David, amazing acupuncturist and owner!
Kendra H.

Love this place! It's affordable acupuncture in a community like space with people defined .of by screens or small rooms. I love how laid back it is. I made a 2p appointment, arrived 10 minutes late and no one was on my case. They let me lay with the needles as long as I felt comfortable and until I felt like I was done. The owner is really nice and he did do quite a few needles, not just a few so I really felt like I had a full acupuncture treatment. I'll be back for sure!

Previously my psychiatrists would always tell me how bad certain behaviors or feelings were . Dr Goldenberg does not make you feel guilty about things you have done or thoughts you have . There is an issue , okay let's address it instead of making you feel even worse about things. Dr Goldenberg is always quick to respond through email and educates you about the side effects you may experience so you are not thinking what the heck is going on here ? Long story short He does his job really well . He is not a psychologist do not expect therapy . I'm a psychologist that works with personality disorder and trauma, and I continue to refer clients to him due to the high quality of care he provides and expert consultation. When Dr. Goldenberg takes a case, he engages in ongoing consultation with all treatment providers to ensure consistency, continuity of care, and overall highly effective treatment all around. He never assumes authority over any other provider, and engages with each as colleagues supporting each other's work for the best outcome for a client. As a colleague, he is an invaluable resource on every case he works on. All of my clients have reported very positive experiences and successful outcomes with their treatment with him. They often report he is highly respectful of their needs and wishes, never pressures any client to take medication or engage in an intervention, and offers multiple options and perspectives on how to achieve their goals. He is very kind and approachable, and clients report they trust him to work in their best interests and feel very safe in his care. If you are a client or a referring provider, Dr. Goldenberg will certainly exceed your expectations and provide expert care and supportive treatment.

As a person in recovery, I have been in the care of a lot of doctors. Being a doctor is a lot of work, but being a doctor for an addict requires an extra level of understanding. It takes patience and quite a bit of extra time to figure out a patient's more sensitive needs and often long and detailed drug history. I have been seeing Dr. Peterson since I moved to LA in the spring of last year, so for over a year now. I notice a stark difference between his methods of practice and addictions specialists I have seen in the past. Dr. Peterson has really taken the time to get to know my personal history with medications I have been prescribed in the past and double and triple check my subjective experiences with these medications while in addition to my medical record. Often for addicts, medication is an emotional subject; Dr. Peterson's therapeutic communication is superior to all other doctors I have seen since shifting from regular family physicians to addiction specialists and I have always felt comfortable and never embarrassed in his care. Dr. Peterson has gone above and beyond to get to know me as a patient and a person. He knows addiction treatment is more dynamic process than writing patient prescriptions. He understands addiction as an incurable disease that requires lifelong treatment and tackles this truth head-on with a contagiously positive and motivating attitude. It is a fact that Dr. Peterson has improved my quality of life not only through his care as a medical provider but also as a role model. Another point I would like to note is that he remains conscious of a patient's financial situation, another example of his ethical excellence.

PCH has become a really important presence in my life over the past couple of years. Prior to…read morefinding this treatment center, I had arrived at a point in my life where I was facing extreme depression and, even more problematically, crippling anxiety which left me struggling to keep up at work and unable for the most part to leave my house. At PCH, I graduated down from 5 days a week intensive therapy to 3, and so on; at this point, I'm seeing an individual therapist twice a week with one alumni group meeting a week, and it's keeping me where I need to be. I've made some great friends, being part of a community of people who understand me and the struggles I face. I've also been lucky to encounter some of the most skilled and--perhaps more importantly--most involved and engaged mental health professionals I've ever come across. Too many in the profession seem to be either incapable or checked out, indifferent to the plight of their clients who are going through a personal, private hell most people can't understand. The road to a new life is a long one, but I've hit a lot of major breakthroughs, all thanks to PCH, to the point that I now am able to get out more, work on my social life, get to the gym more frequently and manage the stresses of a very intense professional life. Thank you PCH.

