This is my favorite place in Berlin to get a quick, THOROUGH, relaxing facial. They have nice…read moreoffers every month for massages and various beauty treatments- but I usually stick with my tried-and-true "Hautputz." Basically, your face is cleaned, steamed, every impurity is extracted (sometimes painful, but always necessary...lol), followed by a nice soothing mask to reduce the swelling, while you snooze. The main facial room is "klein aber fein" and very relaxing...white curtains, large mirror, soothing music at times, cozy CLEAN and relaxing atmosphere, for sure. During your treatment, you can opt for some nourishing oils or masks to enhance the process...but beware that it will cost extra. I always kindly decline and stick to this basic facial...my skin is always thankful the next day and I have my own facial oil at home, that I am happy with. As with all facials, please do not make plans to be in public until at least 2-3 hours post facial...lol. You don't want to scare people with that leper-look. :-) I usually get mine at night after work, before going home.
Prices are very reasonable... Hautputz is less than €30 and I try to do it about once every 4-6 weeks. My skin is prone to impurities and blackheads, etc- so it's necessary. I also like the small waiting area, where you can sip some lemon-ginger tea and relax prior to your treatment...
Ánother highlight of this studio is of course the Jade massage beds. You choose a scent you like (ex: Grapefruit, rosemary, lavendar, etc.) , lay down on a massage bed, located in a nice, dimly lit, quiet room with others getting the massages (each bed is separated by a bamboo screen for privacy). You are given a blanket to cover yourself in (everyone is fully clothed, by the way...just shoes are removed)and then a glass screen is put around your head area, so you can breathe in the scent while the massage bed is activated...so you you get a nice 30 min nap and soothing massage at the same time... all for €7 Eur. The massage is nothing over-the-top...so if you need a "REAL", manual massage, of course you have to pay for it.
All-in-all I am very satisfied with Körper Vitalis and my special aesthetícian there (not naming names, keeping her and her free appointment slots to myself....MUAHHHH-HAAA-HAAA! ) and would def. recommend it for anyone looking for basic skin care and maintenance.
