It was probably my biggest concern when we moved to this city! I needn't have worried though. Primecare Pediatrics has a patient and diverse staff (huge plus in my book)! They are a focused, attentive, engaging and did I mention patient? Dr. Tega takes his time to listen to parental concerns, answer questions and make each child feel like he's known them forever! I would highly recommend Primecare Pediatrics to any family.

My son's illness did not agree - but we have definitely found our new pediatrician! She was friendly, caring, and knowledgable. Dr. Justice never misses a beat. Whatever I need for my children all I have to do is ask. I'm a hard mama to please and I don't give anyone a break when it comes to my babies and their health. When I take my daughter to the practice they always have a room to put her in to reduce her contact with others while there or her contact with sick children(she has a weakened immune system). Both my children love Dr. Justice. She is thorough and patient we have never been rushed out of the visit. She has stepped out of her "doctor" role and given me mom advice on many different things. She was open and honest about her own personal struggles with being a mom and how she tackles different situations. We love it here and as long as we continue to receive them a same level and of service we will be here until the kids grow out of the practice. The only con I have is the billing we have had some issues with that but that was resolved quickly as well. It's happen twice but it was fixed.

I'm finally fed up with it and choosing to go elsewhere.

If your child would be a new patient already with a diagnoses on the Spectrum they will not accept…read morethat Autistics IN-NETWORK insurance even if the Autism is Level 1 and very mild. Incredibly discriminatory. If your child is NEUROTYPICAL they will accept the same insurance and allow Dr. Dickerson to be their primary care Dr. - not the case for your child with any neurodiversity. Additionally their policies online on their practice could have been written more clearer by my Level 1 Autistic child. The lack of clarity and how complicated they explain their policies on their website is unimpressive - same with how the front desk attempted to explain their policy which is essentially if you have a diagnoses you have to cash pay and sign up for their plan. It could be simply explained in a couple simple sentences - don't play games with us special need parents- we go through enough. My very high functioning gifted Autistic child takes no more time with his pediatricians than my neurotypical children. If we needed extra time like many patients might, I could understand a different fee for additional time. Completely discriminatory to NOT accept insurance for a child simply due to a diagnoses, however mild it may be. Never had this issue with our other providers before our move and were always treated fairly, with respect, and if our PPO insurance was in-network with the provider our insurance was always accepted despite any diagnoses for any child or us as adults.

UPDATE: Dr Akey moved :(…read moreWe are so heartbroken. He truly was THE best Pediatrician I've ever met. I wish him only the best! We have been to see Dr Akey 3 times now. I almost don't want to give a review because I'm selfish and want him all to ourselves lol He is hands down the best pediatrician. They don't have doctors like him anymore. We have a newborn and a toddler and he's great with them both. He's a "get on the floor with the kids" type of doctor. He doesn't push vaccines and is all about good health and great supplements. His office is very accessible with great parking and it's located on the bottom floor. They have cute decorated rooms and a sick room, as well as a nursing room. The staff is amazing. They are busy but you don't suffer for that. They run the office well and will take time for all their patients. Denise does both front and back office and she is always very sweet and caring with the kids. I've been to many practices where the MA is so busy and not happy and kids pick up on that too. Thank you Dr Akey and staff for your TLC! So glad I found you!

I was relieved as this ailment has been going on far too long. I'm waiting for the prescription for a few hours until I see an after visit summary saying he decided not to send a prescription. It's a bullshit move as we could've discussed other options on the call. He's not a doctor I would go to again. I will report this experience to the telehealth provider and make sure I don't get him ever again.