Because of my bad review the owner of the program is now sending me a generic response about not…read morebeing able to respond to fraudulent posts. My post is anything but fraudulent so let me remind them of what they put my family through: WHY I CAN'T RECOMMEND PCH As the mother of a former PCH patient, I do not recommend this treatment center. In fact, I believe my 23-year-old daughter, who dealt with suicidal ideation in the wake of her brother's cancer battle, might be alive today if PCH had been simply been honest with us. NOT LICENSED FOR RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT This is not a licensed residential treatment center; they are only certified for intensive outpatient, a fact PCH neglected to share with us. From the start, their representative was not transparent about how their off-site client living arrangements would affect the type and amount of our insurance reimbursement--a detail that cost us tens of thousands of dollars. Did they care more about receiving our $28,000-$32,000 a month (upfront) than potentially crippling us financially? Were they taking advantage of our desperation? WHAT FELT LIKE BAIT AND SWITCH After she called Blue Shield, our PCH intake person told me we had "great coverage" that would pay 50 percent for the first $7,000 out of pocket for out-of-network treatment; after that, it would pay 100 percent. Before admitting my daughter, I also called to verify this was an accurate reimbursement for out-of-network residential treatment and Blue Shield confirmed it, so we thought we were covered. Two months later, we found out PCH never even billed for residential treatment. Instead, they only billed for intensive outpatient treatment (3 hrs/day, 3 days/week)--a term we'd never even heard before! Billing for intensive outpatient resulted in reimbursement of just a few hundred dollars a week--a tiny fraction of the tens of thousands we had paid upfront each month. It was only when I called PCH, asking for preauthorization for my daughter's third month, that they told me our insurance was being billed for intensive outpatient. I couldn't believe it! "What are you talking about?" I kept asking. "She LIVES there." This new employee couldn't/wouldn't explain it to me, simply saying they were billing correctly. During another call, the same employee became so flustered she put on her supervisor, who was also unable to provide me with a direct answer. She then connected me with PCH's CFO, who acted defensive from the start and began interrogating the family friend I had on the phone with me. It took 5 minutes before the CFO finally admitted the truth: under Blue Shield, PCH doesn't qualify as a residential treatment facility. That's because they aren't even licensed as one. If the CFO knew this, why didn't our intake person--and why on earth didn't she tell us this from the start? NOT SECURE ENOUGH FOR HIGH-RISK PATIENTS Even though PCH talks about residential or in-residence treatment on their website (I have bills listing my daughter's care as residential), a true residential treatment center is locked-down, meaning patients can't leave the premises unsupervised. This is a very important distinction and one that many frantic parents may not realize as they seek out a safe place for their loved one. Even though PCH is supposed to be focused on mental issues, many patients there had addiction problems as well, and this often frightened my daughter. When her brother began losing his battle with cancer, my daughter became emotionally depressed and chemically unbalanced. She would have been much safer in a true residential facility. PCH lets its patients leave alone on "passes" for hours at a time, and after my daughter ended her life, I found a note describing how she planned to carry out her suicide while off on a PCH pass. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE The truth: my daughter wasn't safe at PCH, but then I didn't know that all treatment centers weren't set up like this. I do know she was miserable there and seemed to be getting worse, not better. After realizing they hadn't been forthright with us, we pulled her from PCH. If she'd been someplace more secure (and transparent) all along, our story might have ended differently. Instead, my daughter came home and went into intensive private therapy. I wish I'd admitted her to a real residential treatment center, but after such a horrible experience at PCH, we were wary. Once she took her life, I told her PCH Program Director, yet no one in upper management bothered to drop us a card or extend their condolences. Total silence. My whole experience with PCH was not only negative, but also heartbreaking.

He focuses on conservative treatment methods such as physical therapy before just diving in and doing random medical procedures. I have been dealing with bulging discs in my lumbar for the last 7 years or so and my general practitioner has referred me to Dr. Jung. We started with physical therapy with minimal relief. Dr. Jung recommended we do bilateral injections in the impacted areas. These have helped provide some relief but not permanent. Unfortunately, COVID hit and it reduced treatment options for a period of time until he was able to start doing injections for me again. Unfortunately, we had to have a double laminectomy which was performed by Dr. Shamie (a colleague of Dr. Jung) and that surgery was very successful. I started getting similar symptoms after about 18 months or so and we had to have an MRI done. The MRI revealed the surgery was successful but scar tissue was growing in causing the new symptoms. Dr. Jung recommended another injection as surgery would not be logical as removing scar tissue will just create more scarring. These injection was not as successful as we hoped it would be, so Dr. Jung recommended another injection spinal cord stimulator which has worked wonders. I am very grateful to Dr. Jung and his fellows that he works closely with as he is constantly empathetic, kind, caring, and does everything he can to help with pain management without just giving a ton of pills. I highly recommend Dr. Jung as he will do everything possible to help you. I must mention the office staff are phenomenal and very helpful.
