We stayed right next door at the hotel and came here for dinner one night. The portions are huge…read moreand "American sized" and the dinner here is much more affordable than if you eat on the actual Mont St. Michel, but the food was just okay. It tasted a bit mass-produced, and I wasn't a fan of the appetizers. The fish entrees were pretty good, but overall, I've had much better French food in France. You probably don't have a ton of choices when it comes to eat on Mont St. Michel, or somewhere close in proximity, so this place is a decent choice. It was probably my least favorite meal during my entire week-long trip in Brittany and Normandy. The restaurant itself is quite large and fits a lot of people, but I would suggest calling ahead of time to make a reservation if you want to be sure to get a spot during peak tourist season. I went in April and was able to get a table the day before. Appetizer - We both had the parmesan pannacotta which was just so-so. Maybe this would have been better if it was a smaller portion but it was just odd and too cheesy for my taste. I had to eat it with the bread to dilute the taste, but the bread that was complementary was probably one of the worst breads I've had in France and was reminiscent of grocery store French bread I could buy in the States. The pannacotta came with some tomatoes and lettuce on top but it was just odd. Too much cheese and not enough other flavors or textures to balance it out. Main Dish - I got the fish for my plat and it was pretty decent. The portions were quite large and it was enjoyable but not super memorable. You can't go wrong with choosing one of the fish dishes. Dessert - My salted caramel crème brûlée was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was generous in size and tasted good. I would definitely recommend this as the dessert. My husband got some apricot dessert that we thought was going to be more like an apricot ice cream parfait but it was just weird and neither of us really liked it. Overall, it's still a decent place to eat, and reasonably priced for the portions that you get. It will be cheaper than eating on the actual Mont St. Michel, but I didn't really find anything spectacular about this place. Edible but not super great.

I had fish and it was fresh/tasty. The clams and fries my wife had looked good too. Actually I tried abit of it and it was good. My children had the childrens steak meal, and they ended up finishing all of it (most times I have to struggle to get them to eat). At the time, there were only 2 servers serving the whole restaurant so it took awhile to get our order and our food finally served. The food here is fairly priced too. I think for the 4 of us, our bill was under $100 euros.
