lunch at Costa Coffee in Queensgate Harlow almost 5 days a week. The staff and service there is excellent. Both Shannon and Kim make sure this coffee shop runs like clockwork. read more
