If you're looking for a BJ's type store with bulk food this is the place to shop. They have beer and liquor. Understand if you go late on Saturday they will be out of a lot of things. We had a house rental and were buying food and drinks for the house. It was a time saver to just go here. They also sell chairs and snorkels if you were looking for them. Most items are reasonably priced with the island up charge. I would go here first befor going to other smaller markets.

Rum at $10 a bottle. Cheapest I found on the island.

Cost U Less is where to go to stock up on groceries while on vacation on St Thomas. It's a short 10-15 minute drive from Marriott. There's plenty of parking. Don't forget to bring your own shopping bags. They only have boxes to carry out our goods. Sometimes there weren't any boxes at all. CUL carries bulk items. Which is great for grill meats and sandwich meats... but if you want streak sauce and ketchup you really don't need a large two pack bottles. This store has bacon and eggs. Water, Milk and juices. Fruit and Vegetables. Rum and wine. Everything you need. The smaller stuff... we went to the 'Market' and 'Pueblo'. You can definitely see the price difference. I recommend Cost U Less to save you on food.

This is a big warehouse place like Sams. Most food is in bulk. We shopped for 8 people for a few days and spent about $1200.00 USD. Yes that is twelve hundred dollars. Food is incredibly expensive. How do people eat here? Once bag of salad mix 10 oz is like $9. Alcohol is decently priced for bottles, beer is a bit higher. Sale on liquor was great prices. The staff was a bit annoyed we had 2 carts full but they were still pretty nice. the alcohol selection is good. Food selection is good. Booze ie cheaper than food so stock up on the booze...

Cost-U-Less on St. Thomas definitely lives up to its motto, "Your Best Value" while in the U.S. Virgins Islands. The store operates warehouse-style, offering discount food and general merchandise products. There is no membership, but if you are living on the island, sign up for the rewards program - I saved $30 on an almost $350 on my grocery haul. If you are traveling to St. Thomas, staying a week or longer/have access to a kitchen, and looking for affordable options for groceries, then I highly recommend you shop at Cost-U-Less. They have some of the best competitive prices and options on the island. Beer, wine, liquor is pretty inexpensive. If you want to support the local economy, I recommend Cruzan Rum (produced on St. Croix, VI) it runs less than $10/One-Liter bottle or Love City Hard Seltzer (produced by St. John Brewers) is $24 for a box of 12 cans. Example of various item prices (as of April 2022) are pack of water bottle ($5) - check your rental property as most drinking water on the island is cistern filtered. Two dozen eggs ($10), bacon ($17), soy milk ($5), yogurt tub ($6), coffee creamer ($4), bananas ($1.09/lbs), bag of clementines ($9), bag of limes ($7), loaf of bread ($9), cantaloupe/honeydew ($4.50/lbs), strawberries ($8), peanut butter ($7), toilet paper ($19). Enjoy your stay in the U.S. Virgin Islands!!!

I have no complaints. We were able to get organic (soy) milk, eggs and flavored sparkling water for about New York City prices without any discounting, like what Whole Foods does. I didn't chase down all of the essentials since we packed a lot of food (and frozen meat) in our suit cases before traveling here. I paid $7 for a pineapple and mango from a street vendor. Do they negotiate here?...

So we grabbed a taxi and headed to the resort. When we finally arrived we grabbed some drinks and dinner at the resort, but wanted to have some late night snacks and waters for the room. I asked the girl working at the front desk if there was anything within walking distance and she gave me directions to this place. We headed towards the front gate and walked to the store. It is rather close, maybe a 5 minute walk from the resort. It's a dark path mostly on the side of the road and it might seem sketchy, but it's not. That's just island culture. Relax! Nothing to fear. We walked in and were surprised at the wide variety of items they have. Beer, liquor, meats, cheeses, fruit, lottery, oil for your car, etc, etc. They even have different vegan cheeses, which was a pleasant surprise to me. Yay! Listen, the store is overpriced but what places aren't in St. Thomas!? It's all about the convenience and hours when it comes to this place. We bought some waters, fruit, cheese, and crackers and headed back to the hotel. It's a great little store for anyone staying near Coki Beach. FYI: They will have anything you want and/or need for your hotel stay or a day at the beach. Enjoy!

