Freakshakes in Bristol!…read more When I was told about this cafe selling Freakshakes in Bristol, I couldn't quite believe it. I thought that was just a Shoreditch deal. But no, this cafe really are selling some fine calorific freakshakes! It's a basic cafe inside, with a small fish tank (always nice to see fishies), there are even some sofas to sit on if you really want to get comfortable. I went on a Saturday lunch time, and even though there's quite a lot of seating available, the whole place was full. I had to make my order and sit outside for 10 minutes, luckily I sofa became available so I quickly nabbed my spot inside the warm cafe opposite the fish tank. We ordered 3 freakshakes, Invision Our Vanilla, Peanut Butter Passion & Raspberry Roulette, all of which were really, really good. They tasted amazing and they looked so freaky too. We did have these as a dessert and had ourselves some savoury paninis first, which were very tasty too, especially the BBQ Pulled Pork Panini. I'd totally recommend going to this place, even if it's just for a panini/sandwich and a coffee, but if you make the effort to go here you've really gotta have a freakyshake. In my opinion its perfect for somewhere to grab something to eat, and their coffee is actually really good - this is probably one of my favourite cafes in Kingswood. The staff are always really friendly here too - although they could do with having an extra pair of hands as occasionally the food takes a while - but apart from this you can't complain. Pricewise it's very reasonable in here and it won't cost you an arm and a leg for some food, which is another reason I like the place. As well as breakfast they do a main meal menu, as well as a selection of wines and deserts. Although I cannot say how good the rest of the menu is, judging by our breakfast the prices are also fair for the main menu. The only thing missing is a website where you can view a menu and opening times. I understand you can book larger parties with them, however this would have to be via the phone as there is no email or web contact available.