When we said "thank you" to the cashier upon leaving with our items. And it's really not you if you find the cashiers sucking their teeth at you and don't utter a word throughout the transaction. It's them, I really think a majority of them are allergic to being nice. But we saw the best experience last week: Customer: "you shut up" Cashier: "no you shut up" Customer: " you shut up you're a grown woman shut up" Cashier " I don't need to shut up you need to shut up" Customer "shut up shut up shut up" Cashier " you shut up shut up shut up!" (While being dragged away by another cashier) Shopping and entertainment? We think so. We've also learned over the past few years that the items fluctuate in pricing. Earlier this year we bought a 55" tv for $850 the next few days we went back to get another one the price jumped to $999.99. There is no price match here, only a "I think we priced it wrong when it went out onto the floor". Same thing happened for a ottoman we purchased. We got it for $99, we decided again to get a second one and found the price jumped to $299. So lesson learned here, is that if you like it and it looks reasonably priced, it is probably due to human error, so buy it now before they catch the mistake. Also make sure you check expiration dates, they don't care if you take expired items or items a few days away from hitting those dates. The worst part of this store is the to go food counter. Beware of the undercooked grey meat and if you complain about your fries being cold be prepared to get a stinky look. The best was a few days ago the hubby asked 3 employees lined up (back behind the counter doing NOTHING )if they were going to give us our order and the response was a stare back and the cashier going off on them and still no order. This is one of the few stores with no hurricane damage, they carry Kirkland products and they are still receiving regular shipments so you can actually find things. What's scary about all of this is that pricesmart isn't that bad in comparison to other grocery stores so imagine of what you'll get to deal with elsewhere! #St.Thomas #USVI

We stayed at the Marriott Fisherman's Cove (MVCI), which has kitchens and laundry... because we like cooking on our trips. We shopped at Moe's three times during our trip. It's a good store with good staff and good selection Prices... Groceries on St. Thomas are quite a bit more expensive than the mainland, which I'd not Moe's fault; the other grocery store was similarly priced... at roughly 2.5-3x the prices at home, St. Thomas groceries cost about the same as in Hawaii. Selection... Moe's has a great selection... of items you're familiar with from back home. Sure you're still in the US of A in the US Virgin Islands... we were thinking there may have been some more "local items," but we recognized most everything... Oreos, Keebler and Chips-ahoy and other cookie brands; Tostitos chops; spaghetti sauces and sodas and more; the eggs and beef were from US farms. The store does have something unique - yellow watermelon / golden watermelon... we purchased it thinking it was pineapple but it wasn't... it was a watermelon... not pink but golden yellow... but it was goooood. We recommend you try it, too! We recommend shopping at Moe's ----- ----- -----

My mother in law has found everything that she needs here to make anything she cooks (which is great from the hubby & I!) . They are very well stocked and prices are of course higher than stateside but we are on an island. 3) Kings Hawaiian Bread and Hawaiian Host chocolates- a taste of home, can't pass that up 4) the cheapest fresh herbs and spicy peppers on island - our refrigerator at all times is stocked with at least a bag of Serranos & jalapeños and 3 bags of cilantro 5) their pre-made Roti section Anything outside of the list above can be found at another store at a more reasonable price. They were one of the first grocery stores to get up and running after the hurricanes and did some price gouging like $10 for a tub of Greek yogurt and $11 for milk? Not cool, hopefully prices will go back down. The cashiers are also all miserable and barely say a word to you, but that's the theme of this island (poor customer service). Lines can be long and the parking situation is a free for all outside on the weekends so try to come here during the weekdays. #St.Thomas #USVI
